Our darling Mum passed away in June 2026 whilst in the loving care of Butterfly Lodge, her passing was made so much easier to bear by the love and support of everyone there, everyone and I mean everyone, the support and care shown by the amazing staff made this difficult journey with Alzheimer's bearable and you helped us so so much. We can never repay that support. I can't tell you how much that means to us all as a family. Butterfly have an incredible team that nurtured us all. It felt like you picked us up and carried us in your arms. We as a family thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will miss our Beautiful Mum forever but she is now at peace. Butterfly saved us from the worry and guilt that comes with a loved one with dementia and will be forever grateful for the love and care shown to our Mum

After looking after my wife who was suffering with Alzheimer's and mixed dementia for a number of years, then due to an infection for which she ended up in hospital it was decided that the only further course of care was to place her into a home. A decision that was not taken lightly. I visited a number of care homes in Plymouth with varying degrees of acceptability. I finally settled on the Butterfly Lodge which is a specialist Dementia nursing home. All I can say is that this is one of the best decisions I have ever made. From initially meeting the nursing home manager Clair who visited my wife at our home, to her first day as a resident and her final day on her passing, EVERYONE in that home showed her care, compassion and understanding even in difficult times. They looked after her every need and she participated when possible with far more activities than I could ever do at home. I absolutely recommend this home to anyone who is in the same position.

Butterfly lodge has been amazing for my mother. She has been so well supported and cared for. They have always found that extra little bit of time for her when she has needed it, and are always more than happy to go the extra mile. The staff always greet with a smile and are always very welcoming.

The staff at this carehome are excellent. They are really caring with the residents and very friendly with relatives that are visiting. It is also spotless. They have a great activity team to keep the residents active and happy. Overall very happy with everything.
