Ash Lodge Care Home with Nursing

Words can’t describe how amazing Ash Lodge have been. My mum had only a few months there but she was looked after in the most special way. They are all fantastic and so caring. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I love them all.

My husband has been very lovingly cared for by the kindest team of carers and nurses. Nothing was ever too much trouble even when his dementia behaviour was challenging. Dignity and care and the greatest kindness always. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All of you will be remembered with love.

Mom was only at Ash Lodge a short time before sadly passing away, but in that time she was really well looked after. She seemed happy and was very comfortable. The staff were so caring and kind, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I just wished we had gotten mom into here much sooner. If you are looking for a good home then I would really recommend this one.

Our friend is a resident at Ash Lodge and has been there for several months. She is very happy there and speaks highly of the staff and the care they provide. We last visited in July and can see a real improvement in her mobility and general demeanour since that time. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

I visit my sister-in-law on a regular basis (usually once every week). As a result of this, many of the staff know me and greet me by name. I have found the staff without exception to be pleasant, helpful, and patient, also very professional.

Most staff are very friendly and caring. My friend receives good care and is happy. She has been in a few homes and thinks this is the best. The staff regularly check in with her to check she is ok. There are lots of activities for the residents. The home has worked well to keep the residents safe during the pandemic.

During covid, it was an extremely difficult time for all. My mum settled in well, we were kept up to date with all the regulations. Staff set up an ipad on which we could see and talk to mum. The Nursing home is very friendly and helpful. We as a family would recommend this care provider to friends and family as they are very aware of every resident's circumstances.

My wife didn't know what to expect on being admitted to Ash Lodge. She cannot find words to say her thanks. Everything that was done for my wife was totally amazing in every way. The treatment she received medically to the treatment she received from each and every member of staff, has been exceptionally good. Something we will never forget. Thank you to each and every person.

In my experience, the care, love, and treatment with dignity that my mom has received during her stay has been outstanding. The support given to both myself and mom has been wonderful, especially during the more trying of times. It’s very much appreciated. The staff and management are all so lovely and an extension of our family. Mom has blossomed during being there and all of her needs are met. She is the very best she can be now. As a daughter, I can feel sure that mom is in the best place for all of her needs and it gives me the peace of mind and reassurance that she is in the safest of hands. My mam was admitted in September 2020 following a stroke I have nothing but praise for the staff. Especially the way they have cared for patients throughout this pandemic. I have found them to be kind, caring and considerate in the way they take care of my mam. They are very friendly and always have a smile and kind word and reassurance for me, I'm kept up to date with everything including my mam and her care. She seems happy and well settled and that makes me feel better and reassured too. This home was recommended to me and I'm glad I chose this for my mam.

My mom is taken care of very well. The staff are friendly and caring. I know mom can be difficult at times, but she receives the same high standard of care at all times and I can feel that she is safe. Although it has been hard for me to choose to put Mom into care, and the isolation from Mom during the pandemic, staff have always contacted me with any health issues. I recommend this care home.

Everyone I have spoken to are always pleasant and always respectful to Dad.

My wife went into Ash Lodge due to me not being able to look after her as I needed respite. The staff were great and looked after her so well that she no longer needed enemas daily. Her cognition was dramatically increased and so did her reading and writing. Although she did not have any dementia or other type of illness she had suffered from a bad hip replacement and a liver problem of which the staff were aware of. The only thing she and I noticed was that some of the other residents were extremely noisy due to Dementia and she did complain of lack of sleep.

Very professional and caring care of my mother. Her last two years were, I’m sure, content for her. I had the utmost confidence that she was well looked after. Thank you. Every confidence in recommending.

I'm generally very satisfied. I've had some problems with the TV/radio set (resolved now). I enjoy a particularly good relationship with one carer (though it may be one-way, as I can be very annoying). The food could be better, at least for my tastes. It's a pity the carers seem almost always to be under pressure - though that's not their fault.

Dad was cared for in Ash Lodge for a few weeks before he passed away. Because of the COVID restrictions I was only able to visit him once but was impressed with the care given to dad and the measures taken to keep the residents safe. He seemed very happy and contented. The staff were very friendly and kept us informed of any issues relating to his care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to others.

Wonderful place. I couldn't wish for my Mom to be in a nicer home. Nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff. The room is excellent and clean. The whole care home is clean and smells of disinfectant. I would recommend it to anybody. It's a place I would go into myself. The staff are all very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. My mom was end of life and was only in the home for two weeks, but we were made so welcome and looked after. The home is spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble. If you are looking for a nursing home for a loved one, please go and visit Ash Lodge you will not be disappointed and I can assure you will be given a warm welcome and your loved one will be well looked after.

My Mom has been in Ash Lodge Nursing Home since November 2019. Had a look round Ash Lodge and we knew that Mom would be looked after 100%. The staff are all so friendly and always keep me updated with Mom's condition. Everywhere is spotless I know we have chosen the very best care home/nursing home for our Mom.

I cannot put into words how grateful we all are to Ash Lodge. The care, attention and, above all else, the love that was shown to my aunt anyone would find nigh on impossible to be better never mind equal. The sensitivity and dignity that all members of staff delivered to my aunt was superb. My aunt was given 4 weeks to live on her discharge from Hospital in July 2019. Due to the care she received she was able to live comfortably until the 3rd of Feb when she passed away painlessly. My aunt had no home to start her final journey from and we are so grateful that she can start that journey from Ash Lodge. Finally to you all a heartfelt thanks.
