My husband chose to end his days in Neville Williams House as we had already had a great experience with his mother. Sadly my husband was only there for a week before his days ended. During that period he felt comfortable, supported, valued, taken care of and given an enormous amount of dignity. Of course this meant that I could share these feelings and enjoy that time with him as a devoted wife and soul mate. We shared quality time together and that will always stay with me.

Reply from Amy Beasley, General Manager at Neville Williams House

Thankyou for you lovely review , although brief we are so pleased that you got to spend that quality time with your husband and enjoy the pleasures of relaxing and spending important time together . Thankyou for letting us be part of your husbands journey and we are pleased that although this was a very sad period you felt reassured that your husband was well cared for .

The care home is friendly and caring. My husband has been attending day care twice a week since November. He seems settled and happy there.
Everyone is so caring and look after him really well.

The care home organised a valentines lunchtime meal recently. It was lovely and the decorations looked beautiful. Everyone at the home worked hard to make it a success and ensure everyone enjoyed it.

My wife went into the home some weeks ago (the most time we have been separated in 62 years of marriage). The carers in the home really do care and as I visit every day I feel very confident that I am leaving her in the best possible hands. As I usually stay during the lunchtime I cannot believe how wonderful the meals are and how considerate everybody is in helping those who have difficulty in eating.

Reply from Amy Beasley, General Manager at Neville Williams House

My Mother was a resident at Neville Williams House from Oct 2024 until Feb 2026 when very sadly she passed away. Mom was on Bluebell dementia unit. She had a lovely room which overlooked the beautiful garden, which we often walked around together. Mom settled fairly quickly onto the unit and the staff welcomed her and treated her with dignity and respect from the very first day she arrived. I was anxious and concerned about how mom would settle , however after the first few weeks mom settled really well and was cared for very well. As a family we visited regularly and we got to know all the staff who were kind and caring to her. Sadly she had a fall 3 weeks ago and was admitted to hospital. She had a very traumanitc time in hospital and we as a family chose for her to return to NW. The care she received in the last 3 weeks of her life was outstanding! All the staff treated her so well as if she was a member of there own family as well as supporting us. THANK YOU TO ALL

My friend was in urgent need for a Nursing home and after researching online , speaking to the managers and then visiting the homes I felt 100% comfortable that Neville Williams was the best place .
From the first day the staff showed a full understanding of what was required to look after their new " client ".
The rooms had everything that was needed to care , the facilities for health and wellbeing were excellent.

The complete staff team worked together to make my friends stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.. I cannot thank this team enough.

Dad moved to the wonderful secure dementia unit at Neville Williams house in early 2025, as a broken hip and his advancing dementia meant he needed more support. From the very first day on Bluebell Walk, he was treated with respect and dignity and made to feel like he belonged there - and we as a family felt welcome. As I got to know the carers, I knew that he was in safe hands. They took the time to listen to us and to get to know how Dad liked to be treated and what was important to him. One carer told me "don't worry, we are his family now" - and that sums it up very well, it does feel like a big family!

Dad had 9 happy months there and clearly felt safe. Aided by the staff, he had a good daily routine, spending lots of time in the lovely bright communal area. Every single member of staff acted with care and compassion. Even in challenging situations, we witnessed only patience and dignified treatment. The end of life care was unbelievably compassionate. The team do an amazing job!

From the moment we looked round Neville Williams we knew he would be in good hands. When he needed more help in May 2025, the care home lived up to all our expectations. I visited every morning and my mother every afternoon and the carers, cleaners, cooks, activity staff, laundry service, maintenance staff, managers etc have always had a smile on their faces and been kind and considerate to everyone. They would always stop to talk to him showing genuine interest in what he had to say. The carers and nursing care were phenomenal. The longevity of the carers at NW just goes to show what a lovely nursing home it is, or they'd leave! If my father had a medical issue, the nursing staff would contact the GP Practice, get a response the same day and start new medications straightaway when required. They always listened to our concerns and his end of life was as calm and dignified as anyone could wish for. He really was in the best place and that's Neville Williams. I thoroughly recommend it.

Dad has only been in Neville Williams for three weeks (previously in another care home for over 2 years where we never felt dad was really safe and cared for)
Since dads arrival at NW we can finally see the level of care we had always hoped he would receive. The difference is like night and day. We finally feel he is in safe hands.
The home is spotless, feels really homely, and every single member of staff we have met is resident focussed. Residents aren't just left in their rooms or beds, they are up, clean, shaved etc and involved in what's going on, whether it's tea out in the garden or in the lounge with other residents with staff to hand. Staff are positively interacting with the residents, and it's so lovely to see. As a family we visit approx 3 times a week, and we've never found dad just left to his own devices, he's always involved somewhere.

Dad was discharged from hospital on end of life care, but the team have helped him improve massively. We are so happy to have found NW.

Our mom was a unique character who cared for all more than herself. Neville Williams House returned this favour to my mom. They gave a special sould a special space to take her last breath. What they have done with their garden is so lovely and was the perfect space for my mom to be connected to nature which made her so happy. I couldn't of wished for a space and a caring community which is at Neville Williams House. From cleaners, health care assitants to nurses they are so incredible.

My 94 year old mother, who suffered from dementia, moved from a local Care Home to Neville Williams House in November 2024 as she needed more specialised care.Mum's lovely light room was always clean and tidy and overlooked the garden. She spent the last few months of her life supported by a wonderful team of Carers and Nurses who coped heroically with her challenging behavior, always staying patient, kind and respectful to her.All the Staff and Managers there were so friendly and gave us lots of support and good advice. My family and I would highly recommend Neville Williams House to anyone looking for an excellent Nursing Home.

My sister has been a resident in Neville Williams House for 19 months. Her comments on the carers who look after her are, "Nothing is too much trouble for them.", " They are always polite and say please and thank you", "They want to do all they can to help me".

I, too, have always found the carers cheerful, polite and helpful. I think they do a difficult job, and yet they have a caring and supportive attitude. They should be commended.

My mother has been in Neville Williams House for 3 weeks now, she is very poorly and was transferred from hospital to this home.
I cannot praise them enough, as a nurse myself, I can be over-critical of healthcare, but the care they have provided is exceptional, they manage every aspect of care with great care, respect and to a very high standard. The management of the home is excellent and the staff delivering the care are second to none.
As soon as she arrived she was allocated a named nurse, who has been really supportive to my brother and I and is really skilled at managing patients with end-stage dementia.

Both of my parents have been in a number of homes over the last few years, and my only regret is that we didn't find this home sooner.
