In these unprecedented times it’s comforting to know that our mom is being well cared for. The staff at Ash Grange are doing the best they can in a difficult situation keeping our loved ones safe and well. Myself and my brother want to thank all the staff for their hard work.
Residents are very well cared for. My Uncle is happy here.
From my initial visit, I was very impressed by the caring and dignified attitude of every member of staff. My mother has settled into her new home extremely well. Her room is excellent, all staff caring and attentive. All of the family are delighted with everything here.
On entering the premises the greeting was the most friendliest I'd encountered to do with care homes. Further on the continuous help and escort along my journey was refreshing taking in a beautiful friendly, atmospheric warm surrounding, to the departure of my visit. A nice home, helpful throughout and a pleasure to visit.
I had to find a nursing home for my mom who had just had a stroke. The help I had from the initial inspection to arranging a room was impressive. The room was reserved while we sorted out mom's needs re discharge from hospital. All details were explained and the process went very smoothly. Mom's care has been excellent which helped us at a difficult time.
Thank you.
Firstly the home is very clean, airy and welcoming. The staff are helpful and polite and always willing to assist. Yes we would recommend this home.
My mum has been a resident at Ash Grange for about six months. In that time she has always been treated with care and dignity. The staff go out of their way to ensure she is well cared for. She enjoys her food and says the meals are wonderful. Ash Grange is ideal for her and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you.
After moving my mum into Ash Grange in Feb 2019, everything I've seen so far has been up to my standard.
My dad was admitted from the hospital at the beginning of June. Home has a very welcoming feel. Nice and bright furnishings, very clean and tidy. Staff are lovely and friendly. I feel dad is being well looked after.
It is most important to thank people for what they have done and this I do gladly. Please keep it going. Can't wait to see the improvements which I know are going to come!
My grandmother has been in Ash Grange for nearly a year now and cannot complain about a single thing. The home always looks fresh and clean. My grandmother always looks respectable, the carers are really pleasant. There are activities going on all the time, whether or not my nanna understands what's going on she is always made welcome and encouraged to join in. The meal times there are amazing and always food and snacks to hand.
Mother seems to be well cared for on the whole her needs are met. Celebrated D-day with mum, had a nice lunch.
My mum is very comfortable and seems happy in her environment.
Very friendly, warm and inviting, staff always happy to help. The room is clean and tidy and we are allowed to make it homely with personal items. Very happy.
Friendly, clean, warm home. Really pleased with the care my mother is getting.
The overall level of care for my father has remained good but there has been far too many changes in staff which unsettles my father and at times, staff numbers do not seem adequate leading to periods of untidiness which were not present before an inspection. Some deterioration in standards.
I came to visit my friend. I found the staff were very friendly, hard working. The home is comfortable and nice and clean.
I can't find any complaints. My aunt is very happy. She is well looked after.
It is my belief that my sister would not be with us now if it was not for the care and attention shown by the staff.
Thank you each and every one of you.

Meet the Team (1)

As a Registered Nurse, Ure has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
She extends a caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She said:
“I believe in giving wholesome care to residents because when they are in our care, we must be dedicated to every aspect of their needs. We are able to get them involved and help them relive some of their cherished memories and make them feel part of our community. It’s like being part of a community: making a positive impact on the general well-being of people by being caring, treating them with respect and kindness, and being involved in their lives.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ure remarked:
“Working with the elderly and caring for them in their final days is very special. I enjoy learning about the lives of our residents and am always pleased to reminisce with them and their loved ones and get a glimpse into their lives before their time with us at Ash Grange.
Ure feels she has achieved a lot during her career, with her proudest achievement being her career progression from an internationally trained pre-registered nurse in September 2022 to becoming a registered home manager in October 2023. She also achieved a First-Class degree at the University of Derby whilst also working full-time.
