Bowood Court Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing affordable and quality care in Redditch, Worcestershire.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being are at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

The home is divided into small care suites with residents enjoying spacious en-suite rooms. Each suite also has its own lounge, dining facilities, updated lifestyle kitchen and care team ensuring that residents are cared for by the same familiar faces every day. Bowood Court recently opened The Queen Elizabeth Arms, a traditional pub complete with a beer garden, which is situated in the centre of the home, providing a social hub for residents and their loved ones to meet for a drink, watch sporting events or enjoy a game of dominoes.

Residents are encouraged to book appointments in the newly refurbished salon.

Set in almost two acres, mature trees frame pleasant sensory gardens with patio seating areas, an aviary and raised vegetable beds.

I am very happy here.
Everything is done well and I am yet to find fault.
I am very happy with the visiting arrangements given the current pandemic and how the care home staff have managed to ensure we still see our loved ones.

Mum is 100; she has been in Bowood for over 2 years, since moving from the North.
Having seen her in other homes I can state that in Bowood the care has always been first class.
The efficient and effective processes introduced to manage the pandemic were exemplary, with new residents isolated and
treated by separate carers until confirmed negative. As lockdown eased, structured visiting was introduced - with pods and gazebos. As Mum is unable to be moved I am allowed to visit in her room as an essential visitor (with the same testing and ppe as the staff). Friends from up North are also allowed to visit her window provided they book, which ensures that they don't interact with other visitors.
Social activities are varied, daily and excellent.
Medical control is unrivalled - each resident's meds displayed on a laptop on the trolley, which also displays the residents' photo as a check.
Carers, cleaners and support staff all have excellent interpersonal skills.
100% impressed!

I have made, what I consider permanent, many if not all of the staff at Bowood Court & Mews. Since my introduction as an inmate after a severe illness including Covid-19, I have met with unfailing 100% care and consideration. Food is also plentiful. Standards of hygiene are unsurpassed and I can categorically
state my physical and mental capacity has doubled in here.

My mother has been a resident at Bowood Court for almost 2 years. Throughout that time we cannot fault the care that she has received. The staff are helpful, informative and always cheerful. They have kept her mind stimulated and appreciated her sense of humour; as well as attending to all her personal

I am very impressed with the love and care given to my father during his stay at Bowood Court. Nothing was too much trouble and particularly during the last days of his life, the care was second to none, not only to him but also to my sister and myself while we sat with him.

I have always found the staff friendly and helpful on the many occasions when I visited my father. The care given to my father during his stay was excellent. Bowood is an excellent care home where staff go the extra mile to meet the needs of the residents. We truly believe that our Mum's two years at Bowood increased her quality of life and its enjoyment, extending her years. When we made the hard decision to put Mum in care, due to her health and dementia
deterioration, we were worried and felt extremely guilty. But that did not last long, as the care she received was outstanding. She was so happy there. Sadly she passed away, but the staff came into their most caring and comforting selves and went the extra mile to ensure she, and us, were supported during her final days.

My mother moved into Bowood Court in June. She had spent two months in various hospitals and decided reluctantly she would no longer be able to look after herself at home. Bowood Court has managed a remarkable turnaround in my mother. She is eating properly, putting on weight, socialising and very happy.
There
is a packed, varied activities programme every morning and afternoon, including weekends - cooking, films, quizz, sherry, crafts, guest singers, etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are everywhere.
After years of worry, I am now happy my mother has the best of care - as are all the family. My husband likes Bowood Court to a four-star hotel. An excellent care home.

I have already recommended it twice for a relative. The head chef knew about 'soft food' fab!. Managed to relax on holiday for two weeks! He had daycare here at Bowood Mews and felt relaxed. The office staff reassured us from day one. My life has changed. Told the social worker how fab it is to bring
to the team.
