At The Manor House, person-centred, non-discriminatory care is provided for all clients, and the dignity of individuals is respected at all times.
The philosophy of the home includes ensuring that the residents feel 'at home' in a safe environment. The home endeavors to exceed the national minimum standards of care as described by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The aim of the home is for residents to keep their own identity and individuality.
The Manor House has a warm and friendly atmosphere with all the comforts one would expect from a nursing home that includes twenty-four-hour nursing care from professionally qualified nurses and carers.
A visiting Chiropodist will attend to your podiatry requirements. A Hairdresser visits the home once a fortnight.
The activity coordinator organises and offers various activities to stimulate the residents mentally and physically, including outside entertainment, small trips etc.
The activity coordinator also organises celebrations during the year which include Christmas, Easter, bonfire night, fairs, etc.
They encourage visits by clergymen of all denominations to visit the nursing home to provide for the spiritual needs of the residents. There is a monthly service within the home. Alternatively, you may wish to attend your own church with family or friends.

My sister lived in The Manor for nearly three years. Everyone who works there is very pleasant, from the time they open the door to visitors. The clients and visitors are well looked after with many cups of tea and biscuits. Everyone always looked so comfy in their chairs and entertainment was well received on occasions. This home is very clean without any smells - unlike some I have visited. All members of my family that visited The Manor were very impressed with the kindness and attention given to the clients. It's a real home from home.

My mother is very well looked after by the nurses all of my family couldn't be happier with how well she is treated. The manager takes much pride in the running of the home. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here to be looked after.

The whole team at The Manor have great compassion and empathy. The senior management were always available if needed and would offer extra support where needed. This support was also offered to us as a family as well as to my mother during her time there.

My mother recently had two stays at The Manor House. The home is a lovely old house with a lovely homely feel to it, located at the very base of Uphill hill, one of my mother’s favourite places. The staff were all very friendly but very professional as well. My family were always made extremely welcome whatever time we visited. Sadly Mum passed away while she was there but the care she received with her passing was second to none. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anyone looking to find a safe and happy place for their relatives.

With over 15 years of experience in health and social care, I’ve learned that outstanding care begins with listening, empathy, and a commitment to treating every individual with dignity and respect. I take pride in leading teams that are not only skilled and professional but also kind-hearted and dedicated to making a difference.
