Rodley House

The first thing that strikes me is how homely it feels, all the staff are so helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is calming and welcoming. The staff know the residents and clearly have a deep interest in their welfare and well-being.

Even though my wife didn't want to be here she said the staff and food was excellent. Visiting times are also very good - flexible management and staff very helpful towards myself. Lovely gardens and rest area.

Mum became a resident at Rodley House as she needed 24-hour palliative nursing care. Sadly she passed away within 5 weeks. In such a short space of time, it felt as though the staff had known Mum (and us) for years. She was treated with love, care and dignity throughout an incredibly difficult time, especially given the Covid-19 problems. We can't thank the staff enough for the compassion they showed Mum, my brother and I.

Rodley House has been such a blessing for me and my family. The staff have gone out of their way in taking care of my mum and supporting us through a very difficult time. They go above and beyond their duty and have become our extended family, doing everything they can so mum keeps her dignity and receives the highest standards of care. Mum may forget what you said or did each day but I will never forget how you make her feel. Thank you.

We are very pleased with the care support that our son receives. The staff are always very helpful and supportive. We cannot thank them enough for all they are doing for him. We are happy that he is here at Rodley House especially amongst the community that he has been involved with in the past.

Covid restrictions made visiting very difficult but the staff at Rodley did their best.

I can see the care being provided for my nan is fantastic. The staff are all friendly and attentive. My nan genuinely seems happy since moving in. The home is well maintained, clean and of a high standard. The staff really do seem to put the residents care first.

Throughout these testing times recently, the guys at Rodley House have been so caring towards my nan (when I couldn't see her). I feel like they have gone above and beyond to keep her safe and even supported me in enabling video calls. On these calls, my nan was happy and upbeat.

My relative would not be with us now if it wasn't for the staff of Rodley House, he was in a very bad state when he first went there. He is not looking forward to his own place. My husband and I are extremely grateful.

Dad sadly fell and broke his hip, and so on medical grounds due also to his dementia, went into Rodley House to have the 24-hour care he now required. His time at Rodley House, although it was only months, a very happy and fulfilled for Dad. He was a very social person and loved the company. He enjoyed singing and love the nurses. His care was second to none, as they would notify us of any changes. Dad loved his time there, and as a family, we had peace of mind that Dad was happy and well take care of right to the end. The staff are invaluable, and we thank them for it.

My mother was a resident at Radley House for 2 1/2 years and was always treated with love and kindness. Sadly she died on 9th September in hospital following a stroke and unfortunately we were not able to see her since lockdown, however we were able to Skype Mum. We, her family, were able to visit and stay with her in the hospital so we hope she knew we were there at the end.

My mother was in the care of Rodley House for 8 months, in that time her care was very good.

The care given to my mother in the few months she was in Rodley House was superb. Nobody could have done more for her. All staff knew her and could tell me where she was. There was always someone available to talk to regarding ongoing care and medication. The facility is spotless and the food always looked amazing.

Mum was resident since August. She was very well cared for and had good relationships with the staff who are all very caring. They were also very supportive of me during mum's last week.

My mother moved to Rodley House recently. I have been impressed by the care shown to her and the attention given to detail. They have asked for my help in settling mum and I have felt part of the team. It is good to see mum smile.

Mum has been in Rodley House since August and has settled in happily. She is very well cared for and gets on well with the staff who are all very friendly and welcoming. The home is always very clean and warm.

Homely and welcoming but seemed understaffed.

The whole team at Rodley House made my mum's last couple of weeks so comfortable. The family were made welcome and nothing was too much to ask as she settled in. The care team were always professional and addressed mum in a caring and loving way. She was no longer agitated and we had no qualms leaving her each night.

In a bizarre way, I will miss my visits.

I am very impressed with the efficiency, knowledge and kindness of the care manager and various members of staff who are taking very good care of both my parents at this difficult time, as they approach the end of their lives in comfort, safety and with dignity.
