The home is clean, the staff pleasant and the management approachable if there are any concerns or problems. The lift not working is concerning if your relative is upstairs. Sometimes we have to ask staff to find Mom's things as they go missing but we're sure this happens in most care homes.

From the minute my grandad went into The Willows Care Home his health started to rapidly decline. Many times we told the staff and the doctors that came to visit the residents about the medication and prescriptions he needed and each time they kept telling us that they are assessing each resident in
what they need.
Each day we visited my grandad would tell us how hungry he was, so we started making him food at home and bringing it down with us.
My grandad was in The Willows care home for a total of seven weeks before his health declined that badly and he died in there. We really wished we had chosen another care home for him to of gone into but when initially visiting The Willows it was one of the better ones we had viewed.
Unfortunately, this was not the case which we could see each day we were visiting (we visited my grandad every day while he was in The Willows). Each day we visited we could see that there was a lack of care given to residents due to there not being nearly enough staff.

I am writing this in respect of my late mother who lived at The Willows, Darlaston, West Midlands.


Mom passed away on 17th June 2018, she was 93 years old. I just want to say she was looked after with impeccable care during the two and a half years that she lived at The Willows. This was especially

true in her last months, and in the last stages of dementia. All staff at all levels made us as a family feel welcome and included in all aspects of her care. She was always treated with affection and sensitivity, and her dignity was maintained to the last.


Can I just say a huge thank you to everyone at the home and to your organisation. As a family, we will never forget the kindness we have been shown.
