My mother settled very quickly into Sundial, supported very well by the friendly, helpful staff. She is so much happier than when she was living at home with carers popping in. We were so pleased and relieved to hear her reply when we asked what she thought of her life at Sundial. "I'm really happy here, I couldn't wish for a better place to be. It's lovely!"

It's good to know mum is content and happy. Knowing that she's safe, warm and cared for 24 hours a day frees me up to live my life now without constriction.

I am extremely happy with the care my mother receives at Sundial Nursing Home. The whole process of trying to find a suitable care home for some much-needed respite was traumatic, to say the least, but the moment we walked into Sundial, we knew our search was over. The home is beautifully decorated, thoughtfully laid out and the staff are so caring and friendly. We have total peace of mind when mum stays at Sundial.

Overall Experience

Angela Court has a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, quite different from the usual image of a nursing home but in fact, is extremely well run with the resident's wishes and requirements being efficiently attended to at all times. The public rooms and bedrooms are pleasant with views over a splendid garden and otter valley beyond.

The food is nutritious (my wife has gained several pounds in weight in her first month as a resident) and tea and coffee making facilities are available in the resident's lounge. Visitors are welcomed throughout the day and are always offered refreshments. A hairdresser is in attendance one day in each week.

In short, Angela Court provides as good a substitute for home as a nursing home can but with the advantage of professional care staff always on hand.

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Staff are always welcoming and competent in their work. The home is still in the process of being renovated with the work completed done to a good standard. Beautiful grounds and scenery, the grounds are well maintained in which residents enjoy. The food is produced fresh in their kitchens and the home, well catered with additional areas for tea and coffee in the day rooms. The only problem I have had is sometimes getting to speak via telephone having to use the staff mobiles. My only concern is the apparent high turnover of staff, which could affect the continuity of the high standards they offer.

I have found the carers very friendly and particularly kind to my husband.

The admin staff are also very caring and aware of my needs as well as my husbands. The home is well laid out in a friendly manner. I am delighted at how well my husband has settled in and this is down to the way his needs have been met and how he has been cared for.
