Woodgreen Nursing Home

Woodgreen offers a wonderful experience to its residents; there’s always something to keep the resident's spirits up either on trips out or entertainment. The staff are kind, caring and considerate of the needs of everyone, be it residents or family of residents. I would strongly recommend Woodgreen to anyone needing help; they treat my mom as though she’s family.

I would recommend this nursing home to anyone. I am very happy here and well looked after. Plenty of opportunity for games and exercise (if you can do it). I consider the home excellent, clean, beds, rooms, chairs, tables everything.

This home not only cares for all my mother's needs but supports us as a family. It has a home from home approach with the additional benefits of being able to cater for your needs should your loved one's care needs change. The facilities provided are excellent along with experienced nursing, managerial, catering, entertainment, activities, carers and cleaning staff. Without them the outlook for my mother would be quite different.

My mother-in-law came to Woodgreen Nursing Home from the 13th September till 5th December 2019. The care she received was extremely good. Staff very helpful, food was very good.

The home is very welcoming with its lounges, coffee bar, bar and related games options and a hairdressing facility. Mum's room is lovely with French windows overlooking the well-maintained garden. Indeed residents are encouraged to help maintain this facility with gardening activities should they choose.

Placing our Dad into a nursing home was a very difficult decision to make and we were so glad we chose Wood Green Nursing Home. It was very reassuring to us all to know how much he was cared for and loved by all the staff. Dad didn't want to end his days in hospital and we were able to get Dad back home to Wood Green, where the staff were so kind and caring, not just to Dad but to all of us too. We can never thank everyone enough for what they did. You will all hold a special place in our hearts always.

My Mother stayed at Woodgreen Nursing Home from December-February 2019 (7 weeks) after a fall and breaking her leg. As she is 91 she was unable to manage at home whilst in a plaster cast. The treatment (care) she received was excellent - the staff were all wonderfully attentive and caring and my Mam is all ready to be a resident when the time comes. Food was beautifully cooked and lovely presentation. No faults at all. Thank everyone.

This home has so much love and care to give. I have commented previously but need to say even though my mom is stubborn one new recruit is a breath of fresh air.

The home is now our extended family. On behalf of my mom with terminal cancer and my father (not enough text for his issues) and me, I cannot thank the manager and her team enough.

My dad was transferred to Woodgreen from hospital for end of life care. At first I was a bit apprehensive as the CQC report said it needed improvement however how wrong are they. From the moment my dad arrived he was cared for with the utmost dignity, washed, shaved, fed and turned to alleviate pressure sores regularly. All staff treated him like a human being, not just a person needing care. When my dad took a turn for the worse, I was informed straight away and everything that they were going to do was explained to me. Unfortunately he passed away but I had great comfort in knowing that although I was not there, the carer's stayed with him so he was not alone. I can't thank everyone enough for their kindness. I just wished he could have had longer there. Any one thinking of sending a loved one here PLEASE PLEASE read this review you will not be disappointed with the care.

After the experience elsewhere it was reassuring to have staff who talked to each other and who knew the people in their care. We can't thank them enough for the care she received in her short time at Woodgreen.

Both of my Grandparents were admitted to Wood Green for end of life care in July 2015. As a family we were very nervous about leaving them solely in someone else's care and were apprehensive when we arrived at the home after reading the cqc report saying it required improvement. From the moment we walked in the staff were very attentive and friendly putting us at ease immediately, the genuine down to earth environment of the home and its staff gives a lovely home from home atmosphere, they were treated with the utmost respect and dignity at all times and the staff tried so hard to encourage them when they weren't in the mood and they were kept so clean. My Grandparents were very happy at the home and our only regret is that they only spent a short time here, but during that time the home made sure that the end to their lives was comfortable and peaceful, nothing was too much trouble and we will be forever grateful .
