The Wells Nursing Home

Mum moved from rehab bed following a fall + surgery. She has multiple co-morbidities incl. dementia. The staff are outstanding + promote dignity + wellbeing in a calm unhurried environment. Mum has settled well + has full care incl intimate care delivered in very respectful ways. Mum doesn't understand that it is a permanent placement but I have every confidence in her lead nurse 'Lynn' & the manager Alex. This has been a difficult move for my dad + us, but made so much easier by the staff at Wells Nursing Home

I was very happy with the care given to my husband who stayed for respite care. He said the staff were kind. He was smart and shaved when I picked him up. He and I were treated with respect and kindness. My only worry was that his own wheelchair was taken out if his room and put into a storage cupboard and I had to ask where it was and help staff to look for it. All his other belongings were neatly packed. I plan to use this respite care service again. Belinda Canning

My relative has been at The Wells Nursing Home for approx 12 months. During this time his health has improved and he interacts with both residents and carers. The staff are very caring to both residents and visitors alike. Recently a lot of remediation work has been under taken to the inside of the premises.

My mum is a resident, sent from hospital, palative care. This home is extreamly well run, to a high standard. Food is excellent, plenty of choice, adapted to each persons wants/needs. Bright clean environment, pet friendly, perfect for mum. Staff are amazing, going above and beyond.

Superbly run nusing home, all staff excellent, clean condition, fabulouse food.

My mum has a bad fall and after some time in hospital my dad got her transferred to The Wells Nursing Home. She has been there throughout December and with their care and enthusiasm Diana has made great strides in her health so much so she has come home to my Dad and is now recovering slowly at home. My thanks to the home for their care.

My wife Diana had a catastrophic fall and suffered bleeds on the brain!! After 3 weeks in hospital though still not well I had her transferred to The Wells Nursing Home as this is only 5 miles from our home. From the first day right through the month the staff from the manager down have been superb with their care and attention to my wife. The home is cheery, light, food good, rooms clean etc. Several excursions plus activities, faultless!

The home is clean and well maintained with a lovely warm and welcoming feeling.

Better than expected, the staff are friendly and kind. The building is dated. I would recommend this home.

Our elderly relative came to this facility after a spell in the hospital. We can't fault the excellent care afforded to him by management and staff at The Wells Nursing Home. His health and well-being has improved immensely under their care and the food supplied is of excellent quality. Beautiful grounds for leisure. Great interaction with visitors and relatives.

All the staff I've met seem nice and friendly. They do lots of different things, e.g. activities, events, etc., to cater for a wide range of people. The staff will do all they can to make the residents happy. The rooms could be a little cleaner. Quite often, when I visit, there are bits all over the floor, and the commode is full. Once the staff are made aware of this, they then act quickly to rectify it. The room my nan is in is quite small, but she is very happy there though.

Overall I'm very happy with my mums care and she seems happy there. She enjoys the food and likes the staff.

I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for excellent care for their loved ones.

My mother comae her after a long hospital stay and did not want to go into care, but as she was unable to care for herself and not mobile, she has little choice but the improvement in her mood and motivation are noticuble, she admits she is happy here, staff are very good as is the food and all activities, she has made friends which is lovely to see. The manager is very caring and has done everything she can to make my mother welcome.

The gardens are particularly beautiful and peaceful. The staff were wonderful and kind. The bedroom was very nice with lovely views. The manager was lovely and arranged for a TV and recliner chair to be in my room. I look forward to returning again later in the year.

The Wells Nursing Home provide excellent care for my mother, who is 92 years old. The staff are friendly, and aim to build a relationship with the residents. All needs are well provided for both personal and general. Activities are a regular feature of the nursing home, which all residents are encouraged to participate in, which provides essential social interaction. My mother is very happy with her care.

My brother has only been a resident for a short period, but the staff have made every effort to ensure he has settled and is comfortable. He is always showered and shaved when we visit, and very much looks forward to his meals which are excellent, well presented and hot. The team are always welcoming and always try to address any queries we may have.

It has been my experience that most of the staff give far more to their job and the residents than the basic responsibility required by their employment contractual obligation. The manager in particular can be best described in one word as 'dedicated'.

We are content and relieved to know my mother is being looked after so well at Henton. The staff are, without exception, kind, welcoming and very professional. Thanks.

The staff are incredible. Kind and totally patient-focused. They treat everyone with dignity and respect. The families of residents are also well respected and included.
