Thank you for your kind comments overall regarding the Home and staff. We are working towards improving the activities and hope to have a full programme of events each month for residents and families to take part in. If you have any suggestions, we would be happy to hear them. We do have to complete records for all residents throughout the day, but this should be completed in real time to ensure that staff have plenty of time to spend with the Residents. I am sorry that you have not found this to be the case. I will ensure that the staff take this on board and work towards more productive time management.

Thank you for your comments. We are working on the communication with Residents, relatives and staff to ensure that everyone connected to Lyndon Hall, know what’s happening and what is planned for the future. Activities is a high priority, and I am personally working with the Activities Coordinator, to plan meaningful, positive activities for all Residents. I agree that when the weather is fine, we should have more outside activities and we are looking to build a herb garden for the Residents to manage and enjoy. We are having regular relatives meetings, to enable myself and my team ensure that communication between us and our Resident’s families is optimised.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am pleased that you have seen an improvement in the Home and will ensure that this continues over the coming months. I will discuss with the Chef the option of having fruit and salad available for Residents at tea time, in addition to the salad option which is always available at lunchtime. We are constantly recruiting staff to ensure continuity for Residents and stability within the Home.

We are glad to hear that you feel happier than you did with the care provided here at Lyndon Hall. Thank you for your feedback. Currently, there are three care staff on Rose Unit to support 19 Residents. The activity programme is under review at the moment to ensure we offer stimulating activities. The care staff have time to play a full part in this too in encouraging more activity in the unit. Cups are stored in the kitchenette area, however, if these supplies run low staff can ensure they get replenished.
