I am completely satisfied with the standard of care my mother is receiving; she is treated with dignity, and all aspects of her care are performed to a high standard. Excellent laundry service, the person in the laundry deserves a special mention, she goes above and beyond, she irons new garments before
placing them in the wardrobe, and she is a huge asset to the care centre. My mother's room has commanding views of Swansea Bay and is spotlessly clean, so is the entire building.
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Swn-y-Mor Care CentreThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that your mother is receiving care delivered with dignity and to a high standard. Your kind words about our laundry colleague will be shared with the team this level of pride and attention to detail makes a real difference. We also appreciate your comments on cleanliness and the environment. Thank you for your support.

My Father was resident at Silvertrees for just under two years, during which time the staff that looked after him were fantastic. It's all about the staff - and the carers here are superb - I regularly arrived to find carers in chatting to my Dad which made his time here far more pleasant - Its all
about the staff!
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Silver TreesThank you for your kind words. We're very proud of our team, and it's wonderful to hear that their time, conversation, and care made such a positive difference to your father's experience

My Mum has been at Silvertrees since April 2023. She speaks highly of Silvertrees and the nursing and care team despite always having said she did not want to be in a residential home. However due to her medical needs this has been necessary and there are so many positives about Silvertrees - the friendly
care team, those that make her perfect tea, those who are kind, the laundry girls who went over and above to find her missing top, the girls for always helping with bits and pieces, the nurses for ongoing diligence, the wonderful varied activity programme, the welcome and hospitality for visitors , the speedy response to queries from the management team, the striving to improve, the seasonal events such as the summer garden party and Christmas meal for residents and families to share together. I could go on. It's not easy having to negotiate the care system but we appreciate everything that Silvertrees is doing. Thankyou.
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Silver TreesThank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful review. We are really pleased to hear how well supported your mum feels and that the care, nursing, activities, and wider team have made such a positive difference for her and your family. Your kind words about the small, everyday acts of care, as well as our events and ongoing commitment to improvement, mean a great deal to us. We know navigating the care system can be challenging, and we truly appreciate your trust and support. Thank you again for your lovely feedback.

My Uncle has been at Swn-y-Mor for just over a year now. He is very comfortable as the staff ensure he is well taken care of.
He is now disabled and can't move on his own and I know that the staff are there to help with his needs.
I am overseas so it is hard to contact my uncle all the time due
to time difference but the staff are very helpful in emailing me weekly and keeping me up to date with any health issues. I find them very welcoming and warm.
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Swn-y-Mor Care CentreThank you for your kind feedback. We are pleased to hear that your uncle is comfortable and well supported by our team. We are glad our regular updates have been helpful and appreciate your positive comments, which we will share with the staff.

My mum was in for respite in Westerfield Care Home for 4 weeks over Christmas 2024/New Year 2025 before becoming a resident in July 2025. The support and care the whole family get from the staff is exceptional. They are always willing to listen and are very reassuring. Nothing is a problem to them!
My mum is settling in well at the home. I feel very reassured that she is safe and in a caring environment where all her needs are being met. This is a very well-run care home by a great team. Thank you.

My Mum was a resident from December 2022 until August 2023. My Dad is currently a resident (since November 2023), so I have been a regular visitor to the home (nursing care floor) for two and a half years.
I have nothing but praise for the Home. There has never been an issue that hasn't been immediately
addressed, such as Mum losing her false teeth and Dad losing his hearing aids!
The care staff are absolutely brilliant - nothing is too much trouble. They constantly engage with Dad, who has Alzheimer's and the personal care that he receives is excellent.
The managers are really helpful do an excellent job. They have been pushing through changes and improvements which are appreciated by residents and visitors alike.
Dad loves the food! He tells me that he is very happy to live at Silver Trees and that he feels well cared for and safe. I used to look after him at home and the fact that he now feels like that gives me huge reassurance.
I want to thank the staff for their efforts.
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Silver TreesThank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience. The care for my mother at Silvertrees has been very good. She has been there since November 2023, and throughout her stay I have always felt assured that her needs, physical, mental and social, are being met.
The staff are friendly, kind and considerate. It's always a pleasure to see them.
For special
occasions, the staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate and enhance the occasion. I am very grateful for this.

I have been in this care home permanently for around 16 months and my observations are that overall I am quite happy with my care here.
The staff are helpful and friendly and I have a good relationship with the deputy manager, who is a friend to me, whom I can talk to about any problems that I may
have. I believe that this care home has a good positive attitude and feeling from everyone concerned, the management and staff.

Exceptional care and facilities. All the care staff are friendly and approachable and all take time to chat with residents and relatives. Office staff and managers are efficient and always willing to help. The facilities, meals, entertainments are high quality. I feel my aunt is safe and comfortable
with plenty of opportunities for interaction.
The one tiny improvement I could suggest would be to provide occasional weekend activities.

From initial contact involving assessment process there has always been a sense of professionalism, empathy and understanding of my mothers needs, in my estimation a good sign of how well the home is maintained can be evidenced by the minimal turnover of staff and genuine happy atmosphere which comes
form the staff during my visits.

My mum had 2 stays in SilverTrees, firstly in December as a resident on the general care floor and secondly in January 25 for palliative/end of life care.
At all times, the standard of care Mum received was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help Mum. The
deputy manager was absolutely exceptional and is a credit to her profession. Mum loved being there throughout her brief stay. She loved her room, the food and she really enjoyed the activities.
Mum's end-of-life care was first class. She was well cared for, kept warm and comfortable. We were treated with dignity and kindness at all times.
Reply from Chris Rees, Area Manager at Silver TreesThank you for sharing your heartfelt experience.
