Bowood Court Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing affordable and quality care in Redditch, Worcestershire.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being are at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

The home is divided into small care suites with residents enjoying spacious en-suite rooms. Each suite also has its own lounge, dining facilities, updated lifestyle kitchen and care team ensuring that residents are cared for by the same familiar faces every day. Bowood Court recently opened The Queen Elizabeth Arms, a traditional pub complete with a beer garden, which is situated in the centre of the home, providing a social hub for residents and their loved ones to meet for a drink, watch sporting events or enjoy a game of dominoes.

Residents are encouraged to book appointments in the newly refurbished salon.

Set in almost two acres, mature trees frame pleasant sensory gardens with patio seating areas, an aviary and raised vegetable beds.

I feel very confident that my mum is getting the very best care available - not only in terms of her physical wellbeing but also her psychological wellbeing. There is always lots going on, staff are lovely and supportive, she eats and sleeps well and overall it gives us all great peace of mind.

My father went into Bowood Court for respite in January 2019 and could not have had a better experience.
The staff and facilities are excellent and he looks 15 years younger than his 91 years. It hd been a difficult few months watching my dad's decline in care and health and Bowood Court has made it
so much better for him. He has much-needed companionship and interaction, care and kindness. I cannot recommend highly enough.

From managers, down to cleaners, all staff are very helpful, caring and approachable.

Mom has lived at Bowood Court for eighteen months, during which time the place has been transformed into the likes of a 5-star hotel. Beautiful surroundings. A place is only as good as it's staff and everyone we have encountered have shown professionalism and understanding throughout. They get to know
the residents and treat them with dignity and care.
Mom couldn't be in better hands in their twilight years.

Carers are polite and helpful, giving answers or referring to who can help us when we have questions. I like the fact that on occasion we're allowed to visit and have dinner with our parents. Also, very happy at the amount of activities laid on for the residents. They have a hairdresser for both men
and women and day trips out for meals or visits to different places.


Each resident is treated as an individual as to their care and needs and my father-in-law refers to it as his home, which is lovely.

Choosing a care home for a parent is very difficult and confusing. Bowood Court were very helpful and understanding at this time. Facilities and service they offer are very good with some caring people on hand. Most important my father's needs are dealt with and he loves the food. The imminent refurbishment
and extra facilities being provided will be a bonus.

From the day we were shown around the Mews in September 2016, we knew that this is where dad should see out his life and we were never disappointed. At the end of February 2018 dad fell and broke his hip, a total accident, and went into the hospital. Unfortunately, because of complications, his health
deteriorated and he was sent back to Bowood Court & Mews Care Home for end of life care. If things can be pleasant under such circumstances, the staff of Bowood Court & Mews Care Home from the manager down to the cleaners made it so the last 10 days of dad's life were days that we can look back now and store as happy memories for the family. The care, affection, and compassion they showed not only to dad but to the rest of the family was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and we can never thank them enough for helping to ease what could have been a harrowing experience.

Generally, my grandmother's care has been excellent. There have been a few issues due to a shortage of staff on a few occasions, but this has now been addressed. The staff are caring and work hard. Nothing is too much trouble and she classes this as home. We visit all the time and are always welcomed.
There are big plans for the year ahead and we look forward to being a part of it!

My mother has been at Bowood Court for only a couple of weeks but already, we are very pleased with the way she has been welcomed by all of the staff, which has helped her enormously during this settling in time.


Unfortunately, she has also tested their emergency service when she had a fall in her

room. Again the care and quick response from the staff members was very reassuring for us as a family. Well done Bowood.

My mother has been a resident at Bowood Court now for over 2 months. She came from recovery from hospital with a broken hip. The care the staff have given her has been amazing. She has already put on weight, smiling and enjoying life. The entertainment and activities are first class. The managers and
staff are so caring and keen to help giving the residents so much dignity and comfort.
