The high quality of the nursing and care staff set this home apart from others. My mother even benefits from their love (yes love) of her.

A wide range of stimulating activities is provided by another high-quality team in safe and secure environments.

We believe this to be an excellent home. The care and attention given to residents and families is very reassuring. The communication between nursing staff and relatives regarding even minor ailments, change of condition etc is commendable and a great comfort to us.

Mostly mother is being looked after very well. She is clean and happy and enjoys most of the activities provided. Her room is nice and the staff are helpful and pleasant. Her nursing needs are attended to.

However, over the past few weeks, the quality of the food has deteriorated and on several occasions, has been cold when served to the resident. On another occasion, a spider was found in the food and shown to the sister.

My mother was admitted to Bird Hill on 16/2/17 from a care home as they were unable to cope with her aggressive and uncooperative behaviour. Within a few days, the loving, caring, affectionate, skilled care staff at Birds Hill had turned this around and she returned to her old self despite her continued disabilities. I went to see her every morning as I always had so I saw exactly how the staff treated the residents. It was wonderful to see the respect and patience they showed to all.

My mother was only resident at Birds Hill for a matter of 10 days but the end of life care she received was excellent. All the nursing staff cared with just the right balance of professionalism, care and compassion. I highly recommend Birds Hill.

Very soon after mum went into Birds Hill Nursing Home I noticed a positive change in her. Thanks to the dedication and high level of care and commitment from the staff her mood and general well-being changed. The attention she receives together with a recognition fo her particular needs has given the family great peace of mind. There is a lovely family atmosphere at Birds Hill where the staff are all happy and willing to help. I would recommend without hesitation.

We are just so happy with all that Birds Hill does for mum. There is just happiness and joy shown about the home with plenty of activities and one to one care as part of normal life here.
We could never have imagined being able to have mum cared for in such a wonderful home.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff, management and service staff for a 'Home' rather than any form of establishment.

All good, but we would like to see more entertainment for the residents. They react well to the singer who visits. So would love to see more singers that the residents can get involved with.
