My relative says she is 90% satisfied with this nursing home. Last Autumn, this nursing home was bought by Welford Healthcare in a convoluted financial acquisition, which raises alarm bells with me, as a web search is not very flattering. That said....my relative is happy and says the home is probably just like most others. It is spotlessly clean and pleasant. The staff are its best asset and clearly do their best. So I could recommend it.
Hi Stefan,

I am very happy with all the care
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're delighted to know you were happy with the care your husband received, and we truly appreciate your support.
Kind regards,Westbury Care Team
Kind and understanding care. The staff have aways listened to what I and my mother suggest regarding her needs and have acted on them. The rooms are cleaned every day and clean linen is applied to the beds. The rooms have on suet facilities and chairs which residents and relatives can relax in. The lounge and dining areas are clean and comfortable. The activities are varied and the residence are encouraged to take an active part in the different sessions that they enjoy. The management ensure that the residence safety is paramount. Wearing of alarms so that the residents can call for help. Up to date equipment for moving and lifting patients. The management up date care plans with the residents relatives and the nursing staff's communication with residents and relatives is constant.
Hi Rhoda, Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear your mother has felt well cared for and comfortable at Westbury Care Home. Our team truly values your feedback and will continue to provide the kind, attentive support you've described. With many thanks from Westbury Care Team.
All the staff are friendly, helpful, and caring. Showing great kindness to residents and relatives, keeping family well informed about their loved one's well-being, going above and beyond, providing amazing support to the family until the end. The home itself is spotlessly clean and comfortable and the food provided is outstanding. Also, the social activities they provide are varied and always enjoyable. In all, an amazing place.
Thank you for giving us exceptional feedback that will surely inspire Westbury Team to continue to provide excellent care to the best of our ability. Kind regards,Westbury Care Team.
My Mum wasn't at the Westbury for long, but for the time she was there, she was well looked after. Mum had advanced dementia, and no longer spoke much or smiled, but seeing her smile and kiss one of the nurses, told us she was as happy as she could be. The Home and my Mum were always spotlessly clean, which was lovely. All the staff were welcoming and professional. Mum wasn't there very long and sadly passed away this week, but as a family, we are very grateful for all that you did for her. Beautiful home, lovely staff.
I hope you and you are family are okay. On behalf of the Westbury Care Team, I would like to thank you for your inspiring feedback that you gave us. I will share this to the team. Kind regards, The Westbury Care Team
As a few weeks ago auntie passed away some of the staff who were not working took time to come the the crematorium to show their last respect. The home had laid on a small get together for a few of the the residents that new her and few family members this home is excellent to a very high standard we cannot say enough for what they have done for auntie thank you all.
You are welcome. Thank you for giving Westbury Care Team a very inspiring feedback. Kind regards, Care manager and Westbury team.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to find care for my father, who had sadly become ill, at another care home. Upset and full of anxiety at the thought of my father being held in hospital, I telephoned Westbury Nursing Home to see if they could help. After a call, I was told I could drop in at any time, and I did! I met the Deputy Manager, who immediately made me feel heard, and his calm approach was wonderful at an extremely worrying time. After viewing the room and the home, I felt they had the care and patience to care for my father.
The Deputy Manager came to assess Dad at the hospital, and he offered him a place. With advanced dementia, Dad, who didn't converse well, shook hands and smiled, and I knew this was the right choice. Dad moved in the next day. Sadly, Dad passed away within 36 hours, but the care he received and the compassion shown to us will never be forgotten. The staff are so friendly and caring, and grateful that they helped us in our time of need.
Thank you for giving Westbury Nursing Home and the staff wonderful feedback. I am sure this will inspire them to continue to provide excellent care services and strive to be better healthcare professionals as they can be. Many thanks, Home Manager.
Whenever we visited we were always made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble..
Sadly mums health deteriorated in March this year and we were told as a family, that mum was at end of life. The support and compassion we received from the staff that looked after mum was above and beyond. We as a family cannot thank all of them enough.
The manager of this nursing home should be extremely proud of each and everyone that cared for mum ,domestics, cooks, the activities and carers.. They all deserve much appreciation...
They were like family and even came to mums funeral.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you all did for mum and us as a family.
Thank you for this feedback. I am proud of what Westbury Team have achieved and it is truly inspiring. As a home, we are working hard to be as homely as possible not only to the residents but to all our guests. Staff will be proud to see your feedback online. Kind regards.
Have been visiting family members for 3 years. The residential home is beautiful. Staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. Home is spotless but has a lovely, homely, family feel. The manager is so helpful, as are all the other staff. Friendly, but very professional. I have no worries at Westbury Gardens, my family member is in excellent hands. Thank you, Westbury Gardens Residential Home.
Thank you for the lovely feedback you gave us here at Westbury Gardens Residential Home. I am sure the staff will be thrilled to hear these positive comments from you. We will continue to strive for excellent service to our residents to the community. Kind regards, Westbury Care Team.
In January my mum had to move to Westbury Gardens from hospital. The transition was very smooth due to excellent communication with the main office carehome Manager. Mum has settled in well and enjoys being here. I've been visiting mum a lot recently since I don't live locally. When I'm not in Bristol, anytime mum needs anything the onsite managers are quick to email me. When I visit, all the carers and managers are very friendly. Everyone has been so nice. Mum also says everyone treats her very well. Mum is not very active so she doesn't join in with the social activities arranged. She does get asked to join but she prefers to rest and watch TV. As I don't live in Bristol, I am so relieved that mum is in safe good hands and is being looked after well. I'm so grateful to all the staff at Westbury Gardens.
Thank you for giving the home excellent feedback. For sure the staff will be thrilled to hear your feedback which I strongly believe they deserve. Kind regards
The nursing home was exceptional in their care of mum and her family. They were professional but also deeply caring. To be told it was an honour to care for mum so sums up their attitude. It made the end of her life as good as it could be.
These homes use no agency staff and are willing to do whatever it takes. The homes are both spotless and the residents, even when bedbound, kept spotlessly clean.
Thank you to you all.
My mother has been living in Westbury Garden Suite since November. She has a warm, bright garden room which is always clean and tidy. She loves the activities available, especially singing, and trips out are a highlight for her. Food is excellent and served on welcoming small group tables, and the home has a cozy, comfortable family feel to it. The staff excel in their warmth, compassion and professionalism, really caring for the residents and taking time to get to know them well.
A truly wonderful home for my mother who has Parkinson's disease and dementia. Staff are so caring, taking their time to get to know all the residents individually and helpful when you have questions. Nursing staff and management have exceptional attention to detail and communication is effective and timely. Everyone is approachable. Whole place is spotless, activities are varied and activity leads go the extra mile. Thank you! I would definitely recommend this lovely home.
Hi Helen, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience with us. Your feedback will inspire the staff to continue to provide quality/genuine care and strive for excellence. Kind regards, Westbury Care and Support Team.
My mother is a fairly new resident at Westbury Care Home. I am so grateful for all the care, kindness and respect that has been shown to her. The home is spotless and the meals are nutritious and tasty. Teatime always has its treats. My mother has just celebrated her 99th birthday. There were banners, balloons and a beautiful cake, all done by the staff. Thank you for the treatment and care she has received from all members of staff. A truly outstanding organisation.
Hi Naomi, Thank you for your excellent feedback, it will definitely inspire the staff to continually provide quality care. With this feedback, I can say that you feel reassured that your mum is in a good place. We will strive for excellence and that will be the foundation of everything that we do here at Westbury Care Home. Best wishes
We as a family cannot recommend this place enough for the care of your loved one.
The nursing home made my dad's last weeks, comfortable with monitoring dad's pain relief and symptoms. Treated Dad with dignity and respect always speaking to Dad directly and honouring his every request, so kind of you all.
They looked after Dad and us as a family, with kindness care and compassion, huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for giving us such wonderful feedback. I am sure the staff will appreciate this, especially since it is coming from you guys who are a loving and caring family. Your dad was very lucky to have you guys, and it also shows that he was such an amazing dad. From the manager and Westbury Care Team
My father moved to Westbury Gardens from Kent, having had a short spell in hospital after a fall at home. The staff were wonderfully supportive as he settled during what was a very difficult time for him. The garden is a lovely, thoughtfully furnished home. With only 20 residents, it's not too big and the overall atmosphere is homely. It has a beautiful garden which is well looked after and is lovely to sit in. Many of the staff have been there for years and there is a good rapport between them. The food is excellent and there is a good range of activities. The staff are all very helpful and communicative and I'm confident my father is being well looked after. It is a very well organised and managed home and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
Thank you for giving us an excellent review. I am sure the staff at The Gardens will be proud of themselves. We will work hard to maintain and provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents and visitors. Many thanks, The Garden staff.
We have travelled a long way to visit our mother and were apprehensive as to what kind of nursing home she is in. On arrival, we were so relieved and happy to find such a lovely, cheerful and bright home she is in. We feel content and happy knowing she is in such a caring and good hands. We feel she has settled well, considering how many moves she has made. She enjoys the food and is very pleased with how many times her room is cleaned. We are confident that her time and good care will continue as we've witnessed. Thank you.
My mother has been in the care home for two years. Initially, she was reluctant to go into care but now she acknowledges it was a great move. The home is a lovely environment and the staff are wonderful. The quality of nursing care is first-class. One of the biggest advantages of being in the home is the level of social interaction. The home recently put on a stage show which involved both residents and staff. It gave my other a real joy and was a truly enjoyable event. Social functions and entertainment are regular events here in the home.
A delightfully caring, peaceful and harmonious home that gives individual thought to the needs of all residents of the Gardens at the Westbury. In the time that my mum has been there, she has relaxed and flourished and I can always feel confident that she will be safe and well looked after.
Staff know and understand my aunt well. They adapt their approach as things change. There is currently an activities coordinator, and it is good to have the regular activities that go with that. Staff ring us promptly about my aunt if the need arises. Email could be used more to get information about events and general updates about the home through to residents' families.
Thank you for your review of The Gardens; it is very much appreciated. We always aim to give the highest level of care, and this reflects in your email to us that we are achieving this. Activities and events are regularly advertised, but I agree that any events or updates can be emailed to residents' families, and we will put this in place.
