Overall Experience

Mum has been cared for at the Manor House nursing home for the past three years. She is now almost 104 and we find her care to be excellent. The staff are all very kind, gentle and caring towards her. The manager is very hard working and does all she can to keep improving everything. Overall we feel we could not find anything better. Mum enjoys and joins in all aspects of entertainments.

We have been treated with kindness under difficult circumstances and Dad has been cared for since September with a lot of support when needed.

Staff have a lot of patience with residents and remain cheerful throughout.

My mother has recently moved to The Manor House after a long stay in hospital. Since her arrival, she has been treated with kindness, dignity and professionalism. She has been given the encouragement and support she needs to enable her to enjoy her time in this peaceful home where activities and entertainment are provided with enthusiasm. Thank you.

Summer Breeze
Summer BreezeJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2022

Summer is a dedicated and compassionate Care home manager with over a decade of experience in the healthcare sector. Her career journey has been driven by a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and fostering a supportive and enriching environment for the staff.

Personal statement:

As a care home manager, my deepest motivation is to create a place that feels like home—for those who live here and those who work here. I believe a care home should be more than just a safe and well-run environment; it should be a community built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection.

With over 15 years of experience in health and social care, I’ve learned that outstanding care begins with listening, empathy, and a commitment to treating every individual with dignity and respect. I take pride in leading teams that are not only skilled and professional but also kind-hearted and dedicated to making a difference.

I work hard to foster a culture where staff feel valued and supported, and where residents feel truly seen and heard. Whether it’s through personalised care plans, meaningful activities, or simply a warm smile, my goal is to ensure every person feels they belong.

I’m passionate about continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards, but I never lose sight of the human side of care. I want every resident to feel at peace, every family to feel reassured, and every team member to feel proud of the work they do.

Together, we can build a home where life is celebrated, care is heartfelt, and everyone matters.
