I could not fault the care my brother had during the 15 months he was in the home. All the staff were considerate and understood my brother's personality. Since my brother's passing both my sister and I have been treated with kindness and consideration.

My personal experience of Neville Williams House (as a friend of a resident) over the last 2 years has been exemplary. The staff in all areas are welcoming, friendly, attentive and caring in all matters. I got to know them over 2 years and was always welcomed with a smile, which matters!. My friend received such wonderful care and attention and became a much loved resident. I would highly recommend Neville Williams House to anyone considering care home services for a family member. Real care delivered with compassion.

A calm environment, the staff are very attentive and efficient but most of all genuinely caring of residents and supportive of their families. The team are well-managed in an orderly fashion. Activities were good. Residents were treated with a high level of respect. It was a most peaceful place for my wife to spend the last months of her life.

My husband has been a resident at Neville Williams House for over 15 months, where he continues to get excellent care. He has been very settled during this time which is due to the patient, friendly care given by those who look after him and in particular those who work closely with him throughout the day and night. Our whole family appreciate the welcoming, friendly warmth shown by all staff members.

We feel a part of the home too and are very happy in the knowledge that when we walk away we are leaving my husband in safe hands.

My husband has been at Neville Williams House for three and a half months. He has been treated with great kindness by the staff, as have I. They are always willing to communicate about him. I particularly appreciate the 'Portal' I can use this on my phone or iPad to see his routines, how well he is eating and drinking and even his mood - all in real-time. This is particularly reassuring on the days that I am unable to visit him.

Neville Williams House is a wonderful care home. My Father has been there for two and a half years. During that time my Father and our family have formed a lovely relationship with all the staff within the home, from the entertainment team, maintenance team, support staff, nursing staff, management, housekeeping and kitchen staff. Nothing is too much trouble and support is available for all of us especially when we have tough days.

My Mother has been at Neville Williams House for almost a year and during that time I have always been delighted with the care that she has received. The staff all know Mum and always address her by name. She is always treated with kindness, dignity and understanding.
I particularly like the open door policy where I can visit at any time. The garden is gorgeous and we are particularly fond of the animals - going into the garden feels like a trip out.
I would like to thank all the staff and management for everything that they do to make Neville Williams House such a welcoming place with such a warm feel.

I was absolutely dreading my dear Mum going into care but I can see that she is in a fabulous place where she is very happy. Thank you, everyone.

My wife has now been a resident of Neville Williams House for 5-years, and I can honestly say that in all of that time (even during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns) that I have never once had a moment of concern for the care and treatment that my wife was receiving. It is never easy moving a loved one into a nursing home, but the family atmosphere which has been created in Neville Williams House makes the whole experience so much easier and less stressful. It is very easy to say that all of the managers, nurses, carers and all of the staff do a wonderful and caring job, but in this case, I think it would be fairer to say that they all go the extra mile that makes this nursing home special. The in-house facilities available to the residents are very good, and the staff are very clever at making lots of activities to entertain the residents, and the food provided in the dining room is excellent.

All the staff at Neville Williams go that extra mile to care for my uncle. It's so good knowing he is in safe hands.

They previously cared for my mom and I was impressed then so had no doubts about entrusting my uncle to their care. Many thanks

These are unusual times. Before Covid I used to travel 100 miles to visit my sister every three weeks. I have been very cautious about visiting but in late March. I and my partner saw my sister at Neville Williams House after a break of two years. I found her well and responsive after her 89th birthday. The staff were welcoming, supportive and positive despite the difficulties of these pandemic times. I was much relieved but knew I could rely on the staff to take excellent care of my dear sister.

The staff are an excellent team, with the happiness and comfort of residents their absolute priority. Always welcoming and friendly, getting back to near-normal after the terrible restrictions all care-homes and residents have had to endure. The staff still take every precaution to maintain health and safety of the residents, who are treated as part of a family.

Catering is excellent, and the gardens with their birds, animals and flowers provide a lovely haven of nature for the residents and relatives to enjoy.

All of the staff, in whatever role, offer very good care to the residents. The home is well run and provides activities and facilities appropriate to the care of all residents. The home is welcoming and supportive of others who attend to the needs of their resident relatives or friends at what is a difficult time in their lives.

While my mother lived at Neville Williams House I experienced nothing but a caring and loving environment, where they had my mothers needs at heart. I could see the staff at every level were well trained and chosen for their caring qualities and friendly manner. They all had a special relationship with their residents making each resident feel it was their home. The food was excellent. We never lost one item of clothing and the home was kept spotless. The gardens, cafe and animals gave someone with dementia somewhere to go. It was well managed and I was kept informed and involved with the decision. We were very lucky to find such a wonderful home for mum during her last very difficult 16 months. Heartfelt thanks from all the family and mum.

An elderly friend, for who I had POA, was in Neville Williams House for terminal care. She was bed bound with dementia so needed a lot of care. i was so impressed with the excellent care she received, treating her with love, care and dignity. As a nurse of 40 years it was some of the very best care I have seen. I was also treated very well and always made welcome.

An elderly friend (with dementia) who was bed-bound after a fall spent her last few days at Neville Williams House. I am immensely impressed with the care given to my friend. All staff (whether nursing, caring or support) delivered very professional care, but it came over as very natural - more like they were caring for a favourite relative in her own home! Staff very quickly learned my friend’s preferences and encouraged her to try things, but allowed her to say no! In short, she was treated as an individual. As a friend, the staff were friendly, professional and supportive. The atmosphere at Neville Williams is very happy - the staff clearly enjoy their work and they are well-trained. This indicates good management and training programmes.

All in all, I would have no hesitation in being cared for at Neville Williams House. I saw many nursing homes and hospices in my working life as a doctor - Neville Williams is as good as any I worked with.

We visited several care homes before a decision was made for Mum and Dad to go to Neville Williams. We visited Neville Williams six times before Mum decided to move and they were great at the home, very patient, realising this was probably one of the biggest decisions Mum would have to make. Dad has dementia/Alzheimers and Mum is physically not good so she could no longer give Dad the care he needed. Perhaps you could have a very good box below as I rarely give an excellent, but everything at the home is better than good.

My mother has been a resident at Neville Williams House for 12 months and I would simply like to let you know what I feel about her care. I really don’t know what I could say about the place to improve it. The staff are friendly and caring, the atmosphere is welcoming and the rooms are well thought out. Best of all though is the food. Before coming into Neville Williams my Mother struggled with her food intake - she was steadily losing weight. But the food at Neville Williams has revitalised her appetite. It’s fresh, nutritious and tasty. Watching her enjoy her fresh vegetable soup, then steadily devour her main course, followed by a fresh-baked pudding covered in cream, warms my heart. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me feel to watch my Mother enjoying her food so much. She is so much stronger than when she first arrived at Neville Williams. Special thanks to the manager for being such a great manager and to the brilliant chef for such wonderful food. Well done.
