Bowood Court Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing affordable and quality care in Redditch, Worcestershire.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being are at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

The home is divided into small care suites with residents enjoying spacious en-suite rooms. Each suite also has its own lounge, dining facilities, updated lifestyle kitchen and care team ensuring that residents are cared for by the same familiar faces every day. Bowood Court recently opened The Queen Elizabeth Arms, a traditional pub complete with a beer garden, which is situated in the centre of the home, providing a social hub for residents and their loved ones to meet for a drink, watch sporting events or enjoy a game of dominoes.

Residents are encouraged to book appointments in the newly refurbished salon.

Set in almost two acres, mature trees frame pleasant sensory gardens with patio seating areas, an aviary and raised vegetable beds.

My mother came to Bowood Court and Mews on 3 May 2017 after going walk about, and social services got involved.


She had, for a long time, said she felt unsafe at home and had not been able to look after herself properly.


On arrival, she liked it here. Her room was freshly decorated, the facility

was clean and tidy and the residents were all happy.


She is now better in herself and says she hopes she can stay here because she's got friends and feels safe.


I feel that she is better, health wise, and very well cared for. Neither she nor my brother have any complaints, and we feel Bowood and the staff here have transformed our lives.

My mother has been in this care home for 5 weeks. She has received wonderful treatment from every member of staff. Everyone is very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and varied.

My uncle has been a resident in Bowood Court for almost a year now. The difference in his health and well-being is exceptional. Bowood Court provides the security and stability he so desperately needed whilst the excellent staff give him the encouragement and confidence to join in, and be a part of
the Bowood community. The staff genuinely do care and are very kind and patient and now happiness is a realisation in my uncle's life again.

My mother has been at Bowood Court for 6 years approximately and the care has always been well above average. It is a very rare occurrence for her to have to go to hopsital because they look after her so well, making sure she eats and drinks well. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending friends to send

My mother has been a resident at Bowood for at least 12 years and during that time I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and very efficient. A friend of the family who is an agency care worker recommended Bowood as the best in the area so we took her advice and placed mum there and it

In my experience, my husband has, and still is being supported in all aspects of his health. The care home manager and all her staff are very supportive of his changing health and feel that he would not be suitable to be moved anywhere else. Both myself and our three sons have been very pleased with
my husband's care. I myself would recommend Bowood Court to anyone who's family are faced with the decision to move their relative to a care home.

Mum's been treated to a very high standard. All the staff have been very helpful and she's enjoyed her time here. The only reason we are cutting the respite short is the distance we have to travel, which makes it difficult for some family members to visit. As a family we would like to give you all a

My mom is new to Bowood Court, however all the staff seem friendly and caring. Systems could be improved eg. photos went astray when moved from Bowood Mews. Mom got mixed with a DNR/ Nil by mouth resident when my mum needed to be fed. Everything is fine now, staff pleasant and mom is cared for.

Overall Bowood has the potential to be an excellent care home. Unfortunately some of the staff really let it down. I've been sat here listening to the call system going for ages - I would hope no one needs urgent assistance!
I often have to make my nan's bed and on occasions staff have been sat talking
at the time. I feel some staff have issues with communication and this causes problems with assistance and dignity. Some brilliant options for it's residents and completely clean.

After a few problems initially when my father couldn't settle the staff went out of their way to make him feel welcome, room is clean and comfortable. Food excellent, staff are always helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bowood Court to friends and family.

I would like to praise Bowood Mews Care Home in Redditch for their amazing service.
We all read horror stories about Care Homes and their staff, but not always about the service when it’s been outstanding.
My Dad was in their care for 6 months, the attention to detail and the care received from staff/management
was fabulous.
The last 4 weeks of his life as he deteriorated, they allowed my Mum to stay with him 24/7, catered for her and staff showed such genuine and loving support that our family is eternally grateful for.
On every visit the staff showed a friendly and warm welcome and my Dad was comfortable right to the end.
A huge THANK YOU to all the team at Bowood Mews and can recommend this Care Home to anyone.
