My Dad has been a resident of Sefton Hall since January 2024 and is still in their wonderful care today.
I cannot fault any aspect of their care at all.
My Dad was very challenging when he 1st came to Sefton Hall but all the staff made us feel extremely comfortable and at ease that he would be cared for with compassion and dignity.

I really cannot speak highly enough about Sefton Halls care , staff and all round focus on the residents wellbeing.

From the moment I entered home, had a very warm welcome. Such a comfortable homely atmosphere. Residents are treated with dignity. Staff very cheerful and helpful too. Residents were enjoying musical entertainment. All looked happy and contented. My loved one was well groomed and very comfortable in his chair. An amazing home with excellent care from everyone. Thank you.

My husband Ken went into Sefton Hall in January 2024 he was quite challenging but the staff were brilliant and he settled in well, as his dementia has progressed and he can no longer communicate all the staff have been wonderful in helping him and me and family through this very difficult time. I have so much admiration for everybody who works there in what is not an easy job, always with a cheerful smile and how are you.

My mother Pam who passed in February 2026 resided at Sefton Hall for over 4 years, it was the perfect place for her, the kindness, support and care were second to none with an outstanding team who cared about what they did with a passion and as her son who visited regularly also made to feel very welcome and part of the Sefton family.

I would highly recommend Sefton to anybody looking for an amazing home for a loved one.

Overall Experience
My experience of Sefton Hall has always been positive . Staff are warm ,friendly, kind and importantly very respectful of their residents . My friend has been a resident there for over 3 years and there has never been any cause for complaint . She is well cared for especially as she is bed bound . She is given exceptional personal care and clearly has a warm and open relationship with all the care staff that I have met . Despite choosing to stay in her room she is always included in the social aspects of the home especially enjoying the visits from the folk that bring animals to see the residents .

It is a pleasure to visit Sefton Hall and feel welcomed by the staff and know my friend is in safe hands especially as she has no family to support her .

For the two and a half years my Dad was at Sefton, he was always well cared for. He always looked clean and well groomed. The staff were always amazing with him even when he was being difficult. The place always smelt clean and looked clean. As a visitor they always made me feel welcome and always made sure I was okay and asked if I needed anything. When it came to my dad's last days they ensured he was comfortable and clean. We were able to sit with him in his last moments. The staff were all very respectful and made sure we were okay. I would recommend sefton to anyone who needs to find a caring and safe place for a relative or loved one. Always something for them to do with entertainment and trips out etc.... Thank you to everyone at Sefton for looking after my Dad so well.

The staff were all welcoming and warm. The service levels from ALL the staff was above and beyond what could be expected. The room my father was in was warm, comfortable and well serviced. We requested a swap of bed mattress on arrival to suit my father's needs and this was done within minutes. The staff couldn't do enough for all of us.

My husband spent the last three months of his life at Sefton Hall after a long battle with dementia. I always felt confident about leaving him in their care. I witnessed patience, kindness and professionalism from the staff when they dealt with his difficult behaviour. He was treated with dignity and as an individual. There was also a culture of caring for relatives, which I appreciated when visiting. I feel we were lucky that Sefton Hall were willing and able to accommodate my husband.

Mum has been in several care homes over the past 4 years since her stroke, some good and one not so good. But I have been so impressed with Sefton Hall since her arrival in Oct 2024. The best home by far that she and I have experienced.

My family and I are so grateful for the outstanding care that Sefton Hall staff provided for our dad during his short stay there. Sefton's 'Outstanding' CQC award and other awards are truly deserved. From the manager, admin staff, nurses, and care assistants to the cleaner, every single person provided exceptional care and support for Dad and for our family.

From the moment Dad arrived at Sefton Hall, he was provided with the utmost respect, friendliness, care and compassion. He received an excellent standard of care from all staff. The staff, without exception, allowed Dad to be himself, to make his own choices and to maintain the highest level of dignity. As visitors, my sister and I were cared for and supported sensitively, particularly during the last few days of Dad's dementia journey and when he passed away. We could not have wished for more. Our only regret is that Dad didn't come to Sefton Hall earlier. Heartfelt thanks to all involved.

Over the past three years, Mum lived the best life she could here thanks to the excellent care and staff. As her Alzheimer's progressed and she became more frail, the staff always adapted to her needs. Mum clearly enjoyed the many activities, including music, animal encounters, crafts and trips out to the beach. The staff work so hard to create a homely and friendly environment for residents. It was also a comfort to know nurses were on site if needed. I wish all residential care homes could be like this.

Sefton Hall is a very special place with very special staff.
My husband was a resident from Sept-Dec 2023 when he sadly passed away.
As a family, we feel very privileged that he was offered a place at Sefton to live out his final days.
The management and leadership at Sefton is outstanding.
The staff are so dedicated and hardworking, while continually going above and beyond and clearly love their jobs.
The nursing team are so dedicated and hardworking and deliver such high-quality care.
Everyone who cared for my husband was lovely, offering endless compassion, empathy, kindness and cheerfulness.
Sefton doesn't just offer top-quality care to the residents, but this is extended to the families. They were there for us as a family every step of the way and through some dark days.
We are eternally grateful to the whole Sefton team for everything they did for my husband.

Thank you, Sefton.

Our very dear relative was admitted to Sefton Hall at very short notice following a rapid decline at home. We cannot praise the staff enough for their technical nursing skills, delivered with care, kindness and compassion. I would recommend Sefton Hall to anyone who is looking for first-class care for someone they love. Our relative had complex health needs and none of this phased Sefton's highly skilled staff.

Following my wife's admission to Sefton Hall, the management and staff have been extremely supportive of us both in what has proven to be a very emotional time. It has been comforting to witness the compassion and understanding shown of my wife's complex condition and that the care provided is very much driven by her personal needs and wishes. Communication and consultations concerning her care have been impressive and reassuring. The staff are always welcoming and flexible and are clearly committed to person-centred care. I am indebted and grateful to them and thankful that my wife is residing in such a positive and relaxed environment.

We agree that not all of our rooms warrant a 5-star review and have a rolling plan of updating, refurnishing and re-decoration; unfortunately, having an old building comes with some constraints.

My husband was admitted to Sefton Hall Care Home in May 2022, in the later stages of dementia, and was there until his death in January 2023. I felt throughout that period he had the best care, the staff are very kind, caring, sensitive and willing to give as much time as is needed in any situation. They have a keen sense of fun which is infectious and lightens the spirit of all the residents. Running through all this is a keen sense of professionalism. The atmosphere of the home is happy and calm and I was impressed by the amount of space allocated to dementia patients and the number of activities and sessions of entertainment is extraordinary. I always felt he was in the best place he could be.

The care that Sefton Hall has provided my dad has been brilliant. The staff care very much for my dad and are attentive to his needs, even when he can be quite testing and demanding. The staff also accommodate us, family members, very well and keeps us in the loop of changes. They’ve looked after his physical needs and called doctors and specialists when his condition changed.

They make an effort to get my dad out and engage with the community. They organise good outdoor activities to entertain the residents. While “recommending” a home feels odd, I genuinely am happy this is where my dad ended up and is the best I could have hoped for.
