Silver Trees is a luxury 62-bed home set in the sweeping landscape of Somerset. Featuring two dining rooms and four lounges, the home offers a tranquil setting for residents in receipt of residential, nursing and respite care. There are 75 staff members, including a dedicated activities coordinator.

The countryside home boasts a secure garden where residents can enjoy the peaceful countryside in a safe environment. The home sits adjacent to an array of shops and has excellent transport links nearby.

As well as providing high-quality, person-centred care, Silver Trees also places high value on residents’ wellbeing, offering an in-house salon for them to relax and be pampered. There’s also free Wi-Fi access for all.

Silver Trees offers outstanding care for its residents. As well as the staff undertaking industry-leading training to help them deliver the very best care, the home also offers virtual dementia training for friends, family and stakeholders. Mother has been a resident at Silver Trees for the last three years after breaking both hips and becoming immobile. Staff extremely accommodating and always obliging. Home exceptionally well kept, clean and fresh. Visitors welcome at all times! Home well designed with multiple lounges and open areas.

Alina Tarba

Job Title: Registered home manager

Alina has an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, and qualified as an RGN in 2015. She started in a junior nurse role, before becoming lead nurse, deputy manager and now home manager. Prior to this, Alina also worked as a care assistant and senior care assistant, gaining essential skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of the home.


Alina adopts a safe and dignified approach to her delivery of care, ensuring the health, happiness and wellbeing of each resident. She leads by example, developing effective teams and a positive working environment, which is essential for both the team and the clients.


She finds Handsale an extremely supportive and rewarding company to work for, who put the safety of both the residents and staff above all else.
