My mum has been a resident for the last 4 years. She has everything that is suitable for her and her needs, staff are friendly and attentive. They have always made a fuss of her. Being a nursing home I have the added confidence of her support. Interactions between residents is a big positive. I have
no negative comments to make other than Four Seasons are slow to implement government changes during the unlocking of Covid.

I have used Bishopsmead Lodge Care Home for about 3 years now for my elderly mum to have respite care whenever I have gone on holiday. They have always made her feel really welcome and special and when I've picked her up she always says that she was well looked after. The staff are always cheerful and
will out of their way to help her. I really couldn't fault it.

My nan is currently in care here, and although I can’t visit, I speak to her on the phone and see photos posted by the care home, in which she seems extremely happy and having lots of fun!
So good to see the residents busy with activities, and you can see they are enjoying it.

I have no worries or concerns about my aunt at Bishopsmead Lodge.
Bishopsmead has been her home for several years now, and she has been treated with care, compassion and respect by everyone there.
The efforts made by the whole staff team to provide the residents with a happy, safe and fulfilling life
is just brilliant.

My friend is a resident there and she thinks it is fantastic, Staff very friendly and the place very clean and food lovely. She is very happy there and feels like it is home to her. She is really enjoying having company as she has lived on her own for years. Can wait to be able to come and visit her

Cannot answer a couple of questions as she came into the home a few days before the lockdown. But she is a completely different person than she was before and she is putting on weight, and she is a lot happier.

Very attentive, friendly and efficient staff who invest actual time with the residents, take an interest and engage with them. If you call that are unfailingly polite and if asked to pass on a message or similar they always do so. In-person they go the extra mile and show that they genuinely care.

Although I did not wish to go to a rehab situation when told by the hospital that it would be better than going straight home. I now am very grateful that they did. I have made some friends here, residents and carers. My room is very comfortable. I have a nice size room with its own bathroom/toilet
washroom attached and a large window which looks out onto the entrance and the road leading to the local primary school. So there is always something to look at. I am happy here.

I find it extremely concerning that when Mum presses her pendant, the staff may not come to her aid for at least 30 minutes plus. I just feel that there is not an adequate number of staff to cope with the number of residents. On the flip side of this, the staff that are there do try very hard to do
all they can in the time that they have. I just wonder what would happen in an emergency. Also, I find there is a serious lack of communication from management as there has only been one meeting involving resident's families in the whole five months Mum has been there.

Old people do not like change and I was heartbroken to leave my home, but living alone was miserable, having no family an issue, so I had to seek company. I found "Bishopsmead" was OK. Food and cleanliness is a priority and the staff are happy and helpful. There is something for all the residents and
we are settled and enjoying our new lives.

My grandmother stayed at Bishopsmead Lodge from May 2016 - August 2016. Prior to this, she had been in a different care home which was terrible. I have to say that Bishopsmead Lodge was a breath of fresh air.


All of the staff were polite, patient and loving towards my Nan. She had vascular dementia,

which meant that she would get confused and upset quite often. Sometimes she would be inconsolable. However, the care home staff would always rush to comfort her... giving her cuddles, telling her stories and playing imaginary games with her to cheer her up (like putting flowers into a vase, to simulate gardening). The food was always hot, the rooms were always clean and there were lots of activities for the other residents. Sadly my nan passed away in August, but the staff were always at the end of the phone to offer support and some even came to my nan's funeral. It is very difficult to find a good care home for your loved one but Bishopsmead did a fantastic job

Staff and facilities are good. Decor- good. Food - poor. It's not good to mix fee paying and non paying. The position of this home is good for my aunt as it is near where she lived and makes visiting easier for family and friends (she is nearly 100) but 99% faculties.

We found this care home to be caring in every way and our aunt, spent the last 18 months in a happy environment. She reached her 100th Birthday and was well looked after.
