Neville Williams House provides nursing care and is located on a quiet road in Selly Park, very near the park itself and a short walk from the Pershore Road. It has its own 12-bed specialist dementia unit, Bluebell Walk.

The team strive to enrich the lives of residents with personalised care, ensuring that every need is met with warmth and dedication. As a charity, every penny of its profits is reinvested into BCOP's nursing homes, enabling them to continually improve, innovate, and provide exceptional care.

The home has three communal lounges, the on-site Forget-Me-Not pub, which can also be reserved for family celebrations, a pet farm, a replica train carriage used for reminiscence therapy, a hairdressing salon and laundry. All rooms are en-suite and several have been refurbished in 2020 to make them more accessible for residents using wheelchairs, creating en-suite wet rooms and repositioning electricity points to be within easy reach.

Activities are designed around the interests of individual residents. Staff ensure residents’ privacy and dignity are respected at all times and support residents to make their own decisions about their care where possible.

Please watch the video to get a taste of the home.

As well as permanent care, BCOP provides short-term and respite places, as well as day care. Get in touch to find out more or have a look at the informative fact sheets on their website.

The moment I walked through the doors of Neville Williams I knew it was where we would want Mum to live. During her four and a half years there, they treated Mum like she was their own family.
I always knew she was in good hands, allowed me to go on holiday with peace of mind knowing she was well
cared for. Many times I would stop off to see Mum at random times, maybe even on my way home after a night out...they were always 100% welcoming of my visits regardless of the time of day. I came to think of all the staff as an extension of my family and always will do. These people go above and beyond and for this, I thank them all for making Mum's last four and a half years of her life so happy and knowing she was loved and cared for.

Neville Williams House simply can't be bettered. Complete care package meant mum was happy and relaxed throughout her time there. Every single member of staff ensured a jolly happy mum whose visitors and family were welcomed no matter when they called.
It has a garden, a petting farm and a pub and
open arms to all. Highly recommended - in fact I don't think you'll find better anywhere.

Has a welcoming feel. The staff are genuinely caring and thoughtful. A good effort is made at meal times and the food well presented.

I would like to see Mum making more use of the wonderful garden and out walking each day in the fresh air. It's great to have the pub to sit with Mum and have a private

space.

We recently had to make the difficult decision to place Mum into residential care. An awful dilemma for many families. Mum is 88 and has dementia and sight loss.
When we heard of the wonderful work that Neville Williams House are doing in the care of dementia patients it made our decision a lot easier.
All the staff from management to domestic staff are exceptionally kind and compassionate. What a tremendous relief to know that our beloved Mum is being cared for by kind hands.
The complex is immaculate. The rooms are spotless and being allowed to bring in Mum's personal belongings made it a familiar comfort zone for her to enter.
We have been overwhelmed by the ethos behind the care. A petting farm, a sweet shop, hair salon ... endless activities and now the addition of a functioning bar!!!
We have wept a million tears during the past few months. Like many families, we were overcome with guilt and sadness. The staff have given us the opportunity to smile again. Thank you!

My father is currently in care with you and I have always been pleased with both the level of care and the openness of the carers to be able to discuss his condition and what is best for him.

Thank you for doing a professional job in difficult circumstances.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.731)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.731) out of 10 for Neville Williams House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.781 for Neville Williams House is calculated as follows: ( (171 Excellents x 5) + (34 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 210 Ratings = 4.781
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Neville Williams House is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
