On entrance, I find the home clean and tidy, staff are polite and will do anything for you. Always to hand when called to assist my mum who is now 86 years of age.

I've always liked Catherine House Care Home because there is a very genuine caring nature of each resident coming from the manager, nursing and care staff. I have seen my dad feeling a lot more relaxed and I am safe in the knowledge that he is not only well cared for but that the staff genuinely like my dad and work to promote his individual needs. I feel that staff have kept me abreast of any changes in Dad's care plan and even his spiritual needs are cared for.

Beautiful Home, with great staff. Always welcoming and kind to me. Much better than it used to be in the home. Christmas has been set up in the courtyard and looks absolutely lovely. Very nice to see the effort on the first floor.

I have been happy with Catherine House for the time that my husband has been there, being disabled by a stroke in 2018. He is comfortable and relaxed in his room and in the sitting room. The staff are understanding and considerate and aware of the difficulties of the residents. They are always polite with relatives and visitors. I am often offered tea or coffee and even lunch. Hygiene is important and all areas are clean. I have often met the vacuum cleaner in a corridor! Residents who can sit at a table are often busy making decorations for a special day. It is a good place.

My husband has been in Catherine House since July. I was very frightened when they told me he would have to go into a home, but the care he has had at Catherine House is wonderful. The staff are all extremely friendly, kind and as well as looking after my husband, they always ask if I am alright as well. Every day when I go in to see my husband, he looks wonderful, either showered or bed bathed, wet shaved, all clean clothes, wonderful.

We visited Catherine House in December when looking for a care home in From. All staff were helpful and we were able to have a good look at all the facilities available and speak with residents.

My father has settled in very well and has gone on several visits arranged for residents, he feels safe and secure in the home and when his wife visits, she is made to feel welcome as indeed we all his family.

We first viewed the home in December when we were made very welcome. All questions were answered and we were able to speak to staff and residents. Since my father moved in he has settled his needs met and he is confident and comfortable in the setting. We are always welcomed and see the care and dignity given to those who live there.

My uncle has advanced vascular dementia and can be challenging to say the least. He has deteriorated over his time here but the staff and managers care and treat him with respect and understanding and he goes on outings and joins in with activities, something he had never done before. The staff make him laugh and we have made his room home from home. Excellent care for his complex needs and I feel it gives me peace of mind.

The primary ingredient: "care" is in abundance here.
The compassion of the manager is reflected throughout all the staff.
Entertainments are a regular feature, my own mother particularly enjoyed the "sing a longs" of 40's/50's music.

Do be aware though, that if your relative's stay was arranged by social services, there will be a huge increase, over 100% in fees if they become self-funding.

My nan was a resident at Catherine House from August 2017 until she passed away at the beginning of June 2018. All the care staff were extremely professional and attentive to my nan's needs, nothing was ever too much trouble.
As a family, they ensured we were always fully informed and were always very friendly.

All the staff made sure my nan's last days were comfortable and made her feel like she was never too much trouble and 'special'.

My mother became a resident after an operation to remove a breast tumour. Since then she has become less able to care for herself. She is looked after very well in a practical sense and her health is regularly monitored. Everything is done to make her life comfortable and happy and I am very grateful to the home for providing the excellent care.

My husband was a resident at Catherine House for some three and a half months. He suffered with dementia and other health problems.
I spent some time there, every day and found the staff very caring indeed. I was made to feel like 'part of the family'.
My husband died at Catherine House and the end of life care he received was outstanding.

An excellent care home!!

My father moved in July 2017 full of trepidation. This soon disappeared and he is happier now than he has been for a long time.

The staff are all very friendly and caring and the social activities are second to none. The home manager and her deputy are extremely helpful and always have time for a chat if it is necessary. Overall a very good home and good atmosphere.
