New Day Nursing Home

Members of staff are always very helpful and considerate to the needs of the families whose loved ones are residents at New Day, they also appear to treat all residents with diligence and respect, all in all I’m more than happy with the service at New Day.

When I first came here it was because of a very traumatic experience and I did not want to be in a home of any description. The staff here made me feel very welcome and cared for me in a very dignified manner. They took care of my medical issues accordingly. The food was really good and there was plenty of choice. Activities are available. I am now really happy here and feel very safe. I would describe it as a "home" within a home. All the staff are respectful to me.

A friendly nursing home which is very dementia aware and skilled. Staff are approachable and supportive of residents and their family visitors. The nursing staff are reliable and professional. The nursing home cater for my vegetarian diet.

Very happy with the care my husband gets from everyone in the home.

Our neighbour has recently had to go into care, suffering with dementia. Like so many people going through this terrible disease, he is being cared for at a local care home, New Day Nursing Home. The staff there are excellent and they held a special event to introduce the new manager. There was a raffle and I won first prize - a chocolate hamper. I re-raffled the hamper to raise money for the home and they were so grateful. We couldn’t ask for better staff to look after him, from all of his family and friends, we all want to say a massive thank you.

My mother has been at New Day Nursing Home for almost 2 years and during this time the staff have treated her with compassion and kindness. They listen and respond attentively to her and as a family member they have always been very friendly and welcoming. The staff keep you informed and encourage family in their activity days/celebrations - I couldn't be happier with how mom is treated and would highly recommend this home. Thank you so much to all the staff at New Day - you're fantastic!

My brother has been here for over five years he is safe and comfortable. The staff are great. They have many social events over the year involving family members Easter, Spring, Summer, Christmas and birthday events. Lovely staff always hardworking. Thanks guys.

The staff are brilliant they always keep me up to date with everything. The management is great, activities great. I feel better now my mum is safe and secure.

Staff at New Day are always willing to help us and always treat residents with respect and dignity. Always update us with all information regarding our brother, especially due to Covid. Alwats welcoming when we go to see him, they always ask if we have any questions and always answer honestly, and if necessary, will take us into private rooms.

All I can say is that it is a most wonderful home, 100%.

From mum's first day at New Day Nursing Home to today the 1st March 2022, mum has received top care from all the staff. The overall standard is excellent. Mum has always been treated with dignity by both staff and management. I am informed of every detail of mum's care when I am at home and updated every week. I really do believe that I could not have placed mum in a better environment, it is so comforting to know that mum is receiving the very best care every day. Thank you.

I highly recommend the home to anybody.

The staff are all very professional and very supportive of my father as well as my mother. They care for all of my mother's care needs making sure she feels happy and safe at all times. The home is excellent at accommodating visits for our family and keep us informed about our mom. We have had a very difficult year but all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to support us all. My mother now enjoys our visits which the staff help to make as normal as possible. We all feel supported and would like to thank all the staff for the excellent care they continue to give our mother.

Staff work hard, they're always smiling. I could not have wanted a better place for my brother. The home was recommended by his social worker. He said, "it's not glamorous, but the care is wonderful". I have been to several other homes - lovely, were facility, efficient but no atmosphere, cold. If that's what people are used to fine, but the building and the ethos need to be appropriate and the staff chose to be empathetic and willing to do anything. I would live at New Day myself. I can't recommend it highly enough.

My husband went into this wonderful nursing home at the beginning of the first Covid lockdown. Although I wasn't allowed to visit him, the staff made every effort to keep me informed with telephone and video calls. I cannot fault the care and love and respect that my husband is receiving, in spite of the restrictions that had to be put in place due to Covid-19. He is in good hands.

There are no words to describe how grateful our family are to all the staff here for their outstanding care and compassion they showed to our family. They took care of my mother-in-law impeccably. Showing dignity at all times. They made her feel safe and secure. We never had any worries about leaving her there. They kept us up to date regularly during lockdown. They treated her like family. We are eternally grateful. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Other homes may be more 'glamorous' but it is the care that counts and I am forever grateful and humbled by your wonderful care. THANK YOU ALL at Newday.
