While only in Ash Grange for a short time receiving palliative care, the staff were helpful, pleasant and considerate to all Mom's needs and treated her with dignity. The room was always clean and tidy and the staff kept making sure that all her needs were met. Any queries or questions we had were answered by the staff and we were made to feel welcome whenever we attended.
My experience is good. A few things that could do with improvement is attending to resident's buzzer when residents need help. Answering front door quicker or giving resident's family code to door. Staff helpful and pleasant.
Thank you for your kind words we are pleased that your experience of the home is good and that you feel the staff are helpful and pleasant. We have discussed the call bell response times with the staff and as a result, we have increased our monitoring checks of the response times. Unfortunately, we...
Ash Grange has a very friendly atmosphere and the care is good. If you have any issues, they do their best to put them right. It has recently been refurbished and it is like home from home. My husband has been here 4 years and seems very content.
Dad has been at Ash Grange now for 2 1/2 years, and apart from a few niggles, which have easily been solved, his care has been second to none.
All staff are friendly and very helpful in all aspects of Dad's care.
Nurses are excellent, they seem on top of their jobs, and any queries regarding issues with Dad are quickly dealt with.
This home is friendly, is clean and the care is good. the food is quite good. The home is very bright and cheerful. My dad seems very content.
My experience as a resident is good.
Our experience at Ash Grange has been: very good care, excellent staff, care and compassion at each time.
Nothing seems too much trouble, even the slightest concern is dealt with efficiently.
All the staff are very good to me, they take care of all my needs. I'm really happy living here. I've got a lovely bedroom with a view to the back garden.
Ash Grange is a very good home. On the 15th of March, I've been here for fourteen years I've had lots of happy years living here, everyone who works here is brilliant, the staff attend to all my needs. I've made many friends throughout my years here and hope to meet many more.
Coming to this home my first impression was that it's a lovely maintained care home. The staff are very polite and helpful. Hygiene was good, very clean and fresh.
I am happy in Ash Grange and have answered the questions myself. I love the food and doing exercises.
My mother in law is very poorly and spends all her time in bed so is very reliant on the staff. Since being in Ash Grange Care Home, she has been shown a great deal of care and attention and treated with dignity. She is in a lot of pain but has been treated very well medically as well. We are very happy with the service to date, the home is very well organised and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very satisfied with the care my mom has received whilst being at this care home. The staff show they care and do their best for my mom. They are always there to listen to any concerns we have regarding my mom's health and answer any questions we have regarding her.
Always pleasing when entering the home. The staff are very considerate always very helpful. Excellent standard of care. Well informed of any problems.
Mums move in all seems well at the moment, happy with the service.
The staff here are excellent and very caring. They were very considerate to our family as well and caring to my sister who needed more support. Nothing was too much trouble.
Myself and my daughter are extremely pleased with the care my wife receives. She is well looked after, kept clean and always presentable. Treated with dignity and respect. The carers and nurses do not hesitate to contact me should there be any issues or problems. My wife's room is clean, tidy and comfortable.
My mother was admitted to Ash Grange Care Home at the end of April 2016 following a hospital admission for a broken pelvis. The care she received there from all the staff and management team was outstanding I couldn't wish for better care for her. She was transferred on 12th October to another home on a permanent placement. The staff, mam and I were all upset at her leaving Ash Grange care Home.
There should be more attention to the needs of the residents upstairs and down.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review.
I have noted your comments which you have made “There should be more attention to the needs of the residents upstairs and down".

My mother-in-law was only in this nursing home for 13 days before she sadly passed away. But the kindness and compassion, also the understanding that was shown to her and to us as a family was unconditional. This applies to all the staff that worked there from the manager, nursery staff, carers, cleaners, catering and maintenance, and for this we are truly grateful. We as a family want to say thank you to you all from the bottom of our hearts. x

As a Registered Nurse, Ure has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
She extends a caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She said:
“I believe in giving wholesome care to residents because when they are in our care, we must be dedicated to every aspect of their needs. We are able to get them involved and help them relive some of their cherished memories and make them feel part of our community. It’s like being part of a community: making a positive impact on the general well-being of people by being caring, treating them with respect and kindness, and being involved in their lives.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ure remarked:
“Working with the elderly and caring for them in their final days is very special. I enjoy learning about the lives of our residents and am always pleased to reminisce with them and their loved ones and get a glimpse into their lives before their time with us at Ash Grange.
Ure feels she has achieved a lot during her career, with her proudest achievement being her career progression from an internationally trained pre-registered nurse in September 2022 to becoming a registered home manager in October 2023. She also achieved a First-Class degree at the University of Derby whilst also working full-time.
