The care at the facility has been excellent. The staff are all friendly and welcoming.
My sister was looked after with great care and passed away peacefully.
An absolutely brilliant afternoon spent at my aunt's birthday party. The staff are all exceptional, especially the lady (care assistant) who provided the music.
My overall experience of Ash Grange is very good. Think a few more care staff is needed.
Thank you for your feedback. All feedback is very important to us. I wish to assure you that Ash Grange has processes in place that highlights staffing ratio to residents needs to ensure the home has adequate colleagues to care and support all residents. This is reviewed by the Home Manager and...
Vering caring and respectful to residents. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
The confusion following late admission from hospital was dealt with admirably. All the staff were kind, courteous and helpful. The managers explained procedures thoroughly and clearly. Mom's room was spacious and ample storage provided. It was kept spotless throughout her stay. Staff were aware of Mom's pain and were very gentle in moving her. She was checked throughout the day and night. Records were kept and available for us to see at anytime. Mom's death was dealt with thoughtfully and help in arrangements was given. Great sympathy was extended.
Happy that Mum is well cared for. Activities are marked lower, as it has taken a long time to find her a chair. Not sure how often she is included in community activities, despite her complex needs. The manager and staff are friendly and caring.
We had our concerns about how my mother would cope with being in the care home, as she had been cared for at home for many years but she settled in very quickly. All the staff are amazing and do all they can to make my mother comfortable and happy. She has been at Ash Grange Care Home for over four months now and joining in with the activities, which we thought was not possible and it's a relief to know she is happy.
My daughter, son and I are really pleased with the attention my husband and father get. The staff are so pleasant, the food looks good and serviced nice, no problems if you can eat well. My husband says the bed is really comfortable, the room is very clean and tidy
The experience at Ash Grange is positive. All areas of care are professionally met by all staff, who are approachable, caring and listen to both residents and family. Dietary needs are met with fresh wholesome foods with a good variety to choose from and well presented. Activities in the day room is short and could be extended into residents' rooms for those who cannot access the day rooms. Residents' rooms are airy, kept clean, warm and furniture is kept tidy and maintained. Security is good and works well. Personal items are kept safe and clean e.g photos and TV. Residents' safety and care are individually tailored.
Thank you for your review, it is so nice to hear positive feedback and I am pleased that your overall experience at Ash Grange has been one that includes relatives as well as the people we care for. However I am sorry that you feel our activity programme is not extended to those who may be unable...
My wife likes it here. I am very pleased with the care shown to her and the food is excellent. I am very pleased with the room.
Very good. Look after us well. Happy home, full of laughter.
Very good. Good care and food.
All staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drink excellent and varied.
Very welcoming staff, very sociable.
A small compact care home with staff that have huge hearts! Because the home is small the carers/nurses/staff can get around to all the residents quickly and efficiently. The staff caring for my mom are exceptional and caring and mom has grown fond of them. A particular nurse has to be mentioned as she keeps me regularly informed due to me living in Ireland.
Mom was transferred to Ash Grange Care Home from hospital, for end-of-life care. I couldn't fault the care and attention she received and was a very positive experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff provided extra support with feeding her and chatting (my mom's favourite pass time!). The room was clean and tidy, but when the cleaners came to clean Mom offered to show them how to clean properly (her second favourite pass time!). Think they took it in their stride! I spent long hours at the care home during her final days, they made me feel extremely welcome and that it was never too much trouble with me being present. It was disappointing for me that Mom wasn't in better health when she arrived because I feel that she would have embraced it. This seemed to be an excellent care home, although Mom's stay was cut quite short they seemed to make residents feel relaxed and welcome, and I felt looked after, and have nothing but praise for them.
The staff and other residents have all been very supportive to our mom this has enabled mom to thrive and gradually settle into her new environment. Staff are always happy to answer any questions you have and offer support for all in any way that they can.
In for respite. Very friendly atmosphere. All very professional staff. Really do not want for anything. Catering very good, varied diet available. Nice accommodation, very clean.
My sister was at Ash Grange to receive end of life care for 4 months. This is an exceptionally well run care home - clean, safe, and secure. As my sister's condition deteriorated I was allowed to visit her bedroom upstairs instead of the normal meeting room. There is an air of calm about the building and I am full of admiration for the amazing work that the staff do. They are hardworking, always cheerful, and build up excellent relationships with the patients.

As a Registered Nurse, Ure has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
She extends a caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She said:
“I believe in giving wholesome care to residents because when they are in our care, we must be dedicated to every aspect of their needs. We are able to get them involved and help them relive some of their cherished memories and make them feel part of our community. It’s like being part of a community: making a positive impact on the general well-being of people by being caring, treating them with respect and kindness, and being involved in their lives.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ure remarked:
“Working with the elderly and caring for them in their final days is very special. I enjoy learning about the lives of our residents and am always pleased to reminisce with them and their loved ones and get a glimpse into their lives before their time with us at Ash Grange.
Ure feels she has achieved a lot during her career, with her proudest achievement being her career progression from an internationally trained pre-registered nurse in September 2022 to becoming a registered home manager in October 2023. She also achieved a First-Class degree at the University of Derby whilst also working full-time.
