It has been very difficult because, since my mother entered the care home, we have been governed by Covid. Despite this, the staff have pulled out all the stops to make sure relatives have good contact with their loves ones. Communication is excellent. Health and safety of everyone is the top priority.
The resident are treated as individuals, and all the staff care about them as people - not a number.

From the admission with the deputy who reassured me and Mum that she will be cared for, I have been able to look after my own health knowing Mum is 100% safe and well cared for. The deputy has helped me deal with social workers and guilt around placing Mum into care.

My Mum's friend lives at Birds Hill, We love visiting her, she always looks good, the carers know her really well and are very kind to her, We can also take parts of activities with her, we can see she is Happy living at Birds Hill. The food is very good and we can also have meals with her when we are
visiting her, one of the managers he is always kind and ready to listen to us also to let us know about anything new. I definitely recommend Birds Hill as Excellent Nursing Home.

We believe this to be an excellent home. The care and attention given to residents and families is very reassuring. The communication between nursing staff and relatives regarding even minor ailments, change of condition etc is commendable and a great comfort to us.

Mostly mother is being looked after very well. She is clean and happy and enjoys most of the activities provided. Her room is nice and the staff are helpful and pleasant. Her nursing needs are attended to.
However, over the past few weeks, the quality of the food has deteriorated and on several occasions,
has been cold when served to the resident. On another occasion, a spider was found in the food and shown to the sister.
