Bowood Court Care Home

Mum's been treated to a very high standard. All the staff have been very helpful and she's enjoyed her time here. The only reason we are cutting the respite short is the distance we have to travel, which makes it difficult for some family members to visit. As a family we would like to give you all a big thank you, for looking after our precious mum.

I often have to make my nan's bed and on occasions staff have been sat talking at the time. I feel some staff have issues with communication and this causes problems with assistance and dignity. Some brilliant options for it's residents and completely clean.

My mom is new to Bowood Court, however all the staff seem friendly and caring. Systems could be improved eg. photos went astray when moved from Bowood Mews. Mom got mixed with a DNR/ Nil by mouth resident when my mum needed to be fed. Everything is fine now, staff pleasant and mom is cared for.

When visiting I found all staff very friendly. My sister seems happy and well cared for.

After a few problems initially when my father couldn't settle the staff went out of their way to make him feel welcome, room is clean and comfortable. Food excellent, staff are always helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bowood Court to friends and family.

Mom recently has come to stay at Bowood Court. I have found all staff very good, polite, smart and knowledgeable. The home is clean, tidy and safe. Food looks excellent. The home is very relaxed and calm and it is a joy to visit my Mom who I know is in safe hands. We are all very pleased that we have chosen Bowood Court for Mom. Thank you to all staff.

My husband has been in Bowood Court for 8 years. He is happy here and very well looked after. I have nothing but admiration for all staff. They are excellent.

Out of the twelve care/nursing/addicted living homes we visited trying to place my 85 year old uncle, Bowood Court was by far the best suited for his needs. Turning up unannounced to view the facilities we were greeted by the administration staff in a warm and welcoming manner. This attitude is reflected in all of the staff working there. My uncle loves Bowood Court. His room is comfortable and light meals are varied and of excellent quality. Although a little on the shy side my uncle has no qualms or sense of nervousness when joining in the varied and stimulating activities. The home is of the highest standard and the control of medication is efficient. Bowood Court is a very warm and friendly place, whether you are resident or just a visitor.

Have found the staff very helpful. Care staff are very nice and seem to really care.

Generally very happy with the care. Meals are good but more staff are needed at mealtimes to assist those who need it. Staff are approachable and helpful but not always informed of what's going on with residents. Rooms could do with updating but generally clean and adequate.

I couldn't wish to leave my mothers health and well being in better hands, the staff are very good with her and are able to keep her calm when she flies into a panic so it is nipped in the bud quickly. The meals are extremely appetising with a good selection available. The manager and her staff are extremely helpful and let me know if they have any concerns I should know about. Very pleased she is staying here.

I feel my mum has settled in very well, she is well fed and well looked after. All the staff are great and she gets on well with them.

Mom has been in Bowood Mews for 8 months now and had put on weight, eating much better joining in with dancing, chatting, going out to lots of new places. The staff and management are very good and kind with my moms care.

A carer accompanied my mother to my stepfathers funeral and he was absolutely wonderful. Extremely caring and helpful and respectful of the family's feelings and emotions. Cannot praise him enough.
