My mom has been in The Limes for four months now so I felt it was time to write a review.
Since Mom has been there, she has gone from strength to strength and is the best physically that we have seen her in over a year.
She has made friends and gets on with staff and other residents. She is eating properly and is joining in with their varied activities. She always looks well turned out and cared for and she even gets her nails varnished regularly.
It was a hard decision for us but after we visited The Limes to see what it was like we had a good feeling about it and they let us go and look round straight away so we felt that was good as they had nothing to hide. We visited again a couple of days after to confirm our first thoughts and to select a room for Mom.

I feel now that she is safe and cared for and I don't worry any more about her wellbeing.

Overall Experience

Our relative has been here for many months now so I feel able to give a fair impression of the home over time. The care here is excellent. The general ethos of the management is to treat residents as if they were their own relative and they convey this thinking to the staff they carefully choose. We have no serious concerns about the care of our relative. If we bring anything to the attention of staff it is dealt with promptly. There is an excellent activities co-ordinator here, she works full-time (a rarity in most homes) and her enthusiasm knows no bounds. She is always open to suggestions for activities to make the residents' time there more pleasant. There is plenty going on - check out the regular newsletter in the foyer for details of past and current doings. The staff know us well now and are always friendly and welcoming. Would I recommend the home? I've asked them to keep a room free for me when the time comes!

Nothing but good words to say about the Limes. Staff are professional and hard working. Attention to detail is spot on and I and my family now have peace of mind that my Grandmother is being looked after correctly.

It is never an easy decision to make however as a family we feel at ease knowing that she is being looked after constantly and as a result, her health has improved in the short time being there.

They are doing an excellent job.
