Ash Grange is a lovely care home and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere for a loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are privileged to have cared for your uncle and supported his loved ones.
She was sad to leave when she moved nearer to home.
Thank you Ash Grange for taking good care of her.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are privileged to have cared for your mom while she was with us.
We look forward to our next visit.
Mum went into the home just over 2 years ago and was made to feel welcome. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. She was happy there and always looked after. When visiting her, the staff had always got time to speak to us and tell us about what she had been doing. The food was always well presented, and plenty of drinks. When she passed away, we were with her, and the staff and management were very helpful and respectful.
God bless you all.
On Sunday 4th we was 20min outside trying to get in finely got in to see mom crying with her harm bleeding it took them at lest 30 min too come and see her this place is a JOKE the care is VERY Poor the staff are a joke all go on brake at the same time.
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. At HC-One, we strive to deliver kind care every day to our residents and their families. We are sorry to hear of your experience and are grateful to you for letting us know about your concerns....
We have been through 3 care homes, and by far the experience at Ash Grange was the best. The staff were caring and considerate of my husband's needs. The kitchen staff made sure my husband had religiously and culturally appropriate meals, and they made it to his taste. The housekeeping staff were equally friendly and supportive. Not to forget the maintenance staff who were ever so helpful and always smiling. Finally, the management and nursing staff were always responding to my requests with regard to my husband's care. I would trust them 100%.
Reception were always helpful and listened. Management have been good to us. Everyone that works here are kind and caring towards residents and family.
Fabulous, lovely people.
Having spent almost 3 months at Ash Grove Care Home, I have nothing but praise for the hard-working staff members who are always kind, cheerful and ready to help and encourage residents, especially those who need extra assistance. There is always a happy atmosphere (which is noted by visitors, who are always made welcome), and many activities are organised for each day of the month. A good choice of food is provided too. I appreciate all the care and kindness I have received from everyone here during my stay.
I would like to thank all of the staff at Ash Grange for taking care of my mother so well during her time with you but most of all for the care and respect she was given when she passed. I cannot thank you all enough for being so lovely to mum and to me at this very difficult time. The receptionist, the carers and nurses were really lovely and a real credit to the home.
My mother was a resident for almost two years. She was in her late 90's and received the best of care, particularly near her time of passing. My wife and I were welcomed and assisted by the friendly staff.
The staff, management and team at Ash Grange Care Home have been wonderful throughout Mum's stay. Testament to their genuinely caring nature is how Mum quickly came to consider the majority here as friends. As a son, knowing Mum felt that way made me feel exactly as if I had done the right thing by choosing Ash Grange.
We have had an excellent experience at Ash Grange Care Home and I recommend it to everyone. From managers, nurses and carers and everyone at Ash Grange is lovely and super good. I thank all the staff at Ash Grange for your support and care toward my dad. God bless you all.
My wife recently spent five weeks at Ash Grange and was very happy there. Both my wife and myself were treated with great respect and began to feel part of a 'family'. All the staff were very friendly and competent. The food and drinks were excellent.
The care home has been very supportive with the needs of my uncle. The staff have always been welcoming to any visiting family and friends. They are kind and compassionate and treated my uncle with the dignity that he deserved. This is a lovely care home which offers peace of mind to the family.
Ash Grange Care Home is a wonderful place with a nice staff. Helpful and caring.
Chose this care home for Mom after various information-gathering exercises. It was the right choice. Mom was treated with the utmost care and looked after very well with dignity. As visitors we were treated very well and with compassion by everyone we came in contact with.
The care home and staff were excellent. Always happy and smiling.
The care at the facility has been excellent. The staff are all friendly and welcoming.

What does ‘kindness’ and ‘kind care’ mean to you?
“Kind care to me means listening and being honest, and showing compassion in the care that we deliver. It means caring for our residents as individuals with their own unique needs and way of living.”
As a Registered Nurse, Ure has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
Having worked for HC-One since 2019, Ure closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She said:
“I believe in giving wholesome care to residents because when they are in our care, we must be dedicated to every aspect of their needs. We are able to get them involved and help them relive some of their cherished memories and make them feel part of our community. It’s like being part of a community: making a positive impact on the general well-being of people by being caring, treating them with respect and kindness, and being involved in their lives.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ure remarked:
“Working with the elderly and caring for them in their final days is very special. I enjoy learning about the lives of our residents and am always pleased to reminisce with them and their loved ones and get a glimpse into their lives before their time with us at Ash Grange.
My name badge says: ‘Treasure Life’ because life is precious and has to be cherished, nourished, and enjoyed. We strive to enable our residents to continue to experience treasured moments. It is heart-warming and fills my heart with pride knowing that my team and I have made a positive impact in a resident or their loved one’s lives.”
Ure feels she has achieved much during her career, with her proudest achievement being her career progression from an internationally trained pre-registered nurse in September 2022 to becoming a registered home manager in October 2023. She also achieved a First-Class degree at the University of Derby whilst also working full-time.
Outside of work, Ure enjoys family time, watching movies, and reading books.
