Designed to offer maximum comfort in a cosy environment, residents benefit from a range of places to relax and socialise. The pretty gardens and patio are an ideal spot for catching up with family and friends and many residents take pleasure in hobbies, including baking, writing, gardening, dancing, painting, quizzes and playing chess.

Ash Grange also offers a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy meal times, whether dining alone, with other residents or welcoming friends and family. The catering team prides itself on making mealtimes a sociable and stimulating part of each day, providing an enjoyable experience for all residents.

My dad spent the last two weeks of his life at Ash Grange during the very difficult times of covid restrictions.
I would like to send my thanks to all the staff who kept us fully informed of any changes in Dad's condition, his end of life care was excellent. Thank you all again.

I would like to send my thanks to the whole team at Ash Grange, your care and support for my Grandad was above and beyond every day that he was in your care. In 18 months you welcomed Grandad into your family and made his time there not just easier for him but for me too, I knew he was safe and well
looked after. It was like he had a new lease on life, he thrived with the support that he received from the care team and also the activities co-coordinators. The team enabled him to be a little bit independent which is one of the things he struggled with when he moved to Ash Grange. The assistant manager and the team did so much for him in the time he was there and were there for him not just on the good days but the bad days too. I will be forever grateful for the time you all spent making him feel loved. We/he appreciated every one of you. I would highly recommend Ash Grange as they are not just a care team they are the family that can not be there 24/7. Best wishes to you all.

Ash Grange is a lovely care home, my mom spent her last 18 months of life there. She was always well looked after by the staff and we were able to visit anytime (apart from the pandemic). She had a grade 4 bedsore when she first went there, and it was only with this, that it healed. The staff are lovely.
Would recommend to family and friends. No problems at all. Keep up the good work.

Very satisfied with the care/nursing my father is receiving at Ash Grange Care Home. My father was very confused and underweight when admitted to the home after a long period in hospital. My brother in law spent 4 days at this home before he passed away. During that time I visited and had a warm welcome, was extremely satisfied with everything I saw, my brother in law was as comfortable as could be expected and I was kept informed every step of the way. The undertakers we used even passed
comment to me to give credit to the home for their prompt and professional handling of handing my brother in law over to them. They reported he was clean and dressed appropriately for collection and were impressed by the professionalism of the staff. Thank you.

During Covid we have been able to see my dear friend via the window of the home. However, staff have been very kind and thoughtful and have kept me updated and always been polite and courteous when calling. My friend appears happy at Ash Grange and she is safe and well in a Cofid-free home. Hopefully,
I will see my friend soon but I am content and happy knowing she is safe.

During the current coronavirus pandemic, the care home has maintained extremely high standards. The manager is always willing to listen and act on any suggestions you may have to improve contact during Covid. The wellbeing of the residents is always paramount. Great care overall. I am extremely appreciative
of all the staff who go the extra mile to care for my mum.

It has been a real delight to visit Ash Grange, over the past two weeks. To be able to sit with my wife in reception, mask and all, has been a super experience. She looks so well. The staff have clearly worked so hard, as a team, to keep a virus free home which is safe to visit. Cannot possibly ask
for any more. The staff are kind and considerate and truly have the welfare of all the residents at heart.

Since my grandmother moved into Ash Grange six months ago, I feel like I have got my grandmother back. Not only has her health improved, but her mental well being has also improved. The home has managed to remain COVID free, which is truly amazing. I cannot thank everyone enough.

We are extremely pleased with the care and support of not just my mum but us as well, we have been made to feel we are there with my mum even though we can't go to see her we have photo's, letters and videos. We are so glad we chose Ash Grange.

I just want to commend Ash Grange over the care of my mom.
When she went in there in September last year, she was frail having just recovered from a broken hip, I was told she would not walk again and was also diagnosed with Dementia.
The staff have worked really hard to settle mom, and although the
dementia will never go away, mom is interacting with people and has put over a stone on in weight. (Mom is 95) Mom is also walking with a frame.
I am also in awe of the way they have cared for the residents in this trying time keeping the virus at bay and keeping them all so well.
I can not thank them enough and in my opinion, deserve to have their achievements shouted from the rooftops.
What amazing people they are and I will always be in their debt.

From my initial visit, I was very impressed by the caring and dignified attitude of every member of staff. My mother has settled into her new home extremely well. Her room is excellent, all staff caring and attentive. All of the family are delighted with everything here.

On entering the premises the greeting was the most friendliest I'd encountered to do with care homes. Further on the continuous help and escort along my journey was refreshing taking in a beautiful friendly, atmospheric warm surrounding, to the departure of my visit. A nice home, helpful throughout

I had to find a nursing home for my mom who had just had a stroke. The help I had from the initial inspection to arranging a room was impressive. The room was reserved while we sorted out mom's needs re discharge from hospital. All details were explained and the process went very smoothly. Mom's care
has been excellent which helped us at a difficult time.

My mother-in-law is really well cared for. She has lots of interaction with staff and residents. The rooms are clean, comfortable and homely. “Kind care to me means listening and being honest, and showing compassion in the care that we deliver. It means caring for our residents as individuals with their own unique needs and way of living.”


As a Registered Nurse, Ure has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for HC-One since 2019, Ure closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She said:


“I believe in giving wholesome care to residents because when they are in our care, we must be dedicated to every aspect of their needs. We are able to get them involved and help them relive some of their cherished memories and make them feel part of our community. It’s like being part of a community: making a positive impact on the general well-being of people by being caring, treating them with respect and kindness, and being involved in their lives.”


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ure remarked:


“Working with the elderly and caring for them in their final days is very special. I enjoy learning about the lives of our residents and am always pleased to reminisce with them and their loved ones and get a glimpse into their lives before their time with us at Ash Grange.


My name badge says: ‘Treasure Life’ because life is precious and has to be cherished, nourished, and enjoyed. We strive to enable our residents to continue to experience treasured moments. It is heart-warming and fills my heart with pride knowing that my team and I have made a positive impact in a resident or their loved one’s lives.”


Ure feels she has achieved much during her career, with her proudest achievement being her career progression from an internationally trained pre-registered nurse in September 2022 to becoming a registered home manager in October 2023. She also achieved a First-Class degree at the University of Derby whilst also working full-time.


Outside of work, Ure enjoys family time, watching movies, and reading books.
