After searching for a couple of years to find 'respite care' with all the care needs my mum requires, I feel lucky that Amberley House had availability when it was needed. From our first calls and visits, then at every interaction from day one, all the team couldn't have been more helpful and caring. All the staff clearly enjoy their roles, making sure the residents are looked after and enjoy a positive daily routine.

We cannot thank the staff enough for the care they gave and shown towards our mother while she was in their care. Unfortunately, mum was terminally ill and has recently passed away. The compassion the home showed towards us as a family we cannot thank them enough for that.

After ten days in hospital, mum was discharged to Amberley House for end of life care. Mum was only there for 8 days before she passed away. During what was an horrendous time for our family, it was such a relief to see mum so well cared for. Amberley house was clean, friendly and the staff were wonderful. Each one showed my mum and us care and dignity. It was a great comfort to know that she'd been well looked after for this short and last part of her life. A big thank you to all who work so hard to look after our loved ones.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and heartfelt feedback about your mum's time with us at Amberley House. We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with her care during such a difficult and emotional period for your family. Our team takes great pride in providing...
My mum moved into Amberley House on 15th May 2025. Since moving here, mum has settled well. I am very impressed with the way the service is run. The care and support Mum has is first class. The home is spotless. There is a menu up on the wall, so I can see what she is having on that day. Staff are very accommodating and welcoming. They have many activities, which mum likes, especially shopping. I couldn't wish for anything more for her, and I am truly happy in the service she has.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm really pleased to hear how well your mum has settled since moving to Amberley House. It means a lot to the whole team to know that you're happy with the care, support and warmth she receives, and that she enjoys the activities - especially the shopping...
The palliative/end-of-life care was excellent, with appropriate medication. The freedom of visiting enabled friends and family to spend valuable time with him. His only criticisms were "thin toilet paper" and sometimes being missed by the tea/coffee trolley. There was great care and dignity when he died.

My father was brought to Amberley House for end-of-life care. Although he was frail, he was very comfortable and recognised the excellent care he received from all the staff. Whenever I visited, I was always able to discuss dad's condition with any member of staff who all gave me whatever time I needed. Many thanks for making Dad's last days peaceful and dignified.

My Aunt resided in Amberley House for well over 5 years during which time she received exemplary care and support from a very well-trained attentive and supportive staff team. She was really happy staying there and I can't recommend this care home enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your aunt was very much part of the home and a great character, we all miss her dearly.
My mother was placed at Amberley House Nursing Home during the last 10 days of her life. She was given excellent hourly care. All the staff I met were warm and showed great empathy for my mother and visiting family. They were able to accommodate my mum's specific needs, from tender personal care to giving her food she could manage and looked forward to in her final days. We were able to visit anytime and were always greeted with kindness. The manager was very kind at the end as were all her staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was an honor to be able to care for your mother in her final days. We always try to give everyone we care for the dignity and respect they deserve, and it's always so rewarding to hear that we have been able to do that.
My grandmother was a resident between July 2024 and October 2024 where she received palliative care. We as a family were very satisfied with her care. The staff were polite and friendly and developed a good relationship with Gran and the family. Gran was always well presented and the staff helped to maintain her dignity and keep her comfortable. The staff communicated well with us. The room was a little small but the home is currently having an extension built. We couldn't have wished for a better place. It was a big worry for us when our Gran needed to move to a care home but it turned out that we didn't need to worry at all. Thank you to everyone at Amberley House for making a difficult time a little easier. We will be forever grateful.
Thank you for your kind words. I am delighted that we were able to care for your grandmother in her final stages of life. We prioritise ensuring that all our residents are treated with dignity, respect and kindness. Supporting family is also a part of this and it is always rewarding to hear that we succeed in achieving this.
My mum arrived at Amberley House Nursing home for end-of-life care. From the moment she arrived, she was calling it home. She bonded immediately with all the Staff who all treated her with dignity, compassion and respect and appreciated Mum's cheeky sense of humour. Mum was encouraged to join in with the activities, she was nervous at first, but with encouragement from staff, she was soon touching a snake, holding a tarantula, winning bingo, baking and wine tasting all of which she thoroughly enjoyed! Staff always kept family informed on Mum's progress, with regular health updates, they respected her dietary requirements and supported her to get back on her feet, support was offered whenever needed. Towards the end of Mum's life staff were always available to offer support to family whenever required, day or night, and ensured we had all the information that was needed. I really can't thank all of the Team enough for all the happy times Mum and visiting family had at Amberley House.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We miss her smile and cheeky sense of humour, she could always be relied on to join in with all the activities with enthusiasm.
The lady who resided there was well looked after.
With all her disabilities, the care given was outstanding.
I would not hesitate to recommend this home to other service users.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will pass them on to the staff who always work hard to provide great care.
Have always been very satisfied with the care my father-in-law received during his near to a year and a half stay at Amberley House. Staff were always very friendly and approachable. There was a homely atmosphere and my father-in-law enjoyed his stay there. I would not hesitate to recommend Amberley House.
Thank you for your kind words. Your father-in-law is greatly missed by both staff and our other residents, he was always such big part of the home. We were thrilled that he was able to return to his own home.
The resident has always been so well looked after here at Amberley. Staff have been kind to her and to her various visitors and have always made us feel welcome. Whenever she had a problem there was someone to help, immediately. At all stages of her stay she has been cared for appropriately, professionally and lovingly. I couldn't praise the team highly enough, they all work together so well. I highly recommend this care home.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will pass them on to the staff. The resident to whom you are referring is missed by us all.
Thank you to all at Amberley House.
Thank you for your kind words. Your grandfather was a pleasure to look after, we all miss him.
Mum went into Amberley House for end-of-life care and it was the very best we could have hoped for. The medical team were all amazing and they nursed her and cared for her and made her feel very comfortable - right to the end of her life. We knew she was in a lovely place - thank you to all the staff at Amberley House.
Our team at Amberley House is dedicated to providing comfort and compassion, and it was our pleasure to have been able to care for your mum during such a difficult time. Kind regards.
The staff was so supportive throughout with my mother. Always helpful and good to talk to, any questions that we had were always answered or someone would find out for us. My mum was always made to feel special whilst there.
Thank you for your kind words. Your mother was a great pleasure to look after.
All the staff are friendly, caring and wonderful. They looked after Dad as if he were their own and they couldn’t do enough. Once getting to know what he liked, they made sure he didn’t miss out on anything. Food is delicious and fresh and you get to choose from a daily list for each meal. They also tweaked and adapted a few things for Dad around his diabetes and personal likes. There are activities and guests that visit too as well as the social lounge so you don’t need to be segregated in your room.
Management wise it is a very professional, friendly and superbly run home. Any questions or help were dealt with and I was never made to feel like we weren’t important. Dad was very happy there and he wouldn’t hesitate to return if need be.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your father was a pleasure to look after and he would be welcome back here any time.
