When my first viewing of Robert Harvey took place I knew immediately after being allowed access through the reception doors that this was where I wanted my mum to be. I was with the sisters and as we glanced at each other I knew they too felt the same. Robert Harvey ticked all our boxes. Dementia friendly, nursing care, small enough. Meaning fewer carers and on the ground floor. The tour confirmed our first impressions. Mum has now been at Robert Harvey for four and a half years. She is settled and happy which makes us, her family happy. What I like is the visible commitment to improve. Opinions, suggestions and feedback is sought from residents and their family.

Reply from Anthea Reid, Manager at Robert Harvey House

It means a great deal to us to hear that you knew Robert Harvey House was the right place for your mum from your very first visit. We understand how difficult that decision can be for families, so knowing that you all felt reassured from the moment you walked through our doors is incredibly...

I cannot emphasize enough how happy I am with the care for my mum at Anita Stone Court. It is not that every single detail is always perfect but more importantly the staff are all so genuinely helpful, friendly and kind and if anything is asked for they get onto it immediately. I feel my mum is in really safe hands and I feel very grateful that we found such a loving place for her final chapter.

I visit this home fortnightly within my role and find it to be a welcoming and homely environment where residents really feel at home.
There is a wonderful feel within the home where staff really do care about people as they are there own family.
A visiting choir this week was a fabulous activity where residents engaged in singing and dancing and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

A really lovely place to be!

The love and care shown to my cousin was really appreciated. We were so pleased that we chose Robert Harvey House as it has been a home from home for him, even though he was adamant he didn't want to go into a home. We chose it as we visited a friend here for many years. The manager, care staff and nurse go above and beyond to be helpful.

My husband chose to end his days in Neville Williams House as we had already had a great experience with his mother. Sadly my husband was only there for a week before his days ended. During that period he felt comfortable, supported, valued, taken care of and given an enormous amount of dignity. Of course this meant that I could share these feelings and enjoy that time with him as a devoted wife and soul mate. We shared quality time together and that will always stay with me.

Reply from Amy Beasley, General Manager at Neville Williams House

Thankyou for you lovely review , although brief we are so pleased that you got to spend that quality time with your husband and enjoy the pleasures of relaxing and spending important time together . Thankyou for letting us be part of your husbands journey and we are pleased that although this was a very sad period you felt reassured that your husband was well cared for .

My mother became a resident here some 3 years ago. When she was transferred here at Robert Harvey Care Home, she was close to death after experiencing poor service at her previous care home. Since then my mother has been looked after in a most professional manner from all staff irrespective of their job description. Had it not been for their excellent work my mother would not be alive and will soon be celebrating her 103rd birthday.

The care home is friendly and caring. My husband has been attending day care twice a week since November. He seems settled and happy there.
Everyone is so caring and look after him really well.

The care home organised a valentines lunchtime meal recently. It was lovely and the decorations looked beautiful. Everyone at the home worked hard to make it a success and ensure everyone enjoyed it.

My wife went into the home some weeks ago (the most time we have been separated in 62 years of marriage). The carers in the home really do care and as I visit every day I feel very confident that I am leaving her in the best possible hands. As I usually stay during the lunchtime I cannot believe how wonderful the meals are and how considerate everybody is in helping those who have difficulty in eating.

My Mother was a resident at Neville Williams House from Oct 2024 until Feb 2026 when very sadly she passed away. Mom was on Bluebell dementia unit. She had a lovely room which overlooked the beautiful garden, which we often walked around together. Mom settled fairly quickly onto the unit and the staff welcomed her and treated her with dignity and respect from the very first day she arrived. I was anxious and concerned about how mom would settle , however after the first few weeks mom settled really well and was cared for very well. As a family we visited regularly and we got to know all the staff who were kind and caring to her. Sadly she had a fall 3 weeks ago and was admitted to hospital. She had a very traumanitc time in hospital and we as a family chose for her to return to NW. The care she received in the last 3 weeks of her life was outstanding! All the staff treated her so well as if she was a member of there own family as well as supporting us. THANK YOU TO ALL

My husband has been a resident for nearly 6 months now, I am so glad he is there as all of the staff are fantastic, they always have a smile & say hello, & he is so well looked after. After caring for him myself for 2 1/2 yrs on my own, I now feel more relaxed & back to being his wife & not his carer. I can't recommend Anita Stone Court enough, everything about it is amazing. A big thank you to everyone there.

My friend was in urgent need for a Nursing home and after researching online , speaking to the managers and then visiting the homes I felt 100% comfortable that Neville Williams was the best place .
From the first day the staff showed a full understanding of what was required to look after their new " client ".
The rooms had everything that was needed to care , the facilities for health and wellbeing were excellent.

The complete staff team worked together to make my friends stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.. I cannot thank this team enough.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the whole team including the manager Anthea at the care home for the incredible support they gave me and my dad during a very stressful time. After he left intensive care, I struggled to find somewhere suitable where he could have his own room and the right level of independence whilst still being well looked after. The staff here were so quick to help, fitting us in around their busy schedule and making everything as easy as possible.
The home is spacious, fully equipped, and offers plenty of freedom for residents and visitors, with different areas to relax beyond their rooms. My dad's room is generous, comfortable, and gives him the privacy and dignity he needs. The staff are always present, responsive, and genuinely caring, which has given me so much peace of mind.

I'm truly grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and support. They made a difficult transition so much easier, and I couldn't have asked for a better place for my dad!

Dad moved to the wonderful secure dementia unit at Neville Williams house in early 2025, as a broken hip and his advancing dementia meant he needed more support. From the very first day on Bluebell Walk, he was treated with respect and dignity and made to feel like he belonged there - and we as a family felt welcome. As I got to know the carers, I knew that he was in safe hands. They took the time to listen to us and to get to know how Dad liked to be treated and what was important to him. One carer told me "don't worry, we are his family now" - and that sums it up very well, it does feel like a big family!

Dad had 9 happy months there and clearly felt safe. Aided by the staff, he had a good daily routine, spending lots of time in the lovely bright communal area. Every single member of staff acted with care and compassion. Even in challenging situations, we witnessed only patience and dignified treatment. The end of life care was unbelievably compassionate. The team do an amazing job!
