I arrived at Cowbridge today to visit my Mother and was once again so impressed with the care and love the staff have for my Mum. She has been a resident for five years and quite a few of the staff were there when she first arrived. They take time with us as a family and understand all Mums needs. The staff are such a happy unit led by an exceptional manager who understands the needs of people with Dementia. Cowbridge you have created a lovely environment with some really special touches.

Our experience started off well. When it was declassified to a residential home it went downhill fast. New staff, some you had a job to get them to understand us, goodness knows how the residents coped. You had to go looking for staff in a lot of cases, not all. In my mother's last few days she was not turned, mouth care given regularly, let alone freshened up. The morning after my mother's passing I was collecting her things in a room that had already been stripped and worked on while I was there. Sensitive to my feeling, I don't think so! I could go on but feel you can understand my/our views.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. I understand from the manager that sadly he did not have the opportunity to meet you. We take all concerns very seriously and I would like to assure you that we have looked in detail at the concerns that you have raised and have formerly provided...

Following a search for a suitable local care home, I arranged for my ill relative to move to the Cowbridge Care Home.

My confidence in this care home was immediately raised on the arrival of the manager at her home to assess her suitability. He impressed me very much in every way possible, particularly in how he spoke to and showed concern for her. That confidence continued by his management of the home and staff, who also showed the same level of professional competence and care.

In fact, my darling Mother-in-law, as I believed and maintained, deserved the best level of care possible and that she got right up to and even after her sad death last week. I sincerely believe she had what I wanted, considerate professional care of the highest level possible so I applaud every member of the team there for there doing so.

Thank you to the manager, and please pass on my thanks to every member of staff who so well looked after her in her short but contented stay with you. I could not ask for more.

My wife and I are very old friends of a resident in Cowbridge Nursing Home - in fact, we were involved in getting her in there over three years ago. We have been impressed with the way in which our friend has been cared for and we would happily recommend Cowbridge to anyone needing a caring environment with excellent competent staff.

I am delighted with the care given to my mother during the 18 months she has lived at Cobridge. The staff, without exception, have provided a loving and safe environment for mum. I would like to thank particular members of staff. A big thank you to all.

Cowbridge Nursing Home has made significant changes since February of this year. In particular, since the recruitment of a new manager in May 2017 the nursing home has gone from strength to strength with many areas significantly improving for the better. Cowbridge has loyal and very caring staff who all work as a close knit family team.
