My mom is treated with dignity. I cannot fault any of the staff or management they are friendly and pleasant, the management are very approachable and my mom's needs are always put first. I know my mom is being looked after on days when I cannot go to see her, I know my mom is safe at all times. I cannot praise the nursing home enough for all they do for my mom. I would recommend the nursing home to anyone who is looking for one for a relative.
Thank you for your kind remarks, I will be sure to pass your comments on to the rest of the team.
I am very pleased with how my nan is being looked after. The staff are excellent at keeping you in the loop. They are very welcoming. My nan has been getting on better with the support and assistance from home. Would recommend it to friends and family. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words, I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the rest of the team at Woodgreen Nursing Home.
My Mom lived here for three years. During this time she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Always kept clean and healthy. The staff were always friendly and welcomed at all times, especially during Mom's last few days of life. The staff went above and beyond to support Mom and our family. I think that they have a genuine passion for care and it is not just a job. The level of care shown was a credit to all staff from cleaners, nurses and office staff. The last act of compassion was to make sure Mom's room look like home and to dress her in her own clothes. This home has a small family unit ethos and is a credit to the manager in charge. A massive thank you from her son.
Thank you for such a kind acknowledgement during what must have been a difficult time for you and all the family. We have all felt truly honoured to have been part of your family at this time. Sending our best wishes to you and all the extended family.
My mom was a resident at Woodgreen Nursing Home for almost three years. In that time she was always treated with care, respect and her dignity was always upheld. She was always clean and her personal hygiene needs met. During the last two weeks of Mom's life both Mom and us as a family were looked after impeccably, all the staff and management go above and beyond for its residents.

My mother had been a resident for nearly three years when she passed in February 2023. She had excellent care and attention paid to her. She was always clean and presentable and her bed and room were exceptionally clean. During her last week we as a family were by her side day and night. The carers and management couldn't do enough for us. They fed us, made us endless drinks and when she finally passed they showed compassion and respect and looked after us as a family. I cannot praise this nursing home enough, they go above and beyond to make sure residents and families are comfortable in their home. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of finding a home for their loved one. Well done Woodgreen Nursing Home and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate your comments and this will be mentioned to all the staff. I would like to send my deepest condolences at this sad time and once again thank you for this review.
Mom was a resident at Woodgreen for approx two years before she passed away in June 2022. The Love and care mom and we received from the team were outstanding. They were always there at the end of the phone helping and supporting us with difficulties we were experiencing from 3rd parties. Mom received outstanding care and not once did she nor us complain about the way she was cared for. Mom was difficult at times due to her dementia but the team persevered with her and I cannot thank you all enough for your support whilst she was in your care even at the end when we lost mom the compassion we received was outstanding. I recommend this home to anyone who is thinking of support for family members.
Thank you for your kind review. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the rest of the team.
The home is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and patient, they are also very attentive and caring. I would recommend this home.
Thank you for your review. I will pass your kind comments on to the team here at Woodgreen Nursing Home.
Mom was well cared for and clean. Offered lots of choice of food. Staff extremely patient and understanding. Nurses kept us well informed and were very caring.
Thank you for your kind remarks, I will pass this on to all the care staff here. Once again thank you.
We as a family have had a very difficult few months which meant our mom having to go in Woodgreen Nursing Home to give her and her family some respite and get her back on her feet. The staff were amazing and the communication with us was amazing. They really worked well with Mom and tried their best to get her back to her self but unfortunately, she couldn’t get the strength back to get better. She ended up palliative from no fault of the home or staff and they couldn’t have been kinder to us as a family in her last days. They went above and beyond and we can’t be more grateful for the care and professionalism they showed our dear mom and us as a family. We thank them all dearly.
Dear Joanne, thank you for your kind remarks. Although your mom was not with us long she was certainly part of the Woodgreen family. Wishing you all the best to you and your extended family at this difficult time. If we can assist in any further matters please get in touch. Take care.
My mom loves it, she always tells us the staff are soo nice, food is good, doesn’t have anything bad to say about them. Wish we could just go there and visit instead of making appointments all the time, I’m one of eight siblings, so hard to see Mom whenever we want to.
My 98-year-old Mom was in a residential care home when she contracted Covid in January 2021. She spent 3-weeks in hospital, and to everyone’s surprise, she did survive. As she now needed nursing care, she was discharged to Woodgreen Nursing Home. She was unable to return to her previous home due to the amount of care she needed. We knew nothing at all about Woodgreen, and at that time, were unable to visit to assess the home for ourselves. The staff were amazing, sending photos of Mom and giving us regular updates. Mom was so poorly that she was not expected to recover, but thanks to the excellent care from the staff at Woodgreen, she rallied and regained some of her cheeky mojo. Sadly Mom passed away on July 4th, but we had the knowledge that she was very well looked after both physically and emotionally during the last few months of her life. I can recommend Woodgreen without reservation, the manager and his team do a wonderful job. Thank you for looking after Mom when we couldn’t.
It has been difficult to visit my family member for the past year due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. However, the team at Woodgreen, management, and staff have only made this difficult time easier. I have been able to contact the home using various platforms such as skype, facetime, etc., and even when connections have been difficult a phone call has always been facilitated. The general manager is happy to assist with whatever queries I may have and if he is unsure of an answer he will always get back at some point. Overall my experience with the home has been nothing but perfect. Would I recommend this home? The answer is yes, yes, yes!!
Thank you for your comments. I will certainly be passing your kind remarks on to the team here at Woodgreen.
We, as a family, cannot thank Woodgreen Nursing home enough as they have been so dignified while Mom was living with them. The last few days of Mom’s life were great, they even looked after my brother and I while we were at Mom's bedside. Every now and then while we were there, they would ask if we were okay or if we needed anything, like refreshments. Also, they'd come in to see Mom and check her like she was one of their own family which was nice and you could tell it was genuinely sincere, from the cleaners to the managers, who came to see Mom. They kept in constant contact with us, like we were with them, any problems they would ring us. I put “don’t know” on the value for money because it was funded so we didn’t have any dealings with that side.
Thank you Scott for your very kind review of our home. My team and I only want the very best for our residents. Your family is our family, so your lovely review will help future families choose our home also.
Since my mother-in-law was admitted into Woodgreen, I have nothing by praise for the staff. The care and consideration are outstanding. The staff and management are always cheerful, friendly and helpful, giving the best possible love and care to residents. The atmosphere is very homely. I think Woodgreen have a wonderful team - so glad we found this place. Well done!
Thank you for your review. We always appreciate receiving such positive reviews, knowing that the care we provide is the best care possible. It was a please to look after your mother-in-law and she is dearly missed here at Woodgreen Nursing Home.
Mom has been a resident for just a few months but has been made so welcome. She has been very well cared for by an amazing team of carers and management. The staff have been so kind and caring, and I know my mom has been so well looked after, especially through these difficult past few months of the Covid pandemic. Well done to the Woodgreen team for their support and utmost care.

Have been at Woodgreen for respite for 2weeks, normally go to their sister home, but unfortunately was full for the weeks, which was requested. When arriving the staff were kind, introduced me to the manager, and asked about my needs and what like and dislike. Had a brief stay in a room due to awaiting COVID result. The staff treated me with respect, and nothing was to0 much hassle for them.
Thank you for your review. On behalf of the team and myself, I would like to say thank you for your kind remarks. It’s been a pleasure to have you. Look forward to welcoming you back.
From the time you entered the front door you where made welcome and the care and devotion shown by carers and staff were fantastic. As a visitor, I was shown total respect and consideration and was treated like a resident. Carers were always there to go the extra mile. The home is always clean and tidy and well looked. My wife was well looked after and treated with great respect and we were both happy for her to be a resident there. I would recommend the Woodgreen Nursing Home to anyone.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to be involved in your wife's care and she is deeply missed here at Woodgreen Nursing Home. Please feel free to come to visit us at any time, we look forward to welcoming you back to the home.
Thank you to you and your amazing staff for always going above and beyond in the care of my mother; a 91-year-old teenager who is with you for palliative care. My mother's every physical care need is met also the carers spend time chatting to her. She says she feels "part of the Woodgreen Nursing Home family". My mother is happy and content.
Thank you for your review; I will pass on your kind remarks to all of the 'Woodgreen family'.
9/10 for most things. The staff look after me well. It's not home but it's homely enough.
I enjoy living at Woodgreen and always feel supported. The staff are friendly and always happy to spend time and chat with me.
