The Wells Nursing Home welcomes up to 40 residents all in single rooms, with en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is well equipped with a nurse call system, television and personal washing facilities.

The home has been fully refurbished and some of the rooms drastically improved with beautiful en-suite facilities.

The home has two dining rooms. One spacious, very smart dining room facing the gardens with wonderful views of The Mendip Hills and a smaller room where residents can choose to eat in more privacy if they wish. The food is provided by experienced and well qualified cooks. The menus are varied and special needs are always met.

There is a comfortable sitting room where residents can relax. This leads into another sitting room with more views of the attractive gardens. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with several seating areas including a lovely patio area.

I cannot praise the staff enough for their professionalism, kindness and support to my mother, my brother and myself.
The home is clean and well maintained with a lovely warm and welcoming feeling.

Our elderly relative came to this facility after a spell in the hospital. We can't fault the excellent care afforded to him by management and staff at The Wells Nursing Home. His health and well-being has improved immensely under their care and the food supplied is of excellent quality. Beautiful grounds
for leisure. Great interaction with visitors and relatives.

All the staff I've met seem nice and friendly. They do lots of different things, e.g. activities, events, etc., to cater for a wide range of people. The staff will do all they can to make the residents happy. The rooms could be a little cleaner. Quite often, when I visit, there are bits all over the
floor, and the commode is full. Once the staff are made aware of this, they then act quickly to rectify it. The room my nan is in is quite small, but she is very happy there though.

Prior to the move-in date, I was given a tour of the home and the room for my husband.
We discussed the proximity of facilities, activities set out for residents and the overall care plan. The efficiency and care gone into planning for the move-in date was fantastic.
While some facilities may have
required cosmetic updating, which the home was in the process of doing, all staff have been absolutely amazing.
On the actual move-in date, everyone was so welcoming on what was a very emotional day, as my husband had spent a long time in hospital before moving into the Wells Nursing Home. We had lunch together and had time to settle in.
It was the start of a journey of excellent support both for my husband and myself. His room is always clean, his clothes immaculate and the food is top quality.
The garden is beautiful and wheelchair-friendly, and we get to have some quality time together.
I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for excellent care for their loved ones.

My mother comae her after a long hospital stay and did not want to go into care, but as she was unable to care for herself and not mobile, she has little choice but the improvement in her mood and motivation are noticuble, she admits she is happy here, staff are very good as is the food and all activities,
she has made friends which is lovely to see. The manager is very caring and has done everything she can to make my mother welcome.

The gardens are particularly beautiful and peaceful. The staff were wonderful and kind. The bedroom was very nice with lovely views. The manager was lovely and arranged for a TV and recliner chair to be in my room. I look forward to returning again later in the year.

The Wells Nursing Home provide excellent care for my mother, who is 92 years old. The staff are friendly, and aim to build a relationship with the residents. All needs are well provided for both personal and general. Activities are a regular feature of the nursing home, which all residents are encouraged
to participate in, which provides essential social interaction. My mother is very happy with her care.

My brother has only been a resident for a short period, but the staff have made every effort to ensure he has settled and is comfortable. He is always showered and shaved when we visit, and very much looks forward to his meals which are excellent, well presented and hot. The team are always welcoming
and always try to address any queries we may have.

It has been my experience that most of the staff give far more to their job and the residents than the basic responsibility required by their employment contractual obligation. The manager in particular can be best described in one word as 'dedicated'.

A small caring community. Staff are friendly and professional. There have been several occasions when the lift has broken, so they have brought my sister down to the ground floor. Always staff around to discuss any needs.

My wife has been dumped in there against her and my will. She has to sit in a wheelchair and not move, she cannot straighten her legs and does not get any leg exercise or massage. She is not allowed to use her reclining chair or massage cushion. It is extremely painful for me to see her in this condition.
I am not allowed to see if she has eaten any dinner or push her out in the garden. She is handled by men who cannot speak English. Her central heating is not working, she should be kept warm.

My mum has been at The Wells nursing home for over two months and I can only say how happy my family is that we chose the Wells. Both clinical leads are amazing! My mum has received such an excellent standard of care. In fact, all the staff are excellent at The Wells. Respectful, polite, kind and caring.
I literally can't recommend the wells enough.

I have checked each part of the care plan with the nurse in charge and have found it very satisfactory. I have found this nursing home to be rather pleasant and friendly. My family and I have always been made welcome on our visits at whatever time we arrive. My mother has not always been an easy person
to care for especially when being cared for in her own home - playing carers up, but here she has settled down nicely with good team spirit from the carers, whom we have found exceptionally good and helping her to eat when not inclined. My mother seems to love the spirit of activity surrounding her especially as she does not want to leave her bed. We have also found the Grounds and Gardens peaceful here, a pleasant place for wheelchair users with easy access.

My mother-in-law has been a resident here for over 12 months after a fall on which she fractured her pelvis. Since day 1 the staff have been kind, friendly and professional. They have always kept me up to date with any changes in her condition and care.
