The staff team, from manager and deputy to those engaged with daily personal care form a community of collaborative care and concern for my mother and the other residents. They encourage us to be part of that community and add our gifts where we can. They draw in medical and other professionals to offer necessary additional support and guidance. They engage in dialogue to enable the well-being of my mother and other residents to be at the centre of their task. They offer a professional person-centred and comprehensive approach to care for all residents and those supporting them.

The staff are professional, caring and friendly. They obviously get on well with residents and each other. My mother has taken no time at all to settle in and feel secure.

She is well cared for and after less than a week, loves it there.

I could not wish for a better place for my nan to her had been outstanding. It was hard having to accept that the care we were providing was not enough anymore, but Catherine House has really made the choice easier with the kindness they show.

On every visit I can see how well my nan has been cared for and she always seems content and happy.

My husband had 4 months at Catherine House after a long spell in hospital. He improved greatly with the care supplied and my daily visits, so was able to come home on April 21st. He continues to improve and we hope he will remain so. I would be quite happy to use Catherine House again.

Mum enjoyed her final 6 months here after moving from another place. (They couldn't meet her needs) Staff were first class under extreme pressure. They were almost always caring, compassionate and respectful of mum. Although mum had a large room it was a little tired in decor and on the dark side which sometimes affected mums mood.

It's not easy to except that you have to have your loved ones in care. But the staff do really try to help and care as much as possible to all their needs. There is a good variety of food and choices if requested. Activities are excellent, doing crafts, pamper day's and musicians come in to play. Also when the weather gets a bit warmer the staff will take them out for the day to different places. It's nice that they have organised residents meetings and they also have family meetings which are very good to have your say on the good or bad that you need to air

I have been a resident here since May 2016 and I have had nothing but amazing care and support since I arrived here. The staff are excellent including carers, nurses and management.

I have nothing but praise for the dedication that all the staff have shown since I moved in here and although I am not here permanently and will come back to visit and help when I do leave.

Mum has been a resident for 6 years. Over that time we have seen varying levels of staff turnover and quality/consistency of care. Most recently this has stabilised. During mum's last week my siblings and I spent much time at her bedside - we met many staff (nurses and carers alike) who were all very caring (of us as well as mum) and extremely respectful of our situation and wishes during this period of 'end of life care'. It made a sad process much more bearable and I am very grateful to them for ensuring those last days and memories were positive. Thank you.

My experience of Catherine House has overall, been a very pleasant one, ie. the staff I have encountered have always made me feel welcome and at home; pleasing smiles and good manners, always being most helpful when necessary. My husband, the user, has settled in. His difficulty he has regarding his health issues have been attended to, this making life for him and also the rest of the family a lot easier. I am confident that all his needs have been and will be attended to the best of possibilities.

I am also confident that my husband and all his needs will be cared for under a very good manager guiding her staff well with providing training to a level of competence.

My mother is enjoying her time here at Catherine House after living alongside my husband and myself for 5 years, until a fall resulting in a broken hip, and having care at home for 2 years. Knowing she is cared for in all aspects from personal care, nursing activities is wonderful as this was something that other at home services were unable to do. It is a pleasure now to grab a coffee (x2) go and see mum and see her busy and happy. Thank you very much.

My father has been in Catherine House for 3 years. He suffers from vascular dementia and he is also doubly incontinent and is not mobile. He has to be hoisted every time he is moved. He is not bed ridden.

The staff have shown him the utmost care at all times. They keep us informed of my fathers care. Even through we visit 4 times a week, the staff always greet us letting us know how he is, his mood and answer any concerns we may have. The home support is and answered any questions we may have. They have a varied programme of events which both stimulate and entertain. We are also invited to take part.
