Bowood Court Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing affordable and quality care in Redditch, Worcestershire.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being are at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

The home is divided into small care suites with residents enjoying spacious en-suite rooms. Each suite also has its own lounge, dining facilities, updated lifestyle kitchen and care team ensuring that residents are cared for by the same familiar faces every day. Bowood Court recently opened The Queen Elizabeth Arms, a traditional pub complete with a beer garden, which is situated in the centre of the home, providing a social hub for residents and their loved ones to meet for a drink, watch sporting events or enjoy a game of dominoes.

Residents are encouraged to book appointments in the newly refurbished salon.

Set in almost two acres, mature trees frame pleasant sensory gardens with patio seating areas, an aviary and raised vegetable beds.

Mom has been a resident at Bowood Court for six months now and we both feel she has become a member of a large family, from housekeeping to management; the friendship and care provided are excellent. My friend has been a resident for several months now. It was a big change for her to have to come into care. The staff have helped enormously to make the transition as best as it can be. Always friendly and helpful whenever I call in. My friend is happy and settled and lots of activities are offered.

My father has been at Bowood Court for a couple of months now, and I must say I could not be happier, nor could my father. My father has a few health issues, including diabetes, and his mobility is very limited. Before coming to Bowood, it was a struggle to ensure he kept on top of his meds and insulin
and that his diet was kept on track, as he was a fridge raider which is not good when he forgot to take his insulin! Within days, the staff at Bowood had done an excellent job of sorting his meds/insulin and diet out, and only after a few weeks, he is happier and more alert, and his sugar levels are close to what they should be. All the staff we have met at Bowood are all pleasant and friendly; the food is good with a great variety, and they even had a food tasting the other day for the residents, which my father absolutely loved. The care home is bright, clean and very welcoming. I could not recommend Bowood Court enough; well done, Bowood, keep up the great work.

My mother has been at Bowood for 4 years. They provided plenty of stimulating activities which Mum participated in - it is only her advancing years that she has less energy to participate. The food is well balanced with great variety and ample amounts.
The carers are lovely and it is good to get to
know them and they help Mum in very way that they can and are led by professional and caring staff and management team.

The care staff here at Bowood Mews have all worked incredibly hard over some extremely hard times. Staff show great care, compassion and commitment to ensure all residents get the best care. Myself and my family will always be eternally grateful for the care and support given to our mum.

Since mum has moved into the Court not only has the weight been lifted off us with the outstanding care she is given, she has really settled in and loves it, it's her new home. It's personal, cosy, homely and staff and managers really go the extra mile to make mum happy, meeting all her needs and keeping
her entertained and making friends. I couldn't recommend enough.

My mum has been at Bowood Court & Mews for nearly four years. I am pleased by the kind caring dedicated staff who are always loving, patient and very supportive with mum. The Christmas decorations are a treat too. Well done everybody I am always felt very welcome when I visit.

On the first day of my sister entering Bowood Court, she became a happy and contented person. She settled immediately with her extended family. Each time I visit she fills me with joy to see how happy she is. This is without doubt, down to the dedication of all staff. She speaks only of kindness and
how lovely staff are. I know when I leave her after each visit, she is going back home to a happy and contented family. To all staff... thank you, you are all truly amazing! For the time, patience, kindness and love you show to your patients. I would have no hesitation in recommending the wonderful home.

My Mother is very happy at the home and enjoys being there. She has a number of health issues and is well looked after. Reports on her condition are advised to me promptly. Staff at all levels have been very friendly and have helped with various issues.

While mom was in Bowood, we had some issues but on discussing these with management they were sorted. The carers were lovely with mom and they looked after her while she was there. Mom has moved now, but while she was there, I knew she was safe.

Everyone at Bowood Court is lovely and very polite. They have plenty of time for you, they look after our mom, so caring and thoughtful and give her lots of love and have a laugh with her too. Prior to my Mom moving in permanently to Bowood Mews she went there for 6 weeks respite. She was very ill at the time and their kindness and care saved her. We were so impressed with their level of care that when at a later date she needed to move into a care home permanently, it had to be Bowood Mews.
Their kindness, care and compassion has really helped my Mom settle into her new home and their understanding of her Alzheimer’s has been such a great support. My Sister and I say repeatedly that we are so glad she has moved there. We really can’t thank them enough and no matter when you ring or what you ask there is always a cheerful and helpful response.
