Nazareth House is a great care home, in a stunning location too. Until she passed away in 2016, Mum was so well cared for here, and now that Dad needs looking after too, the choice as to where was obvious, and so much easier than these things often are. As well as the location, the home is also great,
modern, and with appropriate facilities. The staff are lovely too. Care is very well managed and of a very good standard. Always very friendly and willing to help. Like all care homes, the Covid pandemic and the shortage of care staff have been challenging, but feel very confident that these are dealt with as well as they can be. Of great benefit, is always a view to enjoy from inside or from out, and there is often activity to sit and enjoy. Short walks immediately adjoining the home are a great enjoyment too. Very confident that we couldn't have found better.

Overseen by a friendly, dynamic manager, with a 'can do' attitude, Nazareth house, alongside its idyllic seafront location offers a unique experience which literally transforms the 'care home experience' to a new and different level. All staff whether carers, cooks or domestic, are friendly and hard-working.
Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to dietary preferences or restrictions.

Mum was only a resident briefly at Nazareth House - Plymouth but I know that she was really happy and settled there. I wish she could have been a resident for much longer. She arrived in the middle of all the Covid-19 lockdowns but was given the biggest welcome by all the staff. I regret not having
been able to meet all the staff involved in her care in person because of the restrictions but know that they made a huge effort to compensate for the isolation the residents were experiencing from friends and families, at Christmas and Easter in particular. I would give Nazareth House - Plymouth ten out of ten for the care they gave, there will always be some things that are not quite right but that is part and parcel of life and they were minor. It is rare to find professionalism combined with compassion but that is part of the ethos at Nazareth House - Plymouth in my view.

Nazareth House has a very calm atmosphere, created by the beautiful location and the lovely bright, clean rooms and communal areas. My father was there through the COVID restrictions and the staff were amazing. They made him feel part of a family and not isolated, their reassurance and patience made
the experience a happy one. Everybody effort was made to accommodate his needs and it was evident that all staff at the home cared about his comfort and happiness.

My aunt has been a resident here since 2017, we decided on Nazareth House because the on-suite rooms are very spacious light and airy, and the views out over the sea from the day rooms are second to none.
Since the new manager has taken over this year 2021, we are kept more involved with my aunts care
and welfare and find her to have a very thoughtful approach to residents and their relatives. We live many miles away and are reliant on the staff keeping us informed of everyday issues.
The new manager is very easy to speak with and has taken the time to talk to us on several occasions in her short time in the office.

My father has been a resident here for the last four months and the family could not be more pleased. The staff are all professional, caring and supportive and the facilities are excellent. In our experience, the Sisters of Nazareth take care to ensure the residential home remains true to their core

Clare joined Nazareth Care in Nov 2011 as a Registered Nurse for Nazareth House, Plymouth.
Clare became Deputy Manager February 2018 and then Manager in Feb 21.
Clare qualified as a Registered Nurse in Feb 2002 and spent the first 10 years working for the NHS in Neuro-rehab and then came to Nazareth House, Plymouth to work.
Clare has a degree in Batchelor of Science in Health Studies (Second Class Honours)
