I found all of the staff, particularly the receptionist and carers, very professional and dedicated. My mother feels safe and cared for. Well done, team.

The staff and management were so very helpful and couldn't do enough. Nothing was too much trouble, and all staff and management (even the cleaners) made a point of speaking to the residents when they passed. My mother is very comfortable and happy with staying there. Five stars for the St Martin's team. Thank you.

I visit my friend once a week, and although saddened by her gradual fading away, I have been comforted by the kindness and concern with which she is being looked after. The staff are unfailingly kind, and the rooms are pleasant and were obliging about installing a bird feeder outside her window, so she could watch the birds.

I have been saddened by the presence of one resident whose calls for attention involve a great deal of unsettling shouting and wriggling out of his chair onto the floor. I wonder if some kind of seat belt might not be arranged to prevent him from slipping out?

My mother was released to St Martin's from the hospital for full-time nursing care. She is 100 years old in April 2023 and had several falls at home, is particularly blind, very little mobility and can't hear (every with hearing aids). The team at St Martin's have been excellent and made her feel safe and secure and so very kind from reception right down to carers, cleaners and kitchen. Food is excellent. I cannot praise them all enough, it is a real sanctuary.

Mum was a resident for about 2 years. The rooms are homely and personalised. The day rooms are bright and spacious and decorated to a high standard. The walls are adorned with themed artefacts and photos of residents. Having spent many hours at the home, I witnessed all the nurses, carers and domestic staff treating all residents with genuine affection and respect at all times.
Mum enjoyed the entertainment especially the lively singing and dancing. It was so lovely to watch the residents come alive and have a great time.
Myself and my sisters were provided with endless refreshments and comfort from an amazing team of people who do an amazing job.
I have so much respect for those that are not paid a huge wage for doing such an important job.
My family are so very grateful for the excellent care that mum received and the genuine love and affection she was given. We can't thank you enough.

Particular thanks to the 4 staff members that attended her funeral. That meant so much to us.

The staff are friendly, caring people. My wife is very well looked after and kept clean and comfortable at all times. The food is very good and my wife has a good appetite. Her room is small but pleasant and looks out on a small garden. The staff check her at regular intervals and she responds well to them.

My father had a temporary bed only for two weeks plus. He does not have dementia but mobility issues. Staff all round in person and by telephone were tremendously friendly and proactive. It was not really ideal for my father and he moved on to another home.

However top praise for the permanent residents care shown and entertainment, stimulation and compassion.

St Martin's House is the best care home that I know of. The last three years, they have looked after my wife. My wife passed away on the 10th February 2018 and I cannot thank them enough, from top to bottom. They are great. God bless them.
