My mother has been a resident for a year. The staff care for and look after her like she is a member of their own family. They are kind and very helpful. The nurses and managers are always there to answer any questions you have. I feel at peace when I leave after a visit.
My immobile wife with 24 years of MS was admitted to the Silver Trees nursing unit on an emergency basis to cover a break in her care. She was very well looked after by a very considerate and attentive staff. In addition, the admin staff were also efficient in establishing her supplies of many medicines (change of trust region from home), getting routine GP visits and arranging ambulance transport to come home.
On the plus side - the reassurance of help at hand at the press of a button; good meals provided.
On the minus side, for me, was a feeling of isolation compared with living in my own home. Among many well-meaning staff, no single carer was dedicated to my personal requirements and wishes, as I would have with a livein carer at home.
I found the staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble. I was here for rehab after being in the hospital, and I was treated with the utmost respect. The management also made sure they get to know the residents and their families. I would also like to say the catering is also very good; its tasty and good choices.
Always professional. One lady has been excellent, over and above her role. Friendly staff, and they seem to know their clients (only what you see). Meals were adapted to the person and always looked balanced and well presented. Think the rooms (bedrooms) could do with a paint and not so clinical.
My 97-year-old mother was a resident of Silver Trees for nearly two years until she passed away in October 2021. During that time, we found the staff caring and considerate. Silver Trees is a very pleasant care home.
The management and staff are always happy to answer and help resolve any concerns we may have.
My mother passed away unexpectedly but my comfort comes in knowing that her last 4 years (spent at Silver Trees) were some of her best. She was freed of struggles and strain - replaced by being provided for, looked after and, most importantly cared for - genuinely cared for. No longer isolated in her own home, she became social, enjoyed joining in activities and fully appreciated all that was done and provided for her.
I have lived at Silver Trees care home since February 2020. I am extremely happy here. The staff are very friendly, caring and kind to me. I can not fault Silver Trees, and I can recommend it to anyone.
Posh delivery is good. I suggested two previous activities a week, 3 pm Mondays and Thursdays. This should catch the evening posh.
Satisfactory - would like more green veg.
Will happily recommend to friends and family. Best care home in our area.
My relative spent the final three months of his long life at Silver Trees and was well cared for. Although we couldn't visit much due to Covid, we could speak on the phone, and the staff were very helpful at all times.
Mum was a resident in Silver Tress for over 3-years, sadly she passed away in October 2020. As a family, we can only say how well Mum was cared for at Silver Tress; we can't speak highly enough of the residential floor staff and leadership. We felt they all had Mum's best interests ay the centre of what they do. We visited daily, never having a reason to question the level of care.
Over a trying time the staff, though over the telephone, were so nice and sympathetic. It made me feel as though they were with me.
The ambience of the home is first-rate.
I always felt welcome and included in her care, and frankly enjoyed my visits. All the staff were very respectful but friendly and seemed to enjoy their work.
My mother was a resident in Silver Trees for around 8 months before her recent death. We were always very happy with how mum was cared for. She was always treated with great care and dignity. All the staff were first class and we were warmly welcomed at all times.
My dad has been in Silver Trees for 1 year and although he says it's not like being in his own home, he is happy and cared for very well. They try their best to make it as homely as possible. He enjoys the food and staff are very friendly. On his birthday, they provided us with a lounge room for family to visit him, which was brilliant. They also arrange trips out where we can meet them at a location and push him around in a wheelchair, which he really enjoys. He struggles to get into a car so this makes it very easy.
At least he does mix with the other residents at mealtimes. The staff are very supportive.
My husband seems very happy at Silver Trees, he has vascular dementia. He always looks clean, enjoys the food which is very good and has even put on some weight. The staff are wonderful to him and me. This has been a good move and I wish we had done it sooner.
