Lyndon Hall staff are always friendly and helpful, the residents are well cared for, not only in the care but also in activities they are encouraged to do.

Whilst the carers do their best, I find that there are residents on Rose wing that need more care/attention (one to one). This takes time off the other residents. Some are too volatile to be left unattended (not enough staff to cope). Refreshment facilities poor at times (no cups). Residents can be left unattended in the lounge. Staff do their best and are always pleasant but not enough at times, leaving not enough time to care properly. Management seem to pay more attention to unnecessary things (decorations etc), not at what really will matter, like activities where residents can get involved on a regular basis

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Care Advisor at Lyndon Hall Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, there are three care staff on Rose Unit to support 19 Residents. The activity programme is under review at the moment to ensure we offer stimulating activities. The care staff have time to play a full part in this too in encouraging more activity in the unit....

My mother who was in the home for nearly 2 years and who passed recently was 95. I myself can only speak very highly of this home, my mother was very well looked after. The staff were very caring and looked after her very well. The staff on the 'Poppy' unit were one of the best.

The management of our sister was outstanding, nursing and medical care was provided by compassionate staff, her carers more than people who helped they were her friends. When visiting our sister you were always greeted with friendly faces and a friendly smile. The food was very good and served in brilliant dining rooms. The building was constantly being kept cleaned to a high standard. Very secure and safe care.

Mum has been here for 4 weeks and has settled in well, joining in with all the activities provided. The staff seem very competent and provide mum with all her care needs. I'd be very happy to recommend Lyndon Hall to family and friends.

My mother came into Lyndon Hall on the 25/5/16. All of the family have been very happy with the care and attention mom has received. The staff have been excellent always with a smile on there face nothing to much trouble. She had her 93rd birthday on the 18th June the home did the catering and family members were able to come and celebrate with her. All of the family have seen what an excellent home this is.

My uncle is a resident in the care home where I find the care of the people who work in the home to be excellent. I always get a good welcome and a nice cup of tea when I visit, I think the residents are well looked after.

My mum has been a resident for two years since January 2014. Although I have raised a few concerns regarding my mums deterioration I have found management and care staff very supportive and helpful. I have been kept informed at all times. Any concerns I raise are addressed in a professional/supportive and caring manor. Activities have been few but recently a new appointment has been made and timetables and outings arranged so think this will improve.
