I feel that I am well looked after, well fed and people care and that is a good thing in this day and age. I realise that under the circumstances, this is the best place I could be. I know that my children have peace of mind now because they know I'm safe and well cared for.

My husband has been warm and comfortable. Night shift staff are wonderful. Response from carers in the day is not as fast. Food very good.

This care home has looked after my Mum for the last nine months with all the care, safety and security I would expect from a good Home, The rooms are clean and well maintained. The caring staff are great and very helpful, Mum entered the home for end of life care and she is still there today with the best care you could wish for. Yes, I would say a very well run home.

Overall Experience

As soon as you walk into Ardenlea Court Care Home, you are warmly greeted by their receptionist. It is a 'busy' Nursing home. The nursing staff/carers are dedicated to looking after their residents, and to me, they give 100%. My father's room is always clean and tidy. My fathers enjoys his cooked breakfast, and hot meals every day. The activities co-ordinator is warm and friendly to all residents and their families, plenty of activities to join in. My father looks forward to the PAT dog that visits weekly.

It is difficult when you are faced with the task of finding a home for your loved one, and the staff at Ardenlea Court Care Home make that road a little bit easier to go along.

Natasha Walmsley Job Title: Home Manager
Natasha Walmsley

I have been a qualified nurse since 2009 and my previous experience has been in the hospital settings including A&E, respiratory conditions and admission prevention in the community.

It was during my time working in the community I had the exposure to care homes and loved the atmosphere, long term care that is delivered to the residents and getting to know all of them personally.

I really enjoy working here with this team as we deliver amazing person-centred care to our residents and their family.

I am married and have a son and a dog, in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks and being outside.

I like my profession as I enjoy taking care of people and I like Ardenlea Court as it has a real family atmosphere.

My hobbies outside work are playing guitar, painting and I also like to take part in voluntary work with children.

I have worked as a Care Assistant at Bupa since 2010.

Previous to Bupa I worked as a nurse in a polish ophthalmological hospital.

I like helping and taking care of people at Ardenlea Court.

Outside of work I am married with two children. I like reading and watching TV.

Maisie Buckley Job Title: Senior Activity Coordinator Joined: 2019
Maisie Buckley

I like my role as I can use my own personal strengths every day to help residents. I am creative and empathetic which enables me to plan fun and engaging activities which enhance the lives of our residents. I leave work each day and feel that I’ve had a positive impact on at least a few residents that day. This and the lovely feedback we get from residents and relatives makes my job so rewarding.

I like Ardenlea Court in particular as Nirmal is a brilliantly supportive and fun colleague, and all team members help to support activities where needed. This creates a great working atmosphere in the home.

Outside of work, I am a huge football fan, and supporter of Liverpool FC, so watching football is my favourite hobby. I am also a big animal lover, I love cats and dogs equally but hope to adopt a rescue dog with my husband in the near future.

Previously I worked in retail for 3 years, which I loved as I got to meet loads of different people, but wanted a career change and decided I would like to be more involved with the social care industry as I like helping people, so when I got the receptionist role here at Ardenlea Court it meant so much to me.

I love being a receptionist and working at Ardenlea Court as I get to greet/meet visitors and different types of staff as the first point of call.

I also really enjoy helping the residents and staff by brightening up their day to day life by making them smile.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family, shopping and travelling.
