BCOP is a charity that supports older people in Birmingham, with three nursing homes and a number of supported housing and independent living schemes across the city.

BCOP staff are proud to enrich residents’ lives every day by helping them to feel cared for, respected and by treating each person as an individual. The relationship staff have with residents deepens over time and while each of the nursing homes is unique, each has created a rich community, with a feeling of homeliness and warmth where everyone feels safe and protected.

The homes can also offer transitional or respite care to older people who are being discharged from hospital.

In 2020, BCOP was named one of the Top 20 Recommended Small Care Home Groups by carehome.co.uk.

All the staff which includes the Manager, Anthea, and the Admin staff Tia have been very supportive in providing information and advice to myself and also my father. The nursing and care staff are attentive and caring towards my mum's needs and always kind and respectful to my mum and family. The room
my mum is in is very peaceful and calming particularly in view of my mum's terminal illness.
The meals are always healthy, varied and clearly much care is taken to ensure variety in meal choices. There are also additional options if needed. The catering staff again are kind, caring and always helpful, this has greatly helped me whilst visiting my mother and also reassuring to know that my mum, whose appetite is good despite her health, is eating the meals at Robert Harvey House.
The ability to visit during the day has been extremely beneficial to my mum, as visitors including myself can visit during these flexible times.
Thank you to all the staff at Robert Harvey House for their care and kindness.

From the moment we looked round Neville Williams we knew he would be in good hands. When he needed more help in May 2025, the care home lived up to all our expectations. I visited every morning and my mother every afternoon and the carers, cleaners, cooks, activity staff, laundry service, maintenance
staff, managers etc have always had a smile on their faces and been kind and considerate to everyone. They would always stop to talk to him showing genuine interest in what he had to say. The carers and nursing care were phenomenal. The longevity of the carers at NW just goes to show what a lovely nursing home it is, or they'd leave! If my father had a medical issue, the nursing staff would contact the GP Practice, get a response the same day and start new medications straightaway when required. They always listened to our concerns and his end of life was as calm and dignified as anyone could wish for. He really was in the best place and that's Neville Williams. I thoroughly recommend it.

Our mum was only a resident of Robert Harvey House for just over 24 hours before she passed away. Despite that short period of time we were made to feel part of the Robert Harvey House family as soon as we set foot through the door. All the staff showed immense care and empathy which was not only directed
towards their residents but included all visiting friends and family. This is the second time that we have sent a member of our family to RHH and both times the care has been outstanding.

Dad has only been in Neville Williams for three weeks (previously in another care home for over 2 years where we never felt dad was really safe and cared for)
Since dads arrival at NW we can finally see the level of care we had always hoped he would receive. The difference is like night and day. We
finally feel he is in safe hands.
The home is spotless, feels really homely, and every single member of staff we have met is resident focussed. Residents aren't just left in their rooms or beds, they are up, clean, shaved etc and involved in what's going on, whether it's tea out in the garden or in the lounge with other residents with staff to hand. Staff are positively interacting with the residents, and it's so lovely to see. As a family we visit approx 3 times a week, and we've never found dad just left to his own devices, he's always involved somewhere.
Dad was discharged from hospital on end of life care, but the team have helped him improve massively. We are so happy to have found NW.

Our mom was a unique character who cared for all more than herself. Neville Williams House returned this favour to my mom. They gave a special sould a special space to take her last breath. What they have done with their garden is so lovely and was the perfect space for my mom to be connected to nature

My mom and I were warmly welcomed during our initial visit to Robert Harvey House. The staff were very informative about the support and care they provide, reassuring me that my mom would be welcomed and would remain safe and well cared for.

They took her needs into consideration, and I am pleased

Anita Stone Court proved to be perfect for my mother's needs - wheelchair and mixed dementia. I had to take the difficult decision to find a suitable care home but as soon as I entered and met staff I just knew it would be ideal. Once mom moved in she did find it difficult at first but the expert care
and attention given to her ensured she settled well and started to get involved with the activities on offer. All of the staff - managers, nurses and carers - showed excellent knowledge and support to mom.
Unfortunately mom's health quickly took a turn for the worse and she sadly passed away. The manager, nurses, carers and paramedics were with her but I didn't manage it get there in time. The staff were incredibly attentive to me when I arrived and they all showed the greatest respect and love to mom - even lining up as she was taken by the undertakers. I cannot thank them enough for their kind words of condolence. I would have loved mom to have lived longer in this wonderful home.

My mother was a resident of the home due to her dementia and mobility issues. Initially she kept requesting to leave but the staff were reassuring and up until her death in April she had settled and seemed happy.
Unfortunately she only was at the home for 8 weeks until she passed away age 92. I live
in the south of England and when I visited I was welcomed and the assistant manager spent time with me - advising me of the mums routines, her key workers and showed me her room. I also was in email contact with the manager who I found very helpful and people centred. The care staff also appeared to be involved with the residents and not with each other which I've seen in other establishments.
My mother particularly liked the coffee lounge area where she enjoyed a latte with family who visited. The grounds are also delightful.
My mums last weeks of her life were enhanced by the care she received. Thank you all at Anita Stone.

Our mum was a resident at Robert Harvey House for nearly 9 weeks before she departed us forever. During this period, she was cared for 24/7 by such a dedicated group of people with the utmost respect, dignity, love and care, which goes above and beyond their duty. An equal level of respect was extended
to all the family and visitors any time of day, infectious smiles, made us feel most welcome. Their statement in reception "Our residents do not live in our workspace, we work in their home" are not only mere words on a wall, but a profound living example. Our experience made us feel as if they had adopted our mum, and our mum adopted them as her daughters. On behalf of all family members, I would like to sincerely thank so much all the staff and look upon them as angels in disguise. This has left a lovely experience in all of our hearts and we will tap into it to fill a big void.
