The manager and all the staff are lovely, they do so much for all the residents.

Attended a garden party for the Jubilee. Event was well organised and attended well by residents, family members and staff. Staff were attentive to residents and visitors, and a very cheerful event - was enjoyed by everyone. The entertainers were fun and the food was great. I have every confidence in the Paternoster team in general, mum is always well looked after.

Visited a family friend here at the weekend and despite having been through the pandemic the caring ethos of this home is second to none. A beautiful afternoon where nothing was too much trouble, thank you everyone.

A very homely and caring place, the staff were exemplary and the manager was so compassionate. We are very excited to see the upcoming renovations, then maybe the inside will match the beautiful gardens externally.

My friend moved in to paternoster house approximately a year ago, the care is really good and the staff are incredible! The food looked really good, they even gave me some. Would recommend to anyone looking for care in and around Cirencester.

Mum has now been a resident for four years at Paternoster, during which time, she has survived Covid and celebrated both her 100th and 101st birthday. She is very well cared for, any issues I have raised have been resolved promptly and efficiently. The staff, including receptionists, management, nurses and housekeeping are always kind, caring and friendly towards Mum and also myself. Mum frequently says how happy and contented she is at Paternoster, which is a great comfort to know.

Every member of the care team was extremely kind to my husband and me. When his care became 'end of life' I could not have wished for more care, love and consideration than we both received.

My grandfather is very happy and content at Paternoster. The transition from independent living couldn’t have been made any easier both physically and mentally. The personal, individual attention he receives is second to none; his family and friends have also been made to feel like part of the Paternoster family with the excellent communication which is always forthcoming and the friendliness of the staff who are very welcoming and obliging. The home is professionally run by its management team (particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic) and to date, I have seen very little staff turnover meaning residents and their families are able to forge strong relationships. The facilities and rooms are of a high standard; cosy and welcoming. My grandfather is constantly telling me how good the food is; there is always a choice at mealtimes and plenty of tea is available throughout the day! I would 100% recommend Paternoster House; a home from home with a family feel.

I was in the sad position of having my Mum deteriorate and sadly die during this time and was unable to be with her until the very end but the staff were amazing, they kept me updated throughout and at the very end I was allowed to be with her. They met at the door with mask, aprons and gloves and as far as I could see, absolutely every precaution was being taken with gloves and aprons all along the corridors. I was able to stay with her while she passed away, with the staff offering me cups of tea and support throughout and for as long as I wished to stay after she had passed, for which I will be eternally grateful.

The overall service is excellent, especially at a time when recruiting staff is so hard, with everyone committed to the home.

I come to sing with the residents at Paternoster House every two weeks. There is always a happy and relaxed atmosphere among both residents and staff. We sing for an hour and then have tea and cake and a chat. As a visitor, I am always made to feel welcome and it is a very enjoyable experience.

At Christmas all the stops are pulled out and residents get to be part of a big family. For some, this was a first. They also get a stocking which most have never had before. There are lots of entertainment/parties in the build-up to Christmas and the home is decorated very well, with residents helping with trees and making decorations.

My husband was extremely well looked after. He came away feeling he had made new friends as the staff were so lovely. He also commented on how fantastic the meals were.

My husband has settled well, although he doesn't rise much, but that is his choice.

We are all on Christian name terms.

The food was homely and well cooked. I especially enjoyed the lunches. I was made very welcome.

It was a very good experience staying at Paternoster House for respite care. All the staff were so kind and friendly and caring. The meals were good. The room was pleasant, quiet and comfortable.

A warm and welcoming care home. All residents seem happy and all enjoy living here. All members of staff are amazing and never fail to go the extra mile. Overall Paternoster is a brilliant setting and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering here.

Very homely, having been working in care homes as a volunteer, this is by far the best. The age of the building sadly doesn't comply with having ensuite rooms. Otherwise excellent.
