The staff have been exceptionally supportive, caring and professional during what has been an emotionally trying time. Mum has settled and the staff are very sensitive to her needs for which I am grateful.

My mother has been a resident for almost three years.
I can honestly say I cannot find fault with her care or the home.
The home itself is very clean and has everything my mother needs.
The nurses who work there are wonderful, always very friendly and helpful and get on with my mother well.
Over
the years she has had opportunities for trips out, beauty and hair appointments.
There have also been numerous events and family days at the home which are very welcoming and good for the residents.
I have always found my mother well catered for and very well looked after.
Overall I am very happy with Beaufort.

The home gives extremely good care to my father, and we could not ask for a better place for him to be.
When we are not there, you know they look after him like family.

My mother is 99 years old, very deaf and very set in her ways. She has been cared for very well by all the staff and management. She can be very difficult at times but that is probably due to her age. I couldn't care for her as well as the staff do and for that, I am eternally grateful.

After a 2-month stay in hospital being treated for an infection last year my father was no longer able to walk, therefore his needs had changed dramatically (he was diagnosed with vascular dementia 8 years ago and had been in a 'supposedly' specialist dementia setting for 2 years prior to his hospital
admission).
While initially in the hospital it had been inferred to me that my father may not recover.
Twelve months later my father has gone from strength to strength thanks to Beaufort Hall and the care he has received there since November 2016.
What a difference, as although he has not regained his mobility he is very happy (and although Beaufort Hall is not a specialist dementia setting the support my father receives is far superior, proactive and effective than in his previous setting).
He is integrated fully with the other residents, is provided regularly with both occupational and creative activities and most importantly staff who genuinely care about him. Thank you so much.

I live overseas and rely on them to care for my mother and to keep in touch with me regarding her welfare.
I am completely confident that she is getting the best possible care.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.357)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.357) out of 10 for Beaufort Hall Nursing and Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.457 for Beaufort Hall Nursing and Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 116 Ratings = 4.457
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaufort Hall Nursing and Residential Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 registered maximum number of service users is 6.6, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
