I have found the staff wonderfully supportive and helpful. They looked after Mum with respect and kindness.
We will forever be in your debt.
The room was warm and comfortable with lovely pictures on the wall. It was always clean and tidy.
We were very fortunate to have Mum placed with them.
We
could always ask any questions and were always treated well.
It was a home from home for Mum and she was always comfortable and well looked after.

The care and attention given to my sister in her time at Butterfly Lodge Nursing Home was second to none. By far the best home any of my relatives were in. The care given and the welcome to guests was always carried out with a friendly attitude and smile.

Mum has been at Butterfly Lodge since the summer. All the staff are so caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The family are able to visit at anytime and are made to feel very welcome, especially Dad who visits daily. We are kept up to date with Mum's changing needs and progress. There are many activities
which Mum is able to join in. The rooms are clean and bright and the food is amazing. When considering homes, we wanted to ensure Mum would obviously be safe but more importantly treated with care and compassion. We are confident we made the right choice.

My father on two separate occasions boarded at Butterfly Lodge. The first visit was for three months, he was happy, he loved the trips and care team. On many occasions I would pop in and there would always be a member of staff having a chat with him in his room. He liked to stay in his room. On the
second occasion a year later Dad was end of life, he stayed for ten days, the care he received was amazing. We moved into Dad's room until he passed, we can't thank Butterfly Lodge enough for everything they did for Dad and us as a family.

Butterfly Lodge delivers exemplary care to clients. The managers, nurses, and care staff are absolutely wonderful. They are caring, compassionate, enabling and so kind. They treat my client as an individual and not part of a system. My client has improved beyond all recognition. I am so grateful for

My mother resides at this care home. She's been with Butterfly Lodge for a long while now. She wasn't sure of her surroundings and the people at first and kept asking to go home. A good few months had passed and she settled down quite well. Getting used to the staff and slowly making close friends.
She quite liked the activities co ordinator and has built a very good rapport with him. She loves musical activities and showcases her talent with much enjoyment despite her limiting condition. Music makers always seems to be a favourite activity for my mum and obviously was very popular with other residents. She enjoys going outside in the garden. The staff are very caring and fully understand everyone's illnesses and conditions with the best compassionate care. Management are very informative and do contact you with regular updates about your relatives with social media interaction and participation which is brilliant I must say with regular weekly photographs.

I have always found the staff to be caring, considerate and kind to the residents. The residents have a variety of entertainment to enable social interaction and appear happy and content, which is so important.
I am always made to feel welcome by staff who understand how difficult it can be for family

Everyone up here is lovely. Grandad has been here for 3 months and is well cared for by all nurses. They have music on in evening to keep guests entertained. They have a pretend bar in the canteen so the old dears can pull a pint.

Highly recommend Butterfly Lodge. They made Mum's time there happy and stimulating. She loved the frequent trips out and busy activities in the home. Her first words were always "I love it here" and the staff were friendly and helpful and kind.

My mother is a resident here and the staff are fantastic with her. She suffers from dementia and has some difficult days which they deal with, with compassion and professionalism. Mum is happy and enjoys her trips out and the many activities later on. Definitely five star, thank you.

My mum had experience of a few homes, but never settled. After speaking to Butterfly Lodge about Mum's complex needs, they were very accommodating and agreed to Mum staying with them. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. I am kept informed on mum's health when needed and also when calling
them, they are happy to tell me how she's doing. In past homes, I have had to inform them when I would be visiting, but at Butterfly Lodge they are happy for visitors to turn up unannounced, this I find reassuring. They encourage residents to join in with activities and also take those abled out in the community. This is funded by the home, which shows they do care about those staying with them.

An absolutely incredible home. The care my nan receives is outstanding and I couldn't ask for anymore. The staff also provide support to all my family and go above and beyond to give any help they can. I can't thank the staff enough, for everything they do. It makes leaving my nan that little bit easier,

My dear mum received wonderful care at Butterfly Lodge for over a year. The staff are incredibly caring and respectful of residents and they work in the most challenging conditions. I too, was treated well and with compassion, especially as Mum was receiving end-of-life care. The staff were there for
me too at the end and I knew they would take care of her. It may not be a glamorous environment, but the care is first-rate, which after all is the main thing anyone needs. Heart felt thanks to all staff.

Since my dad has been here after his stroke, he has definitely shown such progress with his speech and interaction. The staff go above and beyond. We always feel so welcome when we visit. So happy that we have the support of such an amazing home.

This is truly, a lovely place. The staff can't do enough and deserve so much credit for all they do for all the residents. Not only do they care for my nan, but they take the time to speak to us, the family, when we visit and just can't do enough. It's a home-from-home for my nan.

Mum has been at Butterfly Lodge for almost 12 months. She is a very active lady and likes to have freedom to move around. This provides an element of independence for her, in a very safe and caring environment. She is supported by all the team at every level, who are very attentive and responsive. There
is always a desire to provide activities and events for the residents, to improve their experience and keep them both physically and mentally at the best they can be. The ethos for the Butterfly Lodge team is that Mum is an individual, with specific needs and personal preferences. These are always taken into account and every member of the team are respectful and create an environment that enables the family to be confident that she is very well cared for and is safe. Any changes in her, are acted on and monitored and any necessary action taken. In summary, they provide excellent care for Mum, peace of mind for the family and a team ethic, which is respectful and positive.

My mum has only been at the home for a couple of months and I am so pleased with the improvements I have seen in her already. Having been so worried about the effect of moving her from another care home, I now wish I had done it sooner. All the staff have been so welcome and friendly since Mum arrived.
I feel that my mum is well cared for and looked after and that I am kept up to date with any issues regarding her health. She has been on trips and has taken part in activities, which means so much. I am so grateful to everyone at Butterfly Lodge.

Since my mother has been at Butterfly Lodge, she has responded so positively to the excellent specialised care that she is receiving. I live in Australia and recently visited my mother at the care home regularly over a two-week period. I cannot speak more highly of the management and staff. They have
been so helpful, welcoming and understanding. I was able to witness first-hand how well my mother is being cared for. She is being treated with love, dignity, respect and kindness. The staff genuinely care for all the residents, each one with their special care needs. I was always made to feel so welcome on my visits to the care home and when I phone, the staff are always so friendly and helpful about letting me know how my mum is doing. It is wonderful that the home organises day trips and activities for the residents to participate in. I am so grateful to the wonderful management and staff, for looking after my mum and treating her with love and kindness. Thank you so much!

I am a Registered mental health nurse and worked for 30 years in the NHS, I then moved on to be a General manager in nursing/Dementia homes. I am passionate about my job and love to build relationships with residents and their families.


I came to Butterfly Lodge in 2021 and have been enjoying getting to know the residents, staff and relatives. I strive to ensure that the residents have an amazing quality of life with the best care and support from our staff and enriching activities to participate in. As a team, we aim to provide a fun environment where everyone feels valued and safe in an inclusive home.

We have scored 5 stars in our food hygiene inspection and in 2024 the whole kitchen team were proud to win the culinary team of the year at the celebrating excellence awards
