Hamilton Park Nursing Home

From the very first assessment meeting in her home to the moment my friend died at Hamilton, she was treated with care, respect, dignity and love. All the staff, from the nurses, carers, catering staff, laundry staff, everyone who came in contact with her, was wonderful both to my friend and to her friends and family. Being in end of life care and constant pain was difficult but Hamilton did everything to make the last 5 months as easy as it could be; I feel very grateful for everything they did for all of us. A truly special place.

Over the past few weeks I have spent many hours at Hamilton Park with my father, who is receiving end-of-life care. During that time I have had the privilege of getting to know many of the staff personally, and I wanted to recognise the compassion they have shown not only to my father, but also to our family.

Thank you to Nela, Claudia, Indika, Hayley, Udari, Tish, Mirela H, Eva, Renith, Harshad and, of course, Jimmy. Each of you has treated my father with kindness, dignity and respect during one of the most difficult times of our lives. You have also taken the time to support me, knowing how deeply I love my dad, and that has meant more than you will ever realise.

What has stood out most is that you work as a team and genuinely care. It feels less like a workplace and more like a family, and that warmth comes across every day.

One thing this experience has taught me is how important it is for families to spend as much time as they can with their loved ones if circumstances allow.

At no time since my father was admitted to Hamilton Park have I ever been concerned about his care and well-being. At the heart of all they do is to treat all residents with respect and dignity. Where possible they will do everything they can to let them be included in any decisions, it isn't always possible owing to their level of cognitive ability. That they are included in all entertainments, again within the limits of their abilities. The result that Dad is living his best possible life and is happy, happier than he has been anywhere else. The ethos within the home starts at the top and is held through all staff - nurses, carers, helpers, cleaners, kitchen staff and maintenance. My family and I couldn't ask for more and at a time when it is difficult for us to see the strong man we once knew disappear, the support given to us too is above and beyond. Thanks to everyone working at Hamilton Park , you are all doing an excellent job.

I cannot fault the care of this home, totally go above and beyond. My partner was safe & happy here which made me happy, management, clinical lead & carers excellent, Claudia 100% careing as ever for the last day of my partners life couldn't do enough for all my family. Activities outstanding lovely lovely people feels like family when you walk through the door. I feel even now if I go back to the home I would be greeted as a friend and would always be welcome.

His last 24 hours end of life care was amazing the nurser & Claudia the clinical lead was so helpful and caring shes amazing and so grateful for all his care till the end.

I would like to say a big massive thank you and heartfelt bye to all the staff at Hamilton park nursing home.This home is so homely and the staff are so welcoming and supportive. My mums partner passed away in the home recently and I could be more happy with the care and support he received and us as a family through this heartbreaking time. I work in a well established care home in Taunton and have for many years but to have a family member in a nursing home and pass away puts in perspective how families feel. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the residents always look happy and well cared for. The activity lady is brilliant credit to the home. The manager is lovely and approachable she is a very good manager. All the staff are brilliant but Claudia is fantastic with my mum and with us all she was with us at the end and supported us through it she is amazing always cheerful helpful and keeping us informed. Thank you Hamilton park you are amazing and we will miss you all.

Very well run care home, the staff are all polite and helpful. Residents are well cared for. I am very impressed.

My mum moved into Hamilton Park when her care needs increased. I live in America and rely on the staff to provide everything that my mum needs. I'm able to visit a few times throughout the year, and every time that I visit my mum, she has grown stronger and stronger. She is always very clearly cared for, and it is very apparent that the staff truly care for each resident. Every time I visit, each staff member greets me with warmth and knows exactly how my mum is. I couldn't provide a better level of care.

The home is also not far from the motorway.

My Mum was a resident at Hamilton Park Nursing Home between the end of June and mid December 2025, when she sadly passed away due to dementia and frailty. She was visited almost every day by my father, sister or I. We could not have been happier with the amazing care she received. When she was moved to Hamilton Park, she was extremely frail and hardly eating. She had little interest in life or in collective activities at that point. Hamilton Park , with its incredible staff, effectively brought back some quality of life, encouraging her eating with its devoted care, as well as her participation in many of the communal activities of the home, lifting her mood enormously. While her physical health declined sharply in her last month, we continued to be hugely impressed with the ways in which the home responded in her care until the end. Their caring for all of us as a family was of the very highest order. We are grieving our loss so much, but have many good memories of my Mum's stay at HP

My mum is being looked after really well, which is all I can ask.

My uncle is in Hamilton park it's my first ever experience with a care home and they've been so wonderful to him and my family always so helpful and accommodating they've made his stay here truly a wonderful experience he's loving the day time activities the visits from riverside and the sing alongside I can't thank them all enough for keeping my uncle smiling

As the wife of my husband, who was in care for 3 years, I found the care and respect second to none. I felt part of a family, got to know other residents and can only praise the manager and staff. If I did have any concern, it was sorted straight away. On the night of my husband's death, I had been with him most of the day and left about 4 PM to go home. At seven that evening, I got a call that I should go back. A member of staff who was going off duty came and picked me up. Having no transport, I am so grateful, it gave me the chance to be with him at the end.

Mum is a recent resident at Hamilton Pk and we are extremely pleased with the care she receives and how wonderful the carers, of all levels, are with her and the others. They are so patient and understanding and Mum is clearly happy and settled.

Very loving home. Warm, clean and the staff are lovely. Visited Hamilton on two occasions and was very impressed with the organisation and care shown around the home. A welcoming feel to the place. Recommended.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hamilton Park for the care my mum received while with you. You have all been really amazing and very welcoming to the family, also.

Although Dad was only at Hamilton Park Care Home for a short period of palliative care, I'm glad I found this caring group of human beings to see him through his final days. Staff here are friendly and professional in all aspect of nursing care. Dad was always treated with respect and dignity. He very much enjoyed the home cooked food, which always looked appetizing. Yes, the building is old and the grounds small, but this home has a warm "homely" feel all thanks to the manager and her wonderful team who are full of kindness and compassion.
