Bybrook House Nursing Home

With the recent increase in Residental fees it would be good to see some this increased cost invested in more personalised activities for those residents unable to partake in the group activities. There are the odd individuals left alone to long with out seeing anyone at all, and lonelness alone doesn't do some people any good. The staff at Bybrook are very nice but I fear are too few.

Dad has been at Bybrook since January 2025. He has limited mobility. The quality of care is excellent. The staff are attentive, respectful and very kind. Any medical issues are dealt with promptly by the trained nurses and communicated to the doctors surgery fpr action. His room is spotless, and his clothes are always clean. He enjoys the food, which is always varied and of good quality. Mum was also a resident, and on her passing, she was dealt with dignity and respect, as were the whole family. Having had experience with other care homes, I am very pleased we came across Bybrook.

Superb care- practically an extension of family- care is never an easy option, but bybrook excel in every department and are a credit to the care industry- it takes some of the load off of what is an emotionally taxing time

My mum was in for respite but decided to stay as the care she receives is amazing all the staff are friendly and caring. Not only do they look after my mum but the also take good care of us when we visit 5 star in everything

My mother received end of life care at Bybrook House and from the time she arrived, until she passed away, she was treated with care and compassion. I will always be grateful to the staff at Bybrook for looking after Mum, their kindness made a difficult time a bit easier for our family.

We have had very happy experiences at Bybrook House. The house, gardens and rooms are lovely but most important of all are the warm and friendly staff. They were thoughtful, involved and generous in their care of my husband's aunt. Because of her illness she could be quite a handful at times but they continued to treat her respectfully and to do their best for her. Our experience of Bybrook was of people who really do care, who are considerate and who treat people as real people, worthy of respect despite all. We are so very grateful to have found them and to have had that time with them.

Bybrook House is an excellent nursing home. They are very caring and have a wonderful quality of thoughtfulness and family like caring. It is such a very friendly place for my mum to be.

We have been very pleased with the care that our father has received at Bybrook House so far. They are very kind, patient and friendly team who we always available to give advice and support with a smile.

My mother and father needed full time care. Both have different needs so we felt really fortunate to find Bybrook had vacancies and both could have a room next to each other. The care of the staff has been exceptional, both to my parents and us, as a family. The rooms are gorgeous and are kept spotless. Mum + Dad have moved some of their pictures + nicnaks in so it really feels personal. I would definitely recommend.

The atention to detail and comfort of the Resident is of high standard. The staff are well trained and attentive. They are quick to respond and sometimes exceptional. The only negitive is that the building designed to be best siuted for a care home (small passages) Otherwise outstanding.

My dear auntie, who is now at the end of her life, never wanted to go into a nursing home, bless her, but after being in hospital, she was unable to go home, due to her illness. I cannot wish for her to be anywhere else than Bybrook House Nursing Home, it ticks all boxes. Thank you so much for everything.

My mother has been a resident for six years. Throughout this time, the staff have been exceptional - friendly, kind, supportive, professional and they treat the residents with dignity and empathy. They are a supportive team and always appear focused and happy. The house and grounds are well-maintained (I have given 'good' for rooms as my mother's is a little tired and could do with a bit of attention). Other than that, I think Bybrook House Nursing Home is absolutely amazing.

My experience of Bybrook House Nursing Home are of great comfort to me. My husband is so well looked after. The room is always sparkling clean, the linens are always sparkling clean and my husband is kept very clean and smart. The staff display endless patience and consideration to his needs. Their work gives my husband as pleasant and comfortable a life as possible in the circumstances. The management are always on hand to consult if needed.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful people. I am very happy with the way my mum has been looked after.

Have much pain and hope to die soon, under new law, but I could not be in a better place until then.

I have been well looked after since I came here last February 2023. I get on very well with all the staff who are helpful and friendly, who seem to get on with each other, from the manager to the cleaners. The building is old, I know, but lacks a hairdressing salon which most homes have. I can sum it up by saying, there is a good atmosphere here in Bybrook House Nursing Home which I like.

Bybrook House Nursing Home is a wonderful care home. Predominantly because it doesn't feel like a care home. It is small, the staff have all been at the home for a long time and know the residents well which provides much reassurance. The rooms are homely with much character. The gardens are beautiful, with far-reaching views. The activities are engaging and entertaining and the menus well-planned and well cook-cooked.

When my 93 year old neighbour was admitted four and a half months ago, very unwell, we said that we hoped Bybrook House Nursing Home would help her get better so she could come home again. I don't think any of us really thought this might be possible. Our neighbour returned home yesterday, a new woman! She was looked after so well by the skilled, caring and flexible staff. It helped that she loved her room and particularly it's soothing view of open countryside. Everyone involved in her care went out of their way to look after her and help her recover her independence. I can't praise Bybrook House enough.
