Lovely warm, caring home, great friendly staff, wonderful with the residents, highly recommended. Great entertainment for residents, all residents are kept lovely, smart and clean, home always smells nice and always very presentable, big praise for the cares and well done to the laundry for keeping
residents nicely kept and the cleaners for giving residents a lovely place to live. Hard working as a team and individually, always work hard.

After having issues at my mum's previous care home, I was worried how she would settle into somewhere new. I needn’t have had any concerns as she has settled into Herondale really well. The staff treat her with respect and dignity and she now joins in with activities. I am not able to visit as often
as I did at the previous home due to the distance, but I know mum is being cared and looked after and when I visit it's lovely to see her relaxed in her new home.

I have had an issue with a missing footplate on a wheelchair and everyone including carers, laundry staff and management did everything they could to find it. The issue is now being resolved satisfactorily with thanks to the new manager of the home.

My husband went into Kingfisher House to receive palliative care and ultimately end of life care. He was admitted in April and was cared for with friendliness and compassion by all who encountered him. This kindness was extended to me and our son. Nothing seemed any trouble getting his room homely.
Things were brought from home so he could occupy his time reading, listening to music, watching TV or DVDs. We could visit when we wished. We felt very happy in the knowledge that he felt in safe hands. It is a comfort to know that he cared for by such lovely caring people

My father came to Kingfisher House after being in hospital seriously ill for approximately 6 weeks, from the moment I arrived at the home I felt comfortable and at ease. It's outward appearance was light, fresh and tidy. The home smelt fresh, decor was bright and there was a light and caring atmosphere
straight away. The staff were immediately helpful and welcoming, putting me at ease straight away. Within an hour my dad being there he was attended to and I immediately noticed the difference in him. He was calm, relaxed and since then he has made an all-round improvement

My father was put into Kingfisher Nursing Home from hospital for end of life care, as he was given 2/3 weeks to live.
We were devastated because we had had him bedridden at home for two and a half years. But he was given the best care we could have wished for, kept clean, comfortable, treated with
dignity at all times.
The staff were always patient, friendly and very supportive to all of his family.
The home was brightly maintained, beautifully inside which gave you a very warm feeling.
The outside had lovely lawns, trees and flowers. A nice outlook for the residents and family.
It had a homely feeling.

Kingfisher House has a superb ambience. Most friendly management of staff, treating residents and visitors like old friends. My friend who is very elderly and has gone through many traumatic months since October 2016 has come on leaps and bounds in the two weeks she has been in Kingfisher House.

My neighbour resided in here for only a few weeks but I was so happy with the care he received. All staff were attentive, personable and knowledgeable. I can't thank the staff enough for treating him so well and with such dignity, making his last few weeks as easy as possible for us. All staff were
friendly and acted in the best interest of the service user and should be commended. Thank you for everything. A special thank you to the staff.

My mother was transferred into Herondale after a pretty traumatic time at another care home.On our initial visit to Herondale, we were welcomed by very friendly staff and we immediately felt this was the best place for my mother to be looked after. During her time there she was kept clean, fed well
and her general hygiene was immaculate. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the one to one supervision she received was excellent. I would definitely recommend this home to any other families who are unfortunate to have family members suffering from dementia.

My father in law has been a resident here for almost two years now and he has not been the easiest of people to care for in the early days but the amazing staff here took their time to get know and understand him and his needs and we truly believe that is the reason we are lucky enough to still have
him with us today.
From the management to the care staff there is only one word to describe Herondale Care Home and that is quite simply AMAZING.
Thank you for all you do for our family.

As a family, we had to make a decision that the best way forward was to find a care home for our dad. After much searching, we found Kingfisher and what a treasure this turned out to be. We were always made to feel welcome when visiting, in fact, we were told to make it our home. The staff are so committed
to the residents and visitors and everyone is on first name basis. Dad was there for five months and passed in Kingfisher two days after his 85th birthday, the dignity and professionalism from management superseded all our expectations. Thank you very much for all the care and attention that you showed us and thanks to the other residents and visitors who we met as strangers but left as friends.

My father spent 4 months in Herondale before passing away. He was treated with the utmost respect and received loving and wonderful care during his time there. The staff were always friendly and so kind to the residents and family. You could visit when ever you wanted and it was always the same. You
could tell how well looked after the residents were and the home felt very happy and full of love. My dad sadly passed away due to his dementia and myself and my brother stayed at the home for 4 days and nights during this sad time. The staff treated us so well emotionally and physically, feeding us and offering support. My dad had a very peaceful passing which was partly due to the loving surroundings he was in. I could not begin to thank the staff enough for the way they cared for my dad.
